Cat and Ladybug walked down the sidewalk, holding hands and eating ice cream. To Cat, there was nothing better, but he could feel the hair rising on the back of his neck. A sudden noise almost made him drop his cone. "Did you hear that, Bugaboo?" Ladybug licked her cone, unworried. "It was probably just the wind. I think you could use a nap, Kitty."

Cat glanced around. They were near a alleyway, and all sorts of things could leap out at you from there. Another rattle settled it. "Hold my cone," Cat said, handing his cone to her. "Oh, Cat," she told him, but Cat was already walking down into the alley. Cat Noir wouldn't call himself a scared y-cat, though Plagg had once or twice, but in the gloom of the shadows, he gulped nervously. "See anything?" Ladybug called, making him jump. Cat was just about to admit that she was right, when a stack of cardboard boxes crashed to the ground, a long black tail appeared. It was all to much for Cat. "Let's get out of here!"

"Hold on!" Ladybug said, grabbing his tail. "You want to get eaten?" Ladybug rolled her eyes. Then she saw the most adorable black ball of fluff trot towards her, trilling for attention. Cat was now on the ground, hand covering his eyes.

"Who's a good fur ball? You are just so cute!" Cat's ears twitched. Ah, his lady was finally seeing the light on how adorable he was. He straightened up, opening his eyes to see...Ladybug cuddled an actual cat to her chest, tickling it under the chin.

It was another black that scared him? Oh, how embarrassing! Maybe he was a wuss, and Plagg had very right to call him that. "How about we get you a big bowl of cream in a saucer?" Ladybug smothered the cat with kisses, and Cat felt a wave of jealously.

Here, he had been trying to win his lady's heart for years, and now this scrawny imposter was first in her heart? Oh, no. He wasn't going down without a fight, or a hiss.

"Cat, you'll frightened him." The cat slow-blinked at Cat, a look that said, "I'm adorable, bow down to me." Cat grumbled beneath his breath. Yeah, he do that when Hawkmoth became nice. "I see what going on," Ladybug smiled at Cat. "Your mad because I had to toss your ice cream to help this little guy."

What? Toss his ice cream? This day was quickly going from bad to worst. Ladybug stood up, placing the cat on his feet and beckoning to follow.

Cat glared at it, giving it the "I got my eye on you" look. The cat trotted ahead and meowed at Ladybug. "All right, I'll carry you."

The black cat looked back at Cat Noir with a smug expression on his face. "Don't worry, he'll come around."

Cat smiled at that. "Besides, so you two will be best friends, just like us." She stopped to turn to smile at Cat, her bluebell eyes sparkling with love and joy. Cat sighed, jealously deflating. "Let me carry him, Ladybug," Cat called, catching up with her. "I have tell him all about you."
