****Well I'm back. Thank you all for the amazing reviews. In the honor of Shark Week I decided to get a new chapter posted.

Chapter 8: Intimation In Many Forms

(Along the beach)

"Be careful the Decepticons seem to have taken interest in this place," Optimus Prime called calmly to his Autobots. They just arrived on the island after finding the energon signal, only to find Decepticons crawling around. It didn't help that they had to keep an optic on the kids, thanks to Miko.

"Why are we still here then?" asked Smokescreen.

"Because Ratchet picked up a distress signal," Arcee explained, "Besides with any chance, we can steal some energon."

The Autobots treaded quietly along the beach and tree line. Keeping a eye out for any Decepticons or anything else that could be considered a threat to them or the children. However they didn't seem to notice they were being watched already.

In the need by open ocean, Sixgill swam close to see if this small pack was the one Drift was talking about. It looked like it. Despite being upset over the loss of his little sister, Sixgill was willing to take any shot at getting her back. He had Thresher patrolling the other side of the island and Drift insisted on being on solid ground again. He wasn't quite sure what to think of the white mech, but Amber trusted him and he showed some concern about her disappearance.

It didn't take him long to notice the Autobot symbol on the big red and blue mechs arm. It looked the same as the on Drift. Sixgill took notice of the three human pups trailing behind the small pack. A small sting of emotional pain went through his spark; they reminded him of his little sister. Then he saw the giant green mech begin to turn around, on instinct he dived.

"Ah guys I don't think we're alone," Bulkhead spoke up when he noticed something moving in the water.

"What's wrong Bulk?" asked Miko

"I saw something moving in the water," he said, "Something big."

Optimus looked out to the ocean and saw nothing, but a nagging feeling told him to watch their backs. He learned a long time ago that just because it's quite doesn't mean there isn't something wrong. In fact, it usually meant something was defiantly wrong.

"I don't see anything," Miko said looking in the same direction Bulkhead was looking.

"Maybe you saw a dolphin or something," Jack suggested.

"I don't know. I don't know if there any dolphins in this area. I mean we don't even know where we are," Raf said as they walked forward. Not noticing the large dorsal following them.

****Other side of the island****

Thresher glided through the water, frustration flowing through him. He blamed himself for Amber's capture. This Drift better know what he's doing.

A sudden disturbance in the water got his attention. He noticed one of the mechs like the ones they attacked beginning to walk in the water. His cannon ready to go in case it was needed. Just what he needed a bit of stress relief. He dived down deep.

The sight of the large dorsal caught a vehicon's attention. Following orders he walked slowly forward. The vehicon walked in cautiously, but not too far, especially watching the fin disappear beneath the surface. He seen the damage those monsters could do. Despite his fear of them, he silently hoped the D.J.D. would actually kill them.

Thresher got closer to the mech, but stopped. His dorsal had broken the surface and the mech took notice, but he didn't move. The mech was waist deep in his world. He had a clear shot at him; it would have been easy to take him out. In turn the same could be said about the mech having a good shot at him, so why didn't he take it. Vibrations in the water told him that the mech was shaking with fear.

Though something bugged him, this all seemed a little too good to be true. Might be that's what was wrong with it. Thresher figured he better back off till he could size this up again. When he began to turn a sudden sharp jab behind his dorsal sent a surge of jolting pain through his body and something jump down in front of him and grabbing his head to keep him from turning around to bite whoever was the source of the pain.

He continued to snap his jaws till everything when black.

****Back on the other side of the island****

Boy could that girl talk. Sixgill followed the group for quite a bit of time and all he's heard was the little girl running her mouth. He rolled his optics. I gave the bots credit for their tolerance.

The moment his nose breached the surface a sudden scent caught his attention, a familiar one. It wasn't the one he wanted to sink his teeth into, but he'd happy take the opportunity to teach an unforgettable lesson.

A sudden crash of trees and a clash of metal came bursting out of the tree line.

"Wow," Miko said after two mechs came out the tree line fighting.

"Is that who I think it is?" Arcee spoke up.

"Drift…," Optimus said to himself.

"A little help would be appreciated," they heard Drift shout, when he end up on the losing end with the vehicons.

Before the Autobots could step in to help they seen something come charging out of the water and began to thrash the vehicons around. This creature was large and intimating and didn't seem to mind tearing the vehicons apart.

It reminded Optimus of Predaking… this was a predacon.

****The Peaceful Tyranny****

Amber felt herself get gently dropped onto what looked like a desk. She looked up to see Tarn sitting down, never once moving his gaze from her. Seconds ticked by like hours. Intimation leaked off of Tarn. Amber felt surprised that she was able to keep eye contact with him for so long.

Tarn on the other hand knew if probably wouldn't take much to break her. Though he gave her credit she was lasting longer than most mechs they've caught.

"Now are we going to be good and tell me," his deep voice sounded finally breaking the silence. Finally making her look down.

"I guess I have no choice," Amber said to herself knowing her options were limited. She felt someone left her head up, only to realize it was Tarn using his finger, to look up at him, "You've got that right….."

"Tarn!" a sudden voice came over an open comlink. A sigh of frustration escaped Tarn as he took his hand away and hit a button on the side of the desk and a large screen that Amber never even noticed came up. She saw the red robot that seemed to be part of Tarn's group.

"Yes?" Tarn asked trying not to let his frustration show.

"We managed to capture one of the predacons," he said. His words shocked Amber to her core and worry replaced her fear. Which one of her brothers did they catch? Was he ok?

**** Sorry it's been a long wait, but I hope it was worth it. The question is can the DJD match wits with a creature that's lived along side one of our planet's top predators.
