Story Arc: Welcome to Paris
Episode 1: We are Shoggoths ! (II)
Chapter 1: Let's explore a mysterious space station?
Plot: A few hours before Ladybug found an abnormal "Akuma", a hero from Boston and his assistant created a spacecraft, during the test run, they discover a mysterious space station. What can be found inside?
XXX
Outside the Burrow of Bunny.
A few hours before Bunnyx's vision became real.
The city of Boston has become the third city in America to experience an extraterrestrial attack.
But unlike the first two cases, New York and Los Angeles; Boston didn't have to be saved by the Avengers with the help of a group of unsung heroes or the Fantastic Four.
The city has been saved by the mysterious local hero, Arkan Bloodedge and the Guardians of the Galaxy, a dysfunctional band of space heroes.
XXX
The skyscraper built by Camelot Industries is the largest building in the city and in the world.
More imaginative citizens consider Tower Camelot to be an improved replica of Avengers Tower or the Baxter Building.
It is these people with great imagination, they are right, because this skyscraper is not only the symbol of power and prestige of a nascent multinational company.
Camelot Industries may seem like a successful agency that is expanding into many fields, especially pharmaceuticals.
But in reality, Camelot Industries, exists solely to aid and further the ambitions of Bruce Bahamut Belmont alias Arkan Bloodedge.
In short, Camelot Industries is Boston's "JoJo's" Speedwagon Foundation.
XXX
On the top floors of Tower Camelot is a hangar that contains a very special experimental vehicle.
This vehicle is a dropship, created using the Fantasti-Car MK III design and a lot of advanced technology.
The spacecraft is mainly black and yellow in color, made of a smooth material.
The shape of the vehicle vaguely resembles a large H.
The spacecraft seats ten passengers and is divided into nine sub-components that can be broken down into smaller, self-contained vessels with their own propulsion and armament systems.
Four cockpits to port side; four cockpits on the starboard side and a large control box in the center of the nacelle.
For a design reason, the central sub-component has two seats instead of one, while also having a greater amount of communication systems and other small surprises.
Around the aerospace engineering masterpiece, there are Bruce and Tails who are working on orographic screens.
Bruce Bahamut Belmont is a 17-year-old young man, 171 centimeters tall, with large gray eyes, possessing a slim and lean, even bony build.
His skin is as white as milk or porcelain.
The soft and delicate features of the face make it very androgynous, even downright feminine in the right light.
Her hair is inky black, kept short and slicked back, letting one strand fall forward.
Instead of his usual Noir sleuth attire, he's wearing something that looks like it's straight out of a sci-fi movie.
Bruce's left eye is covered with a black patch.
Bruce wears a skintight bodysuit that covers all the way up to his head; the dress itself is black with purple colored circuit lines and neon purple highlights centered around the left side.
Over the black suit, Bruce wears three accessories, a choker, a pair of bracelets and a belt.
The choker is silver, with a coin-shaped pendant decorated with a symbol, OOO, which could mean beyond infinity.
The choker connects to two short necklaces equipped with charms, a sword and a kind of key.
Around his wrists he wears futuristic silver bracelets, which seem ready to transform into something comparable to Tony Stark's creations.
The metal belt could belong to Batman in terms of functionality and weaponry in the form of small gadgets.
The superhero belt carries some prominent items.
Two small books with an antique look, bordered by thin chains that allow you to hang them from your belt.
Finally, he keeps a red bandana tied around his left bicep.
Miles "Tails Prower is anthropomorphic fox cub, seven years old, 70 centimeters tall and weighing 15 kilograms.
Tails suffers from a unique genetic mutation that gives him two tails instead of one.
It has primarily amber fur with white fur around the muzzle with tufts on the cheeks, front torso with fluffy fur over the chest, and the tip of the tail.
It also has large triangular ears with white channels on top of its head, a small black nose, and three strands of hair on its forehead.
Tails wears white gloves with a gray band around each wrist; and red heel-to-center and white center-to-toe shoes with white cuffs and gray soles, each with a gray band around the ankle.
On Miles' shoulders is a small custom-made orange-white backpack.
A final addition to Tails' outfit is a cropped yellow scarf and a pair of aviator goggles.
The two geniuses are doing the latest diagnostic tests.
In a few seconds, the green signal and the full functionality message appeared on the screens.
"Project completed! All systems are operational and at full power!" Tails declares, jumping for joy, for having finalized such an important project together with his hero.
Bruce can't help but smile at the sight of Tails so happy.
"In less than ten days, the two of us created a vehicle, light years ahead of anything NASA makes." Bruce said, closing the orographic screens, not needing to do any further analysis.
The hero who secretly holds control of a multinational corporation approaches the joyful fox.
"Tails, you're the best organic lab assistant I've ever had. Not even Marcy is as good as you when it comes to advanced machinery." Bruce declares, reaching down to affectionately stroke his little assistant's head.
" You're overestimating me, much of the credit goes to your basic blueprints and materials supplied by Camelot Industries which is owned by you." Tails said, cheeks flushed, trying to minimize his contribution.
The little seven-year-old fox is not used to receiving compliments, but his two tails wag, a sign that he appreciates the affectionate touch.
"Tails, don't be modest, you contributed to the creation of this beauty, as much as I do, you deserve to feel proud of your work." declares Bruce, giving Tails a well deserved pat on the shoulder.
"Who am I to contradict the great Bruce Belmont." Tails said, his cheeks red, humbly accepting the praise of his hero and fellow scientist.
" Now, that this marvel works, we have to give it a name. What do you suggest, Tails?" asks Bruce, wanting to allow Tails to leave his personal mark on their creation.
"Can you give me permission to name the ship?" Tails asks, in a surprised tone, not believing in the privileges and luxuries he is afforded.
The little fox's admiration and affection for Bruce continues to grow day by day.
Returning to the planet Mobius, Tails didn't get a nice or fair treatment from the normal populace. But since he moved to Earth and lives/works with Bruce, his life has improved in incredible ways.
"Nothing bad happens if you're the one deciding the name of this experimental vehicle." Bruce said, having decided to leave this honor to Tails.
The little fox put a hand under her chin, thinking for a second what to name this masterpiece.
"Storm!" exclaims Tails, coming up with a name that syncs perfectly with the name of his old biplane.
"Tempest, I like it. The name of our first and official joint project is Tempest" Bruce said, touching the hull of the spacecraft with his right hand.
The entire right arm begins to be covered in neon purple circuit-like symbols.
As if by magic, actually nanotechnology, the symbols appeared over the hull of the spaceship, causing the name Tempest to appear on the hull.
"Shall we take a little break and go home for lunch or see what Tempest can do in the real world?" Bruce asks, wanting to know if Tails needs to rest or eat something after work hours.
Bruce thanks to his unique biology, augments undergone and the powers he possesses, does not need to eat or sleep.
But Tails is an alien fox with limited energy and normal biological needs.
Therefore, Bruce has to ask them every few hours if he needs to rest or eat.
"I don't want to go to your house. I want to stay in our lab and continue working at Tempest." Tails said, clearly expressing what she wishes to do today.
'My home ... our laboratory.' Thinks Bruce, in a melancholy tone, managing to understand a lot from this words.
'Going from being a marginalized orphan to being part of a big family is a complex process.
It will take some time before Tails truly feels like part of the family.
But at least he's starting to see himself as an integral part of the lab and my life as a hero.' Thinks Bruce, looking at the progress Tails has made.
The little fox has stopped feeling restless about staying in the Clawthorne-Noceda house indefinitely, giving up the idea of returning to live alone on the planet Mobius.
"Let's see if the space is ready for us again." Bruce said, with an adventurous smile, wanting to return to space properly aboard a futuristic vehicle.
" I'm going to get Carmen and Vritra, along with some gadgets that might come in handy.
Meanwhile, you must don the unstable molecules suit. I can survive in empty space, but you can't." Bruce declares, stepping out of the hangar to grab everything needed for this test run.
"I'm getting ready right away." Tails said, scurrying over to a drawer full of tools, including a disc-shaped gadget.
By pressing the disc against its chest, a small amount of nanites are released, which create a black suit for the alien fox's body.
The suit worn by Tails closely resembles Bruce's, only white in color with yellow circuitry.
XXX
After fifteen minutes.
A secret section of Tower Camelot has opened, revealing a sort of runway.
In a second, the Tempest opened its engines, taking off, aiming skyward.
Thanks to a mix of holograms and camouflage systems, no one noticed the Tempest or Tower Camelot's runway.
XXX
Inside the Tempest, located in the central cockpit, are Bruce and Tails.
The cockpit is designed to look like a hexagon of sorts.
The place has a sleek, futuristic and somewhat gloomy vibe, with lots of black and purple.
Tails sits on a liquid metal seat that adjusts to the user.
In front of the are three large screens that project overseas.
Bruce is behind him, sitting on a black metal seat, on the sides there are two levels of keyboards and screens showing information about the vehicle and its surroundings.
In front of Bruce's place is an arc-shaped keyboard.
This keyboard is as long as a piano keyboard, perhaps even longer considering its arched shape.
This keyboard is also the least scientific and most magical item in the cabin being made entirely of what look like rectangular pieces of glass, covered in runes.
Bruce and Tails aren't the only ones in the cockpit.
Bruce brought with him, his "pets", a blue-eyed female crow and a strange mutant ferret-like creature, reminiscent of Kudamon from Digimon cartoons.
The female crow is called, Carmen, while the "ferret" is called Vritra.
Carmen is sitting on Bruce's left shoulder.
Vritra, she stands still and relaxed, wrapped around Bruce's neck and shoulders like a scarf.
" This will be an unforgettable ride, I'm sure !" exclaims Tails, delighted to be able to pilot a spaceship in space again.
The fox from the planet Mobius doesn't know how right he is about to be.
Not even in a thousand years Tails or Bruce will be able to forget the events that are about to happen in the next few hours, the same goes for the people who live in Paris.
XXX
The Tempest is a flying machine that can go around the world in less than thirty minutes.
But, once out of the planet's atmosphere, Tempest can reach a higher speed, being able to leave the solar system in seconds.
This is evidenced by the fact that the Tempest passed Mars in five minutes.
"Everything works within the established norm. The Tempest can travel through the Milky Way. But for intergalactic flight it's a completely different story." Bruce said, already having a new goal in mind to reach.
"Now, what do we do?" Tails asks, having no idea what to do or where to go.
The little fox had participated in the construction of Tempest not because he wanted to travel across the stars again, he just wanted to work alongside Bruce.
"It could tamper with government spy satellites." Bruce said, half joking and half serious.
Such a move could alert several important people, but it would be a gold mine for obtaining sensitive information.
"Something less ... compromising." Tails proposes, wanting to avoid alerting the government and risk being captured and experimented on.
"We can't go too far, we have to go home for dinner. This means we can't go to the other side of the Galaxy to explore the Massassi or Je'daii ruins." Bruce said, sounding sorry he couldn't go investigate the mythical alien ruins.
"Could we do a tour around nearby star systems?" Tails proposes, believing that there must be something of interest somewhere not too far from Earth.
" Good idea." Bruce said, starting to press buttons on the keyboard, activating the Sublight engines.
In an instant, the Tempest exited the Sol System, going towards a "gold mine", full of dangers and just as many opportunities.
XXX
The Tempest appeared in the Exodus Cluster, a star system "close" to the Sol system, this place can count on the presence of nine planets and a large asteroid field.
"If the human race ever manages to leave the solar system, this place would become an extrasolar colony." Bruce murmurs, looking at the planets present, seeing raw elements for colonies.
"Bruce, the radar is revealing a subtle energy signal!" Says Tails loudly, pointing to a glowing dot on the radar.
"This place is devoid of life and there is no sign of a man-made structure. Could we have found a ruined spacecraft broadcasting a distress signal?" Bruce mumbles, making a good guess as to where the signal might be coming from.
"Tails, take us to the energy source. If they're innocents in danger, we'll help them. If they're pirates, we'll send them to the Nova Corps." Bruce said, always ready to lend a helping hand to an innocent in danger or send a criminal to jail.
"Bruce and Tails, space heroes to the rescue!" Tails exclaims, with a smile on his lips, piloting the ship towards the energy signal.
The little golden fox likes the idea of being a hero and saving people.
Once the spacecraft approaches the asteroid field, it becomes clear that Bruce and Tails have found nothing like they imagined.
In the asteroid field there isn't a damaged spaceship that needs help or space pirates to fight, none of that.
In the asteroid field is a giant space station built to look like a scary skull.
"Bruce, we can go back to Earth, all of a sudden I'm craving a nice slice of pizza." Tails said, trying not to sound intimidated by the mysterious space station.
"Tails, you can be honest with me, I won't call you a coward if you're a little scared.
It's perfectly normal, a grotesquely shaped space station sending mysterious signals, it looks like the beginning of a space horror movie." Bruce said, in a gentle tone, reassuring Tails to be honest with him.
"I'm not afraid of a space station that looks like it came out of Dead Space." Tails said, his voice shaking, referencing one of the scariest video games he's ever played.
"Tails, after playing that game, you and King, both of you were scared shitless.
You two had to sleep in my bed, with the light on for three nights in a row." Bruce said, remembering very well how his brothers in furs knocked on his door, asking to be able to stay with him for the night.
The next day, neither of them was allowed to play "scary" video games before sleeping.
"I'm not scared, I just don't like it, it reminds me of Brainiac's space base." Tails said, making up an excuse, not wanting to discuss the days when he feared the Necromorphs would be next to attack Earth.
"You're right, it looks like Brainiac's hideout. But I have to remind you that Brainiac is only a fictional character, he's not real." Bruce said, slightly amused by the little fox's excuse.
"The famous words of the "magical" hero, full of genetic mutations and artificial enhancements, chosen by three "mystical" crystals, a sentient sword, seven chaotic rings and a Tower of Babel locked up in "hell".
Each of these items comes from other worlds like Boiling Isles, Amphibia, Camelot, Arabian Nights." Declares Tails, pointing out the absurd life of his hero/best friend.
Above all it underscores Bruce's tendencies to get involved in rather complicated deals centered around highly valuable artifacts.
" You're right, Tails, we live in an absurd reality and I get into the most improbable situations.
The only ones who have stories like mine are the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men and Spider-Man." Bruce said, knowing that only a few dozen people on the entire Earth can claim to have lives as interesting as his.
"So, shall we go back to Boston for the moment or do we investigate the space station?" Tails asks, hoping his hero/best friend might decide on a more prudent and scientific approach.
The little fox has no illusions that Bruce will set foot inside the space station, he wouldn't be a hero if he backed down from danger or scary places.
But in the little fox's mind there is a huge difference in the two possible approaches.
Risky method, going directly to the unknown space station, with only what they have, hoping not to awaken a space horror.
Safe method, return to Earth and prepare properly, using the vast resources of Camelot Industries.
Bruce was silent for a long moment, looking at the space station and Tails, as if deciding between family and adventure.
"Tails you can return to Earth. Vritra will stay with you on the journey." Bruce said, in a thoughtful tone, choosing to take Tails home.
"Me and Carmen, let's go see what's inside." Bruce said, willing to take a calculated risk and go alone, while the little fox stays safe in Boston.
The Yellow Fox was dumbed down by his hero's response.
A part of his soul is happy that Bruce cares about him, to the point of not forcing him to set foot on that scary space station.
A second part of her soul, she feels complicated feelings about going back to Boston and letting Bruce go alone.
"Are you sure we are a good idea to enter a space station in the shape of a skull, inside there could be killer robots, alien monsters or laboratory experiments run amok!" Tails exclaims, wanting to dissuade Bruce from going there alone.
" Don't worry, I won't be alone, Carmen will stand on my shoulder and I will carry heavy artillery." Bruce said, with a confident smile, deciding to reassure Tails, bringing out the best of his arsenal.
Bruce raising his left hand and blowing on it, causing a small golden mist to appear, then five fine rings appeared.
The Ring of Light, a very elaborate obsidian ring, with an oval white / blue stone.
The Calamity Ring, a crystalline ring, with a rectangular yellow stone.
The Ring of Chaos, a complex ring with a very particular shape, a gold dragon and a silver dragon biting each other's tails.
This ring created by the Fairy, has a square stone of green color, on the stone there is the image of two swords crossed, forming an X.
The Ring of Darkspine, a golden ring, with the "May God Bless You" on it, decorated with seven small crystals of different colors.
The Ring of Babel, an ancient bronze ring from Mesopotamia, covered with indecipherable ancient inscriptions.
These five rings are the priceless trophies that Bruce has achieved over the years.
They aren't weapons of mass destruction in themselves, but each of these rings is a gateway and conduit to greater power.
"Bruce, I don't underestimate your power, I've seen firsthand what you can do when you get angry." Tails said, having a very clear memory of Skrull and Kree warships being engulfed in flames.
"I just don't like the idea of me leaving while you move on to adventure." Tails confesses, feeling like he's a ball tied to his hero's foot.
For the little fox this feeling is a thousand times worse than the fear invoked by the skull-shaped space station.
"Tails, are you sure you want to assist me?" Bruce asks, not wanting to force Tails to do something against his will.
"Exploring a new scary place, won't let you run away from me." Tails said, with a look full of determination, having put aside his little fear in favor of standing next to his best friend/hero.
"I've always been a leaf in the wind, let's see where I end up this time." Bruce said, with a bittersweet smile, keeping his eyes fixed on the space station, sure something is going to happen.
XXX
The space station's entrance hangar is of considerable size, being able to accommodate hundreds of small-sized spacecraft.
The place is quite dark and dusty a clear sign that nobody has been here for a very long time.
Unfortunately, the entrance doors are sealed, preventing anyone from entering or leaving without using drastic methods.
Whoever built this place didn't count on a teenager with the power of teleportation.
BlLING!
Suddenly, Bruce appeared in the center of the hangar in a flash of purple-black fluorescent light.
"Owning the X-Gene has been a huge source of trouble for me. This mutant Gene has gotten me involved multiple times with the X-Men and their enemies. But the power of teleportation has been a lifesaver too many times to count. Although lately it's getting difficult to use." Bruce mumbles as he looks around for a terminal to open the hangar.
It was easy for Bruce's eyes to see through the darkness and locate a control terminal, installed against the wall of the hangar.
"Let's see if my Nanites are compatible with this alien technology." Bruce said, placing his hand against the terminal, making circuit-like symbols appear in neon purple.
" I love technology, so far it has proven to be a universal key to any type of technology." Bruce said, a smile on his face as he orders the terminal to open the doors and turn on the lights.
"I love nanotechnology, so far it has proven to be a universal key to any type of technology." Bruce said, a smile on his face as he orders the doors to open.
Tails was able to land the Tempest, smoothly at the first opportunity, this speaks to Tails' talent as a pilot.
The cockpit opened, Tails and Carmen flew out to be with Bruce, while Vritra lay on the seat to watch (sleeping with her eyes open).
"Have you discovered anything?" Tails asks, hoping to learn some information about the structure.
The little fox, unlike Bruce, is wearing a helmet to protect himself from lack of oxygen or unbreathable air.
"Cra Cra!" Croaks Carmen The Crow, sitting on Bruce's left shoulder, his favorite seat in the entire universe.
"At first glance, no living thing has set foot in this hangar for a long time, at least a few decades from the amount of dust present." Bruce said, pretty sure they've been the first visitors for several years.
"That's a good thing. It means we don't have to worry about villagers hating surprise guests." Tails said, trying to look on the bright side.
A scary and abandoned space station is a thousand times better than a scary and monster filled space station.
"Tails don't let your guard down. Being the first guests for a long time doesn't mean that someone or something can't be here." Bruce said, warning his assistant to be careful.
"What could live in decades of isolation in a space station?" Tails asks, trying not to think of a Necromorphs.
"Rock Guards, lethal security systems, runaway Artificial Intelligences, a crew in suspended animation, long-living lifeforms, hibernating creatures or ghosts. Any of them could be a possibility." Bruce lists some scenarios that can happen in such a place.
"Please don't tell me we're going to be the Scooby-Doo team and split up to look for clues?" Tails asks, not wanting to be chased by a possible space monster.
According to the cartoons of the Earth, the monsters targeting the smallest and cutest first, i.e. Tails.
"Velma, don't act like you're Scoby." Bruce said, patting Tails' head to calm him down.
Bringing into question Scooby-Doo, one of Tails' (and Bruce's) favorite cartoons.
Carmen knowing what's coming, flaps her wings and flies off Bruce's shoulder.
"I am not Fred Jones, I am Batman combined with Sherlock Holmes, wherever Batman/Sherlock goes, he will have his Robin/Watson by his side." Bruce said, lifting Tails up and onto his shoulders to get him close.
"Can I be Tim Drake is my favorite Robin?" Tails declares, if he's got to be a Robin, then he's got to be the best Robin.
" You can be whoever you want to be. But I thought Barbara Gordon was your favorite character in the
Batman Family?" Bruce purposely asks, wanting to ease the tension for Tails, there is a balance between too much fear and too little.
"Barbara Gordon is pretty. But she's not my role model." Tails said, with a slight blush on her cheeks, possibly having a soft spot for redheaded women or women in bat suits.
Rouge the Bat, the woman addicted to stealing diamonds, must have left her mark on the innocent mind of Tails.
"Let's see what this place has done for us both." Bruce said, they walk with Tails on their shoulders towards the sealed exit of the hangar, preparing the Nanites to open it.
Revealing a long, dark and dusty corridor that made Tails' heart rate quicken.
'Fear of thunder, fear of water and fear of dark spaces in space. One day, I have to help my little brother overcome these little phobias.' Think Bruce, promising himself to help the little fox to deal with his problems, starting from the smallest to the largest.
'For now, I'll just bring some light on the path.' Thinks Bruce, raising his hand, using a prettier and more delicate form of white magic.
With concentration, Bruce created and released a flock of "butterflies" that glow in the dark, turning a scary road into a beautiful fairytale scene.
At the sight of the glowing "butterflies", Tails' heartbeat begins to slow down and a childlike smile appears on his face.
'What we don't do for the people we love.' Bruce thinks, keeping a stoic gaze, pretending that he didn't purposely choose this lighting method to help the little fox's nerves.
XXX
Bruce and Tails, assisted by Carmen and the flock of bright "butterflies", explored the space station.
In a flash minutes became hours.
Bruce and Tails have stopped at the heart of the space station, a command bridge
Below the control room is the promenade fitted with a teleportation deck that could send out at most seven people at a time.
"The scary exterior resembles Brainiac's hideout, but the interior reminds me of the Watchtower that belongs to the Justice League." Tails murmurs, comparing this place to the base of the most famous fictional heroes.
"Why was I afraid to go in here? The only thing threatening are the dust bunnies." Tails said, in a calm tone, treating the whole situation as an educational and fun experience.
"From what we've seen, this station can comfortably accommodate hundreds of people, equipped with a built-in teleporter, a fusion power generator, highly secure warehouses, and an elaborate command/communication center designed to coordinate large groups of people." Bruce lists the things they have discovered so far about this space station.
"If we can get access to the main computers, we could figure out who built such a place and why no one is there." Tails said, getting off Bruce's shoulders, going about his job as a professional hacker.
"Tails continues to investigate through the facility's archives. I'll diagnose the system, then turn on life support and the rest of the lights. It'll make the rest of the place easier to investigate." Bruce said, before grabbing a bridge computer, beginning to take over and restart the entire space station.
For a few minutes, the two super-geniuses remained silent, concentrating on completing their task. Meanwhile Carmen the Crow just flutters around them, looking for a possible threat to eliminate.
When the station's lights and life support became operational after a long period of inactivity, Bruce and Tails finished their work.
"I discovered something!" exclaim the two young scientists, turning to each other.
"I'll let you talk to me first." Bruce said, wanting to hear what Tails found.
"The space station archives have been completely erased, they can't find out who or what built this place or why they abandoned it. But I've discovered some pretty important things." Said Tails, expressing great regret for not finding out who the creator of the space station is.
" The computer system is built in such a way that a single AI can operate the structure on its own.
The lower levels of the facility are filled with mini-factories and assembly lines to build a small army of defensive drones.
Finally, the space station is equipped with a powerful energy cannon, with the power of a small nuclear weapon." Tails lists his findings, painting a rather warlike picture of this place.
" It's a good thing, that it's the two of us who find this place, instead of a megalomaniac like Doctor Eggman, Magneto or Doctor Doom.
I can easily see them threatening the whole world with the energy cannon and an army of robots." Bruce said, imagining a thousand scenarios where one of Earth's great villains would use the space station for world domination or destroy their enemies.
"We need to figure out a way to move the space station away from Earth to a safe place.
I like Earth, but there are too many super-villains and terrorist organizations to keep such a space station in Earth orbit." Said Tails, sharing Bruce's line of thinking, Earth is not a safe place to keep a space station with enormous destructive potential.
"This task will be high on my priority list. But first we have to finish investigating this place. I can't move the space station into the orbit of Planet Eos if it proves dangerous." Bruce said, having an idea where to transport the space station. But that's a job for another day.
"Bruce, what did you discover?" Tails asks, not wanting to delve into this serious discussion of moving the facility, preferring to hear his best friend's findings.
"There are three heavily guarded, off-limits zones in the station. The Command Bridge has no control over these zones. Everything is managed by an alternate internal network, accessible only from inside the rooms." Bruce said, in a calm tone, but his good eye is shining with interest.
So far the exploration has been nice, but terribly actionless, however that should change soon, with the discovery of the contents of one of the three sealed rooms.
"Let me guess, is one of these interesting places a throne room or a secret laboratory or some kind of treasury filled with valuable stuff?" Tails asks, knowing Bruce well enough to know what types of rooms appeal to him.
Before meeting Bruce and becoming his Sidekick (friend/little brother), Tails spent a lot of time observing and studying his hero…in a non-creepy way.
The little fox has learned that Bruce is a rather complex person, with many sides, for each of these sides he has a particular ambition and/or addiction to satisfy.
Bruce is a warrior, he takes an unparalleled joy in combat, to the point that if he finds a worthy opponent and defeats him, he will get a tattoo on his right forearm as a reminder.
In Bruce's experience the best opponents and the best rewards are obtained by finding a throne room. Several times, strong opponents may find themselves seated on a throne either in front of or behind the monarch.
Bruce has fought five times against a monarch or the true masters who hide in the shadow of the king.
So far, it always ends in Bruce's victory, followed by the attainment of a new title, a new throne, a new domain, a reward equal to the effort, and the "making" of a ring to represent his newfound power.
Bruce is a scientist and a sorcerer, always on the lookout for new knowledge, his desire for wisdom in some respects greater and more frightening than his need for adrenaline.
Bruce doesn't just enter an unfamiliar laboratory and learn all its secrets, he wishes to put the knowledge he has gained into practice, sometimes with disastrous or grandiose results.
The worst happens when Bruce discovers scientific research with the potential to give him new abilities or an increase in power. Even if that quest is created by an evil mind.
In recent years, Bruce has been kidnapped by Sinister, Weapon X, HYDRA, Skrull, Kree, each of them wanting to use him as a laboratory guinea pig for their own agendas.
Bruce driven by curiosity and seeing the potential, instead of escaping at the first opportunity, pretended to be an obedient guinea pig. Once he got what he wanted, he'd flee like hell, leaving behind nothing but scorched earth.
"The three heavily guarded rooms are: The throne room, the library and the trophy room." Bruce lists the three most valuable rooms in the entire structure.
"Where do we go first?" Tails asks, not being able to guess where Bruce would go. It all depends on how he feels at the moment, a warrior craving a challenge or a seeker of knowledge.
"If there was someone to meet I would go to the throne room. But this station is abandoned, so let's go to the trophy room, we could learn a lot from one individual's collection." Bruce said, in a calm tone, clearly feeling more inclined to seek knowledge and find out who or what built the space station.
' Today is a good day, we have finalized the spacecraft, found a space station, Bruce is in a good mood, and we are going to visit an alien museum.' Tails thinks, feeling like he's having part of one of his best days yet.
The little fox is completely unaware that in less than thirteen minutes the day will take a turn more ... space horror.

Behind a huge metal gate, comparable to Adamantium in terms of strength, is a huge gallery divided into several levels.
The first level is built as a kind of museum, displaying weapons and advanced technology that have never been seen in this universe.
The rest of the levels are corridors filled with hundreds of sealed compartments.
At the entrance to the gallery, where in a human museum there would be a dinosaur skeleton, there is a gigantic "glass" cylinder which holds hundreds of Klyntars, commonly known as Symbiotes.
In the Klyntar prison, among the countless slumbering Symbiotes waiting for a host to join, there exists a particular specimen of their kind.
A Grendelkin, an ancient and primordial Symbiote Dragon.
This Klyntar begins to awaken from its long slumber, sensing the presence of a particularly strong host approaching.

Returning to the Burrow of Bunny.
Bunnyx transformed into her civilian form, falling unconscious to the floor, with a severe wound to her chest.
Woz smirked as he held the Miraculous Rabbit in his hands.
Having won this fight, Woz returns to his main task, telling the story of his Waga Maou.
Woz takes off his hood, revealing his black hair slicked back and gray eyes.
The gray-clad Prophet looks towards an invisible audience that only he is able to perceive and interact with.
"Greetings, dear readers, I am Woz, the scribe and chronicler of the greatest Demon King who ever lived." Woz said, proud of his position and his kingship.
"Sorry for the delay, I had to deal with a stubborn woman who can't accept change." Woz said, not glancing at the young woman who was bleeding to death.
A new book has appeared in Woz's hands, its cover decorated with engravings resembling gears and clocks, at the top is the title of the book:
The Shoggoth House - Paris: Kwamis, Symbiotes and Witches
"According to this book, Bruce Bahamut Belmont is about to get a valuable new companion, a Grendelkin." Woz said, with a growing smile, looking at a detailed picture of the book, showing Bruce breaking prison for the Klyntar.
Turning the page, Woz shows an image of hundreds of Klyntar wrapped around Bruce's body, creating a kind of meteorite that is hurtling towards Paris.
The crash will scatter the surviving Symbiotes throughout the city, creating a new breed of super-villain in the French capital, attracting worldwide attention.
"Ladybug and Chat Noir will have to cherish the peace while they can, because their lives are about to get particularly hectic." Woz said, starting to read the pages of the next chapter.
