Sometimes Luka wondered how everyone in Paris made it through daily life. Another akumatized citizen caused distress, and another loud explosion disrupted peaceful harmony in their city of lights.

But one thing that made Luka's day interesting was being swept away by Ladybug to safety. She gave him an assuring smile and carried him safe in her arms. And Luka could finally breathe again when they stopped at a store room. At the very least, it was quiet, and he could collect his thoughts.

"Stay here so you can be safe Luka," Ladybug said.

Ladybug was about to head off, but Luka felt restless and followed her until she stopped and gave him a cheeky grin that seemed similar to how his mother got him to obey an order.

"I can't just stay here without Kitty Section, without Marinette," Luka said.

Ladybug sighed softly, but her smile didn't waver.

"I know Luka. You are the most loving people I have ever met. A real everyday superhero. And I will make sure everyone you care about is safe."

Ladybug placed her hands on his shoulders and sat him down, then wrapped her arms around Luka and held him close.

Luka was certainly stunned that Ladybug was holding him so tenderly. He would've told her he was already in love with Paris's most beautiful, talented, and bravest girl. But Luka couldn't help but relax at Ladybug's touch and listen to the superheroine's sweet nothings that made him wonder. This girl was shrouded in mystery, but he felt he was having deja vu with a girl with a beautiful smile and pigtails who was gently running her fingers through his blue hair. He almost felt disheartened when she let him go. One last time she told Luka to be safe and that she would return. But Luka stopped her one last time when he reached out.

"Be careful Ladybug," Luka said.

Ladybug looked absolutely touched, and Luka wondered why the greatest superhero in Paris was giving him such a warm look. She winked at him.

"I will Luka."

And Ladybug returned to the fray and closed the door so Luka could be safe in the quiet room. Since Luka couldn't think of anything else to do, he sat with his legs crossed and meditated.

It was one of the biggest mysteries of his life. There was the beautiful melody he was madly in love with: kind and strong-willed, and another girl with pigtails who seemed to admire him. This heroine was soft-spoken and reserved.

He meditated until sunlight came from the storeroom window, and he knew it was safe to go out again. The sunset was calming, and he knew Paris could rest again for now, thanks to Ladybug. But Luka also realized he wouldn't get any answers to his questions as the day was turning into night.

It didn't matter though. All that mattered now was finding Marinette. He was ok with a little mystery in his life.

When he returned to the streets of Paris, everyone rejoiced that Paris was safe and beautiful again. And once the sun sets, the stars will return like lights of hope. But Luka was busy rushing through the crowds to find Marinette.

Luka reached the lover's bridge when he was finally free from the noisy crowd. Marinette shined with the sunset behind her. It didn't take her too long to notice Luka had found her.

"Luka!"

Luka suddenly found more energy to run to her. Marinette happily ran to him and jumped into Luka's arms as he spun her around three times.

When Luka finally placed her down, Marinette giggled as she rested her head against Luka's chest.

"I'm so happy you are safe Luka," Marinette whispered.

Luka chuckled. "Well, I am, thanks to Ladybug."

Marinette gasped. "Gosh! Ladybug got to protect you, and I couldn't…."

Luka raised an eyebrow.

Marinette sighed. "It kind of makes me jealous…."

Luka shook his head and cupped her face with his hand.

"There is no need to be jealous Marinette. You are my only muse."

Marinette jokingly puffed her cheeks. "Good!"

And Marinette further asserted her dominance by sitting him down on the lover's bridge with her and holding him close.

"Because you're my only muse as well!" Marinette said.

Luka couldn't say no to Marinette as she held him tenderly and ran her fingers through his ocean-blue hair.

This all seemed so familiar again. But Luka didn't think much of it. It was just the two of them and the evening Paris ambiance as the night filled with stars.

After being surrounded by danger all day, they could finally find comfort in each other's embrace.
