Marinette tried to interact with Adrien but was too clumsy to try and Adrien thought it was cute of her, without making fun of her. He finds her adorable.

"Um, hi there Adrien" She finally spoke to him.

"Hello there. What's your name?" Adrien asked.

"Marinette Dupain Cheng. I…..I've seen you in the magazine fashion" Marinette blushed.

"Ah, yeah my face is everywhere. It's a pleasure to meet you Marinette" Adrien said.

"Yeah same for you...I mean me" Marinette messed up her words.

Adrien laughed a little at her cute stammering.

"Urgh! I gotta go. See you later" Marinette felt embarrassed.

"Wait!" Adrien grabbed her hand, "I didn't mean to embarrass you, it's just….cute" He blushed.

"You mean it?" Marinette asked and sat next to him.

"Yeah, I don't mind, Marinette" Adrien said, "Believe me. I never had a friend except for my cat" He said.

"Aw, you got a cat?" Marinette was curious.

"Yeah, his name's Plagg" Adrien said, "He always cheers me up whenever I'm lonely. My mother would always find ways to reason with my father to make my life better. Modeling can be fun but it's just very lonely" He said.

"I see. I live above my parents' bakery and I love to do fashion designs, my latest being colored like a black ra- no cat, ladybug, a turtle, and a fowl, I mean Fox!" Marinette told about her interests.

"I see. I wish my father held a competition for it and you could win" Adrien said.

"I could try that one day," Marinette said.

The school bell rings and it was time to go home. Adrien's bodyguard is probably waiting outside to pick him up.

"My bodyguard's here. I'll see you soon Marinette" Adrien said to Marinette.

"Bye Adrien" Marinette waved.

As she was going doing the stairs, she did some funny ballerina moves but they weren't done properly and she often almost slipped, "Whoa whoa!" She regained balance and spins around dreamily, "So charming of him" She sighs dreamily.

"So you got to talk with him today?" Alya came behind her.

"Agh!" Marinette shrieked, "Uh, yes! Yes, I have!"

"Nice, he seems really kind," Alya said.

"When I look into his eyes, it makes me so…" Marinette couldn't find the exact words.

"In love?" Alya guessed.

"Yeah, I think I found the prince of my dreams," Marinette said.

"Slow down, girl. You may have a crush on him but you don't know what his life is like" Alya said.

"Perhaps I should learn more about it," Marinette said.

"The son of the fashion designer and actress," Alya said.

"Ah, yeah. This was his first day joining our school too" Marinette said.

"And making friends too. He must have been very lonely" Alya said.

"Yes. We better be sure he feels comfortable" Marinette said.

"Remember how many times Chloe always goes for new students?" Alya reminded her.

"A lot. But nobody likes her because she's rude" Marinette said.

"And teachers would always punish the innocents instead of punishing her" Alya scoffed.

"Just because she's the Mayor's daughter" Marinette agreed.

At the mansion, Adrien was having his strict diet dinner with his parents.

"So how did it go, sweetie?" Emilie asked her son.

"It went well, Mom. Met some new kids my age" Adrien replied.

"That's lovely, dear. Anyone, you find interesting?" Emilie asked.

"Well there was this friendly guy named Nino and a girl named Marinette," Adrien said.

"Hmm, interesting," Gabriel said.

"Marinette seems really sweet but she can be a bit clumsy" Adrien described Marinette.

"And this Nino?" Gabriel wondered.

"He's a really cool guy. He welcomed me into class" Adrien said.

"Honey, don't be rude," Emilie said to her husband being too strict.

"I'm just asking" Gabriel replied.

"He likes DJ music and Marinette is very cute," Adrien said.

"Aw, that's nice to hear," Emilie said.

Adrien can see his dead ancestors sitting at the dining table, "Yeah. I'm glad I get to socialize with people my age"

"That's good. As long as you keep your ability to talk to ghosts from them" Gabriel said.

"Father, I did no such thing today to them," Adrien said and can see that his ancestors look upset at Gabriel, "I can see our ancestors glaring at you, father"

"It's just for your safety, Adrien. So nobody sees you're abnormal" Gabriel said.

"I think I'm done now. Goodnight" Adrien excused himself since he lost his appetite now. He leaves the dining room and Emilie glared at Gabriel for being a bit too hard on their demigod son.

"Was that necessary?" Said Emilie.

"I am doing what's best for him," Gabriel said.

"You can't force him to be what he's not. Let him be himself" Emilie said.

"Yes, but I'm just concerned," Gabriel said.

In Adrien's room, he lay in bed thinking about his classmates.

"What a day, meeting new friends and starting school for real," Adrien said.

"Meow" Plagg licked his cheek.

"Hey there, Plagg. Missed me?" He petted his cat.

"Meow" Plagg rubbed his sides on his master's arm.

"Good boy" Adrien scratched him behind his ears.

Emilie walks into the room to see her lovely prince, "Adrien"

"Hi mom" Adrien sat up with Plagg on his lap.

"I'm sorry your father is being too hard on you" She sits next to him.

"I know he wants to protect me but I just wanna be true to myself. My powers are just a mystery to me" Adrien said.

"Adrien, there is something that you should know about," Emilie said.

"What's that?" Adrien said.

"Remember your favorite bedtime story about Hades and Persephone?" Emilie reminded him.

"Yeah, what about it?" Adrien wondered.

"That was just Greek mythology. Years ago, I was waiting for Gabriel to come home but Hades came from the fireplace and he took the form of my husband. We made love and I was pregnant with you" Emilie explained the story, "What I'm saying is that I'm your real mother but Gabriel is actually your stepfather. Your real father is Hades, the god of the underworld"

"So this means I'm…." Adrien gasped that he's not pure human like her.

"A demigod. That's why you can see ghosts" Emilie continued.

"So Hades is my real father?" Adrien gasped.

"Yes, he is. But you were raised as if you were your stepfather's own" Emilie said, "You were so special to me that I knew that day would come to wonder why you can talk to the dead while others cannot" She said.

"So that means I'm not crazy?" Adrien asked.

"You're perfectly sane, Adrien. So there's nothing to worry about" Emilie said.

"So father, my actual stepfather, is just my mortal father?" Adrien asked.

"Yes. He is" Emilie hugged her son.

Marinette was also having a talk with her father about where she got these powers from and why her parents don't have them like her.

"Marinette, what you're about to hear will shock you, so get ready," Tom said.

"Am I being sent to an asylum because of my powers?" Marinette's voice went high-pitched.

"No, no, Marinette. It's not that. Surely you know about Persephone from Greek myth?" Tom said.

"The famous goddess of Spring and the queen of the underworld. Everyone knows the myth story, papa. But what has this got to do with me?" Marinette asked.

"Marinette, you are her biological daughter" Tom held his daughter's shoulders.

"No, it can't be" Marinette refused to believe that.

"Please understand, my ladybug. Long ago when I married Sabine, Persephone took the form of her and…..well…..made love with me. She got pregnant with you and gave birth. She told me to raise you with my wife and wait for the right moment to tell you what you are when you're older. And so, the moment has come for you to realize that you are a demigod" Tom explained the story.

"A demigoddess?!" Marinette gasps in shock.

"Yes, but Sabine and I saw you as a gift from her. You're our perfect girl" Tom said.

"So you're my real father and Persephone is my real mother?" Marinette asked.

"Yes. That's why you got her powers" Tom replied.

"I always thought I was crazy with delusional minds, papa," Marinette said.

"But you're not. Sabine loves you like you were her own daughter" Tom said.

Marinette hugs her father, feeling happy that her family loves her for who she is.

In the underworld, Hades and Persephone saw everything through the crystal ball. Their demigod children now know what they are. It was now time to give them something important to hide their secret identity. Greek monsters will soon try to find them.

"We have to give them something suitable," Persephone said.

"Yeah, something that would symbolize creation and destruction. Like good and bad luck" Hades said.

"Darling, you're a genius!" Persephone smiled.

"What? What did I say?" Hades asked in confusion.

"Darling, what are the best two animals that symbolize good and bad luck?" Persephone knows the answer but her husband doesn't.

"And that is?" Hades wondered.

"Ladybugs represent good luck and black cats represent bad luck," Persephone said.

"Wow, that is a very good comparison, my love. I've seen my son having a pet cat" Hades said.

"And my daughter being called Ladybug by her mortal parents. I have an idea, darling" Persephone brings her husband to the room to do their god powers to create something.

"I'm listening" Hades agreed.

"Remember years ago you wanted to give your son a ring? Well, it's time now, darling. But it's gonna need to be more than just a ring. My daughter loves earrings and it's time that her real mother gave her something special" Persephone said.

"Yes. Let's do it" Hades created a black ring with a green paw logo on it while Persephone creates a pair of red earrings with black polka dots on them. They also made a metal pole and a yo-yo, each with similar themes to the ring and the earrings.

"Now, it is time for them to embrace their demigod side" Hades held the ring in his hand.

"Of course. They need to use their powers for good purposes" Persephone said.
