The Shadow

The shadow left me at the window sill, my hands tied to a water pipe, so I couldn't escape. It was freezing cold outside, and I was shivering as I felt a raindrop land on my nose. Soon enough, the night sky was sprinkling. My teeth grinded from this cold, rainy night in pitch black. I saw the shadow, which was black as night, no hair; it was just a black figure in the shape of a human. It came out of the Wendy's house, and had retrieved an unfamiliar teenage boy, about my age. Although I knew it was impolite, I began stare at him, wondering how I didn't know him. I knew Wendy quite well, and I knew that he wasn't one of her brothers. A friend, maybe? Either way, I didn't know him. The shadow flew over to where I was, and rapidly untied my hands from the window sill. Probably from my staring, the boy said "hello," to me. I thought it would be best if I were to introduce myself. "Hello, I am Rose Diamond" the words echo back into my head, I spoke so formal; I was barely even recognizable to myself.

"Baelfire" he replied. I shake Baelfire with his free hand, and the shadow takes my right hand. I try to avoid any eye contact with him, I might be weirding him out. The shadow gets on the move; it takes both of us through a series of buildings flying at us, and nearly cutting off our heads. Finally, we fly away from the city, up into the sky. There's a star up there, and the shadow must be trying to get to it. We reach the star, and for a moment, everything is so bright, that it could blind me. I close my eyes, only when I open them, I see the sea beneath me.

"NO!" Baelfire yells out. He dug into his pocket, and took out a box of matches, and he let a match on fire, causing the shadow to drop us into the sea.

I have no idea what is going this very second. First, my parents get into a fight with me and each other for no entire reason. Then, a magical figure shows up at my window, wanting me to go with it. And now, I've gone with it, and it led me to a star that leads me to a sea.

Our bodies land in the sea, and I am so cold, I can't feel any part of my body now. I lay there in the water, not doing anything.
