"I wish the sun would stop playing peek-a-boo among the branches," Plagg grumbled to Tikki. "Why can't it make it up its mind?" Nikki giggled. "I know someone else who changes his mind all the time when it comes to cheese." Plagg opened one sleepy eye. "Cheese is serious business, Sugar Cube."

Tikki sighed as she stared up into the branches. It was cherry blossom season and even though it was cool and the sun kept darting in and out, the fresh sweet smell of blossoms was enough to make anyone happy.

Tikki heard a giggle from down below, and she nudged Plagg. "Plagg, look!" Marinette and Adrien giggled as they sat beneath the tree. Marinette held a cherry blossom aboveAdrien's head which was in her lap, and Cat batted it playfully. The ground was a soft pink carpet of blossoms and Nikki didn't know when she had seen her owner's face looking so radiant. "They look so happy. Isn't it romantic, Plagg?" "Blech," Plagg said, curling up on his branch, and shutting his eyes for a nap. Tikki shook her head at him, knowing on the inside, Plagg was a big softie but liked to hide it. Tikki peered through the trees wondering what the speck of red she was seeing. Unless…. "Plagg! Plagg!" she shook her friend vigorously. Plagg yawned, rolling onto his stomach and opened one green eye. "What is it, Sugar Cube? Can't you see I'm trying to nap here?" "But look, in the distance. It might be the first ladybug of the season and you know what that means!"

Whoever saw or found the first Ladybug of spring was awarded a cookie from Leo's. "Come on, let's go see!"

Tikki flew out of the tree, zooming towards the red dots, mouth watering. She could taste the cookie already! Suddenly, Plagg zoomed past her, causing Tikki to twirl in a circle. "Whoa! Plagg, I'm not a spinning top!" Getting her balance, Tikki followed Plagg who disappeared into the thick branches.

This tree was covered with blossoms which buzzed with bees, lapping up the nectar. Carefully, she maneuvered her way towards the red dots only to find….cherries? "Oh,Tikki said, her little antennas drooping in disappointment as she landed next to Plagg. "Sorry, T ikki." "Plagg!" she exclaimed. "I just had the best idea! We can collect a bucket of cherries and Papa can make a cherry pie!"

Plagg rubbed his small belly. He did love cheese, but Papa's pies made the sometimes grouchy Kwami smile with glee. "Mm, your on!"

They giggled as the picked cherry after cherry, dropping into the bucket with a satisfying plop! "I think that should be enough," Tikki told Plagg, dropping onto a branch to rest. "My, Am I thirsty," Plagg panted, settling down beside her. Plink! Plonk! Tikki smiled. "Looks like you got your wish! It looks like a small shower is passing through!"

Drinking their fill, Tikki and Plagg rested and breathed in the fresh smell of rain and grass mingled with the sweet blossoms. There was no better smell in the world, Tikki thought, expect maybe the smell of sweets.

"Tikki! Plagg! Did you collect all these cherries all by yourself?" The Kwami's flew down out of the tree to where their owners were holding hands. "We thought Papa could make a cherry pie!"

"That is such a sweet idea! Come on, let's get these to the bakery!" So, owners and Kwamis headed home, but just as they were leaving a small gust of wind blew a stray petal off one of the trees onto Tikki. "Do you want me to save it?" Marinette asked, gently taking the petal. "yes, please!" Tikki cried with joy.

Now she would always remember this special day where Plagg and Tikki hid among the cherry blossoms before gathering cherries for cherry pie.
