"Cat, this isn't the way to Leo's!" Ladybug shivered as she followed her partner through the darkened streets. It looked more like Halloween then Valentine's Day, with the mist floating in, and the moon was a strange yellow color. "Wait for me!" Ladybug quickened her pace and looped her arm through Cat's. "Its alright, M'lady." Cat said, and Ladybug gave him a look. "How could you tell I was nervous?" Cat wiggled his black ears. "I can hear your heartbeat. Sensitive hearing, you know."

Ladybug nodded. It was kind of nice to be out at night, the fresh cold air felt good on her cheeks. Plus, the cameras weren't out following them. A sudden crash made her leap in the air. Oh, why did she think going out tonight was a good idea? "Its just Oliver," Cat said, leaning down as a cat crept towards them. "A stray?" Ladybug's throat got tight as Cat petted the purring kitty. "Luckily for him, he has a home. He just just like to go on the prowl at night. Don't you?" Ladybug giggled. "Maybe he has a lady friend."

Saying goodbye to the cat, Cat led Ladybug down the block down to an iron gate. Ladybug shivered slightly as the wind blew around her black pigtails and she knew it wasn't just from the cold. "What is this?" "A shortcut." Ladybug might not have night-vision like her partner, but she could just make out his gleaming smile.

"Oh, no," Ladybug told him crossing her arms. "Shortcuts always lead to something bad." "Bugaboo," Cat put his arm around her shoulders, but Ladybug's expression didn't change. "You've been watching to many scary movies." "I don't even watch scary movies. Besides, the last time we watched a movie that was even slightly scary, you hid under the bed with your tail sticking out." "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that," Cat said.

"If you get me lost, its coffee for a month," Ladybug grumbled as Cat opened the gate which groaned. Oh, why couldn't their be someone here, and why was the night so dark? A owl hooted in the tree, and Ladybug couldn't identify some of the sounds she was hearing.

But then a smell calmed her senses, a lovely sweet smell. Roses, her very favorite flower! A gust of wind blew, and the clouds that had covered the moon sailed off, as if tired of playing peek-a-boo.

"Look, Bugaboo, there making a shape of a heart!" Ladybug watched as the petals danced in the now glowing light of the yellow moon. They were making a heart-shape. Cat knelt down, taking her hand. "See, I'm keeping my promise to protect you, and if we didn't go this way, we would have missed the petal heart." "Well, after all, Kitty, it is Valentine's Day," Ladybug told him with a wink.

Soon, they exited the park and Leo's stood across the street. Warm and glowing lights invited them in, promising good company and hot chocolate.

Though Ladybug had been nervous, she was glad she had gotten to see the petal heart with her partner under a glowing moon.
