Chapter 7 – Secrets

Amber didn't know if she was shaking from the cool breeze of the evening going right through her soaked bathing suit or the feeling of fear of being held by Tarn. Either way she knew she was in danger.

"How'd you manage to get a hold of her again without getting torn to shreds," asked Helex.

"Luck. I suppose," Tarn said glancing down at his prize. He felt her breathing hard and her heart rate going a mile a minute. Unforgetly for her, the feeling of her heart beat made him wonder what his voice could do to a human heart.

"You should take her back to your ship immdently before you lose her again," Shockwave said breaking Tarn from his train of thought.

"Good idea," he said, "Kaon if you would."

"On it," Kaon nodded.

****Under the water, In the Energon Cave****

"You Lost Her!" yelled Sixgill at Thresher and Drift.

"I didn't realize she was gone till we got here!" Thresher shouted back.

"Break it up!"Drift yelled as he managed to sperate the two predacons, "Listen Amber isn't going to get any help with you two fighting."

The two predacons finally stopped to listen to the white mech as he spoke to them, "Tarn and his team are very sick mechs trust me. They have no sense of mercy or dissidence. There's no tell what Tarn will do to her, unless we can find them and stop them."

"Then I'll go back and….." Sixgill started.

"No offense, but two predacons, three if Predaking comes back, and one Autobot aren't going to stand a chance," Drift explained, "We need to find Optimus Prime and his team so we can even the playing field a little."

"Fine, we'll do it your way for now, but if she is harmed in any way promise me you won't hold me back," Sixgill said holding out a clawed servo. There was a long pause before Drift shook the predacon's hand and said, "You won't hear anything from me."

****Aboard The Peaceful Tyranny****

"Home sweet home," mused Tarn as he walked the halls of his ship with his prize still struggling in his grip. His music filled the quiet halls.

"Please let me go," Amber finally said.

"I could. Considering the only thing between you and your home is a thousand foot drop. Not to mention the distantence between you and the floor," he chuckled. His voice made chills go up her spine.

"Why are you doing this?" she asked.

"Because I can," he simply answered her. He could feel the girl trembling in his grip, "You must be interesting if those two predacons have been keeping on you."

"We look after each other," she said "That's what family does."

"Family?" Tarn said with a bit of a laugh as they turned a corner, "That reminds me…..if I remember correctly you called those two your brothers. Mind telling me now."

"Yes," she snapped back.

"You're not in a good position to be sarcastically with me," Tarn said giving her another slight squeeze as a reminder. He felt her struggle a little bit after he did it. He couldn't help, but smile at the fact she had the guts to try and talk back. It was more humorous than anything else. Being around the large predacons seemed to of made her not has a fear of standing up to larger mechs, but he knew he could fix that soon enough.

Amber felt him suddenly drop her and then catch her with his other hand, but he waited till she almost hit the ground. He laughed at her reaction. After she was safe in his other hand, she just clung to his hand for dear life. Her heaving chest gave her away amount of fear along with her panicking heartbeat. Hearing and feeling the human's heartbeat made him starting thinking again.

"I wonder," he said lowering his voice just a tad to see to see what it would do. He felt her entire body squirm. He knew that he had to be careful, they still needed her.

"What the hell was that?" Amber asked after he spoke. Her heart felt like it was on fire and slowed down a bit before returning to its normal pace.

"So it does work on other species," Tarn said to himself.

"What works?" Amber all but shouted at him. Tarn returned his attention to her and Amber began to wish he hadn't. She could see through the slit in the bottom of his mask, Tarn was smiling.

"I'll tell you my secret if you tell me yours," Tarn proposed lowering his voice again, "Starting with your relationship with the two predacons."

"You're not going to stop till I tell you are you?" Amber asked.

"Correct," he answered.

Being at odds with a psychopath was not Amber's version of a fun day.
