Me: This was originally going to be a part of last chapter, but I decided to shorten it.
Future Mikuru: Anonymousfanz doesn't own anything except for Tomi Yamato.
Me: You got it without stuttering this time.
Future Mikuru: You know me about as well as Tomi does.
Me: What's that supposed to mean?

There is to the mind-control effect Haruhi unknowing added to the commercials, pretty much every student who saw it is buying stuff from the sponsors. Even people who don't need anything from them are compelled to visit the stores.
People also started wearing their costumes in and out of class, and became more devoted to their projects. Probably because they didn't want Haruhi to do better than them. People also started making their own broadcasts, but none of them found sponsors. No one is THAT motovated by a comercial.
...
The next Saturday, we finally started filming. "Okay, is everybody ready? Then let's get going!" Haruhi ordered. While we were on the train to where ever we were going to start filming, Haruhi gave Mikuru a colored contact lense.
"What exactly are we filming a movie about?" Kyon asked. "Basically, it's about protecting earth from an evil alien. Mikuru is the good guy. The key lies in the fact that her eyes are different colors." Haruhi said. "How is that the key?" Kyon asked. "That's still a secret." It makes more sense later. Sort of.
...
"We're here." Haruhi took us to... "Huh, a shrine?" Kyon asked. "This is the closest site, so we'll start here." Haruhi said. "Change into your costume quick!" Haruhi instructed.
"H-Hey Haruhi, what about the script?" Kyon asked. "There isn't one. We wouldn't want it to get leaked." Haruhi explained. Fair enough. "Everything we need is in here." Haruhi said, pointing to her head. "You just need to do and act like I tell you to!" She knows what she's doing. "Get the camera ready!" I'm glad I don't have an important role. I can just sit back and relax.
Or at least, that's what I thought. "Tomi, I need you catch a cat." Haruhi gave me the simple task of finding a talking cat. "I'd like a black one if possible. One that fits the image of an evil witch's familiar. We'll use it for when Yuki shows up." I'm only bringing back a male calico cat. Because canon.
...
If Haruhi really wanted a Black cat, then I'd be looking at an army them. Theres so many cats here, and none of them are black. Because she could never truly accept a sterotypical black cat in her movie. Finding Shamisen among the other cats was pretty easy.
"It helps that she wants you to find it!" Michiko? "How did you know what I was thinking?" I asked. "Experience. A lot of the universes revolve around a story told in our universe. The plot tries to stay consistent whenever it can." Other universe insight. And in this case, Haruhi's wishes is the plot.
"Why are you here?" I asked. "I knew you'd probably be here. I wanted to talk about the other Slider." That guy. "What about him?" I asked. "I think he has something to do with Daichi vanishing." Maybe. "You could go to Haruhi. Get the SOS Brigade to investigate." I suggested. "That might be risky, but I couldn't find anything on my own." Michiko admitted.
"Can't be riskier than bringing back a calico cat when Haruhi specifically asked for a black one." Is that the future Mikuru? It is. "It's what she wants. She just doesn't know it yet." I replied. I swear, I know Haruhi better than she knows herself.
"It must be nice, knowing the future, and being able to change it." Mikuru said. Change it? "It's more like knowing what the future would be if we never came." Michiko replied. "Really?" I asked. She's the veteran here. "When we make changes to the future, we don't know how they make things different from what we know. Sometimes, we don't even know when we've changed something until it's too late." Michiko explained.
"I see. Your knowledge is limited to one future, where you did not exist." Mikuru simplified. I wonder if we did something to bring the other Slider here? Something we never noticed.
