Cat Noir wandered among the catnip, as happy as a cat can be. Well, what would make this perfect is if his lady was here, but she'd probably tell him he was being naughty. Cat creeped about slowly, as if stalking prey, tail high and wiggling.

Marinette on the way home from errands saw the wiggling tail and immediately sensed trouble with two ears and a bell around his neck. Well, it was kinda cute. But someone had to set the rules.

"Cat Noir, I can see you!" she called, trying to make her voice sound stern. The tail froze and stood rigid. It'd be fun to stalk about the catnip, but it looked like he'd been caught. Cat's head popped up to see Marinette not his lady standing on the sidewalk, and breathed a silent sigh of relief. "Hi, Princess. Um, what are you doing here?" "Oh, I don't know, walking home. And then I saw this tail stalking among the catnip which I'm pretty sure Ladybug doesn't want you doing."

"Oh, please don't tell Bugaboo! She'll be so mad!" Cat pleaded, eyes wide and he clasped his hand in front of him. To late, Kitty, she thought. "I'll let you off on one condition," she said. "What's that?" "You buy a smoothie and bouquet of flowers. After all, its the first warm spring day we've had all year!" "Consider it done, Princess. Er, one last pounce before we go?" Marinette rolled her eyes. "Fine. One last pounce."

With a excited meow Cat launched himself into the greenery. Marinette clapped her hand to her mouth as Cat emerged with vegetation on his head. "Let me get that for you," she said. "And let me take your bag." "Thanks. Mama and Papa asked me to do errands this morning. Otherwise I've been stuck at my sewing machine all week." Cat peered closely at her. "I thought sewing is what you love best." "I do, but this time of year is busy with the new spring fashions, Easter, Mother's Day….." "I see what you mean." Cat shifted the bag in his hands. "Let's drop this off at your parents and take ourselves on a proper stroll."

"I do wonder what you read at night," Marinette said. Dropping off the bag, Marinette was glad to have Cat all to herself. "Shall we?" he asked, as the bakery door swung shut behind him. He held out his arm, and Marinette looped her arm through his. "You know, even with your naughty tail, your my best friend." Cat noticed she squeezed his arm a bit tighter when she said that. "But you do have friends, right?" "Yes, but there's someone in particular I get really nervous and shy around. Do you Adrien Agreste?" Cat kept his emotions in check. "The model boy?" "Yeah, he's really sweet and kind and I really like a friend like that. I know he's super busy, but there's always Face Time right?" "I'm sure he wants to be friends with you too."

They walked around the corner, and Marinette drew her breath as an array of color hit her. The corner store, Sprouts and Stems was open and canisters of flowers sat in the sunshine. "It won't be easy, but I'll find you a flower I'm sure you'll like." "I'm going to say hi to Gloria, the owner. Let me know when your ready."

Cat wandered among the flowers thinking. He'd already been relaxed with Marinette, well, after the whole catnip thing, but there was that something about flowers that put you in a good mood.

The sun fell bright and warm on Cat's face. A splash of yellow caught his eye and he walked towards the sunflowers when he heard laughter coming from inside. Marinette was laughing at something Gloria said, and Cat couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was.

"Will these do?" Cat asked, stepping into the store. Marinette's bluebell eyes shone as Cat handed her the bouquet. "Its perfect, thank you!" "Don't forget, you owe me a smoothie!"

As Cat watched Marinette sip her smoothie he couldn't take his eyes off her. "What?" she asked, playing with her straw. "Your very beautiful, Marinette." Marinette blushed. "And your kinda cute, even when your naughty."

They stared at each other and burst out laughing. It was nice to spend this beautiful spring day with each other, not knowing they were both developing crushes on the other.
