Basically, this is the result of me telling my friends that in an ideal universe where Lukanette is endgame that Marinette should be the first one to say "I love you". And I know Luka technically said it first but what I meant is Marinette should say those special three words first. 😊

Basically, this was going to be my grand finale. I am sorry I didn't do the entire month...I may finish some of the unfinished one-shots in my files but right now we are in the middle of March and I am interested in working on other projects. Thank you for reading! 💙

"Luka, I need to tell you something," Marinette said.

"Hm?" Luka smiled down at her. He couldn't help but notice that Marinette looked ecstatic.

"You can tell me anything, Marinette," Luka said.

Marinette giggled as she placed her hand on her heart. "Yes, but this is important. I want to make sure to tell you first."

Luka raised an eyebrow. But it turned out that even his mother, sister, and Rose were in on whatever surprise Marinette had for him and told him to return to The Liberty at night. He didn't argue. It was an excuse for him to hang out with the guys. But Adrien, Nino, and Kim were also curious about what this surprise was when Luka brought it up.

And when Luka was alerted on his phone that the surprise was ready, Luka headed to the nearest dock and saw that The Liberty was decorated with twinkle lights. The gangplank was set down by Juleka and Rose, who giggled as they each grabbed Luka's arms and dragged him to the boat.

And the main deck was decorated with candles, flowers, and a round table. Luka was told to wait here and he smiled at how peaceful Paris was around him. Then he heard the familiar melody of the girl he adored. He turned to see Marinette wearing the most beautiful periwinkle dress.

"Hey, Luka…" She said as she was smiling and blushing.

For once in his life, Luka felt himself feeling flustered around Marinette. His breath caught in his throat, with Marinette looking like an absolute vision of beauty while illuminated by twinkle lights and candles.

"Marinette…"

Marinette took a deep breath and nodded in determination.

"Anyway, I bet you are wondering why I planned this…."

Luka smiled down at her, but Marinette turned around and placed her hand on her heart.

"I needed to tell you this," she said. "And I wanted to make sure I was the first to say it because you deserve to hear it."

She turned to him again. Her bluebell eyes sparkled as she took a step closer to him.

"I remember when you told me I was sincere as a melody and the music playing in your head since we first met." She blushed again as she held herself. "It made my own heart sing, so to speak…."

Luka grinned. "And you always will be Marinette…."

Marinette giggled. "Anyway. I never said anything in return. Not that I didn't accept your declaration. It was just that I was trying to understand my own feelings…."

She swallowed her nervousness and took his hand.

"All these feelings I have for you, Luka…."

Marinette breathed and gently stroked Luka's hand as he continued to stay silent to let her speak.

"I know I haven't been very decisive, but I know in my heart how I feel now. And I need to tell you this first because you deserve it because I…."

Marinette took a moment to look Luka in the eye, and he did a low gasp as a shiny tear rolled down Marinette's cheek.

"I love you, Luka…."

Luka couldn't help but gasp as he squeezed her hand. His heart beat quickly as a light blush appeared on his face. Marinette felt utterly embarrassed and wondered if what she said was too bold, but then her breath caught in her throat as he gently placed his hand on her arm like he did when he made that declaration of love months ago.

Marinette was stunned when Luka gave her such a loving look with his beautiful ocean eyes.

"Well, Marinette…"

The ocean breeze blew for them. Marinette shivered as Luka held her a bit closer.

"I love you too…." He whispered.

Marinette gasped as her face turned bright red. Luka giggled, and then when Marinette realized she wasn't dreaming, she sighed in relief and rested her head against Luka's chest as he held her close.

"I love you so much Marinette!" Luka said as Marinette cried some happy tears.

Marinette giggled. "Well, I loved you first!" She cried.

It was another realization. As crazy as Luka's friends thought Luka was for falling in love with Marinette at first sight. Marinette was the first to see him and felt that spark of love at first sight before the two met eyes for the first time.

Marinette felt her heart skip when Luka cupped her chin with his hand. It may have just been all the lights, but she could've sworn she saw stars in his eyes.

"Can I show you how much I love you?" Luka whispered.

Marinette blinked her eyes, and Luka could've sworn he saw them sparkle. The two of them were utterly hypnotized as they moved in to kiss each other's lips. Marinette felt so enlightened that she popped her leg as Luka held her closer to deepen the kiss slightly.

At a distance, Juleka and Rose silently rejoiced, exclaiming that they finally did it, and Anarka was there smiling proudly.

"My son found such a beautiful love…." Anarka said as she wiped a tear from her eye.

"Oh, may the Universe protect their love always…." Anarka cried.

Juleka placed her hand on her mom's shoulder. "It will! I know it will!" Juleka cried.

Rose grinned. "I am just happy Marinette found the courage to confess her love on her own. And that it's actual true love!"

Juleka tried to play it cool, but she was also crying a few happy tears as she placed her hand on her heart.

"I am so happy for my brother," she said.

When Marinette and Luka finally broke that kiss, the two of them couldn't be more content. Marinette rested her head against Luka's chest as he ran his fingers through her hair.

"I love you, Luka," Marinette whispered.

Luka made a low chuckle. "I love you too Marinette."
