Plagg was alone in Adrien's room which normally mean trouble, but today Plagg had other ideas. Marinette had made him a new cushion which was very soft, and Plagg had yet to test it out. Best of all, the cushion had little wheels of cheese on it. Sure, Plagg loved giving Adrien a hard time about the lovey-dovey stuff, but as Guardian and his girlfriend, she was alright in Plagg's book.
Positioning his pillow just right in a finger of sunlight, Plagg sank into the cushion. Ah, this was nice….Wait, his stomach was growling and the cupboard was on the other side of the room. Grumbling, Plagg flew over to the cupboard where all the cheese was hidden. Thinking he'd have a short snack, then snooze in the sun, Plagg settled down once more. But this cheese was hard, and Plagg liked it soft and bit runny. What could he do to make this right? Hmmm, the sun was warm so it could melt things….Plagg smiled as he positioned the cheese in the sunbeam. He yawned, rubbing his belly. Plagg, you are a genius. When you wake up, the cheese will be as runny as you like. Two minutes later, Plagg was asleep, snoring loudly.
Adrien came in from his morning jog, seeing his little buddy stretched out and snoring on his cushion, cheese at hand. He giggled. When he woke up maybe they could go to the cheese store. Sitting down at his desk Adrien clicked on his computer, hoping to catch up on some homework due Monday.
However, the snores continued to grow louder and Adrien swung around in his desk chair. How could someone that small snore so loud? Okay, he would often snore as Cat Noir but he was much bigger then Plagg. "A cheese statue? In my honor?" Plagg rolled over, and the snores died away. Clearly, he was dreaming.
Adrien decided to Face Time Marinette to see what she was up to this morning. Usually, Marinette picked up right away, but the phone rang and rang. Adrien started to get a bit concerned. He breathed a sigh of relief when she finally answered. "Hello? Yikes!" Marinette squeaked and burrowed under the covers. "So, my name is "Yikes!" M'lady?" Two bluebell eyes peeked at him, the rest of her body hidden beneath the blanket. "No, your name is Fur ball, and my hair is wreck!" "Did you sleep in again, love?" "Oh, Kwamis, is that drool?" Adrien burst out laughing, waking Plagg.
"Adrien, you interrupted my beauty nap!" Adrien swung away from the camera for the moment. "Its high time you got out of bed. You too, Princess." Adrien's eyes widened as Marinette sat up. Her hair was a spiky mess. "Um, want me to come help you that? We could hang out after." "Okay, but no pictures. I know how sneaky you can be with that naughty tail." "Bugaboo, I'm hurt. I may never recover." "You'll be fine, and I baked cookies last night. See you soon!"
"If you need to sleep, you can sleep at Marinette's," Adrien said, stowing Plagg and his cushion in his bag. At first, Plagg wanted to protest, but when he found it was dark and cool in Adrien's bag, and it smelled like cheese he perked up right away.
When Marinette answered she was wearing a shower cap on her head. "I don't know what you crazy kids are up to!" Tom told Adrien as he read the newspaper from the couch. Marinette dragged Adrien into the kitchen. "He thinks I took a shower, but in reality I was trying to hide it." "Don't worry, we'll fix it. Now, about that cookie…." "No time."
"You know, its a good thing I love you so much because I am really disappointed about the cookie," Adrien teased, kissing her cheek as he set out the last of the hair supplies. Marinette glared at him in the mirror. "I know I could of done it myself, but your a perfect stylist." "Ha! You finally said it!" Marinette swung around to face him. "Said what?" "that I'm perfect! Oh, M'lady, now I can die happy!" "Don't push it."
Marinette sighed happily a few moments later, as Adrien begin to brush through the tangles. Her dark hair though messy, was as soft as silk. "Good thing we aren't going out till later, I wouldn't want anyone to be frightened of your hair. Akumas and all."
The bantering continued as Adrien worked, Finally, he swept it into a bun. "Just how do you do it?" Marinette asked with respect and awe. "All stylists have secrets. But the answer is YouTube."
Adrien held out his hand which Marinette took. "Um, Princess as much as I like holding your hand, I was actually waiting for my payment."
After a cookie or two, Adrien and Marinette started off to the cheese shop. "I can't wait to try Leo's new macaroons!" Nikki chattered excitedly. "Wait, I made a new batch of macaroons and I didn't get that reaction!" "That's because the batch you make on Sundays is for Adrien. You know, the passion fruit ones?" "Nikki, Adrien's right there!" "And I'm touched. So, what are you more passionate about? Macaroons? Or Adrien Agreste?" "You are such a fur ball," she muttered. "Marinette," she looked up at Adrien's voice change, and he pointed to a alleyway.
When they were out of sight, he slid his arm around her waist. "Fur ball, huh?" His lips hit hers with passion and Marinette forget to pretend to be cross as she wound her arms around his neck.
"Can we please get going?" Plagg poked his head from Adrien's bag, rubbing his eyes sleepily with his paws. "Plagg! Have you been hiding this whole time?" "Napping." "And you using my cushion!" Marinette kissed the top of his head. "Sugar Cube, she's lovesick and crazy," Plagg wailed. "Come keep me company before she tries anything."
"Come on, grumpy. Weren't you saying just the other day she's your favorite guardian?" Plagg looked from one to another. "Your my favorite Guardian, and your my favorite holder. Now, give me cheese!"
"that's the Plagg I know and love," Adrien said as they headed to the cheese store.
