Adrien raised his eyebrows as he heard Papa singing a marching tune. He was glad Papa was happy but sometimes got a little carried away. He sighed, he didn't want to ruin his fun. Oh, well, this bread was ready for the oven anyway.

Adrien carefully carried the heavy dough over to the oven where Tom was working at the workbench. "Need some help?" Tom asked, and Adrien nodded gratefully. A blast of heat came out of oven as Adrien slid the pan inside. The backroom was usually warm, but with spring just a few days in, it was still chilly.

"Could you check on Mama out front?" Adrien nodded, heading through the connecting door. But then he stopped and looked back as Papa started up his tune again. His mustache wiggled and Adrien had to work hard not to laugh, but turned a bright red color. "Something funny?" Tom asked, staring at him.

Oh, no. Adrien had forgotten how seriously Papa took his mustache for he said it made him look distinguished. "I'd better check on Mama, like you said." Adrien escaped to find Marinette setting out more trays of cookies in the display cases while Mama hummed quietly to herself as she refilled the tea and coffeepots.

Adrien beckoned quickly for Marinette and Mama to come over. "Papa isn't happy," he whispered quickly. "He thinks I'm making fun of his mustache." Marinette groaned and Mama giggled. Tom strode through the door, making a beeline for Adrien.

"So, now your all making fun of me. You'll understand the importance of a mustache when your older, Adrien." With that, Papa strode out the door.

"Do you think he's really angry?" Adrien asked, watching Papa head towards the park. "He'll be fine, honey. What happened anyway?" "His mustache was wiggling while he was singing. I just find it funny." Mama laughed. "I think we need to come up with a plan to help Papa not take mustache so seriously. Any ideas?"

"Mustache cookies!" Adrien cried. "We could make small cookies, and a big one for Papa!" "Great idea! If there's something Papa can't resist its cookies!" "Only one problem, Marinette," Sabine said. "We don't have a mustache cookie cutter." Adrien groaned, but Marinette snapped her fingers. "Leo!"

Leo of Leo's Cheese Shop held lots of fun things besides cheese, plus he was a great friend to Adrien and Marinette. "Love, Leo doesn't have a mustache!" "No, don't you see? Leo porbaly has a mustache shaped cookie cutter!" "Its worth a shot."

Leo laughed hard when Adrien told him the story. "Give me a few minutes and I'll see what I can do!"

Leo did find one, much to Adrien's delight and had them promise they'd let him know what happened.

Sabine already had some sugar cookie dough ready to go. "I'll help too! I can't wait to see the look on Papa's face!"

It didn't take long for the cookies to bake and cool, though Nikki wanted a bite. "Soon, little one," Marinette said. "Let's get these frosted. Your father will be home any minute!" Sabine passed around black icing bags.

"Quick, I can see Papa!" Marinette said, who was standing guard. Sabine set the cookie plate on the counter and she and Adrien hid the plate.

"I've had a nice walk to clear my head,

and now its back to making bread!" Papa sang, then stopped as he saw his family clustered around the counter. "What have you three been up to?" "We made you something," Adrien stepped forward with the plate. "Mustache cookies," Papa exclaimed. "Is the big one mine?" Adrien nodded. "I didn't mind to laugh earlier. It just struck me as funny." Tom's mustache twitched and he held up a cookie to Adrien. "I may have to been a little hard…." Tom started laughing and pointed one mustache that was a bit lopsided.

"I think I can see the humor now! Mustaches shouldn't be taken seriously after all!" Adrien sighed happily. Everything was back to normal, Papa was happy, and now they could eat these delicious mustache cookies.
