Once again, I gotta say some things before i continue this story.

Basically: if you don't ship Cluke (Luke x Clementine) do NOT read this story. I've already gotten a couple of reviews/PMs about it. I am going to continue this story, because I enjoy the ship. I quote "why is it always luke? Why not Gil, Duck, etc. its always luke because hes good looking" because i do not ship clem with them, simple as that. And i dont ship luke and clem just bc luke is hot. Im sure cluke shippers dont ship them bc luke is hot lmao

I may do some other fics including clem and another character, but for now, i want to write about luke and clem. If you do not enjoy that, please stop reading.

ALSO: THANKS SO MUCH FOR THOSE WHO GAVE ME CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM! MUCH APPRECIATED!

Anyway, onto the story! :) ~~~~

Clementine's POV.

I woke up to a few knocks on the door. I had almost forgotten I was in the small cabin in the woods..

I slowly got up and opened the door. I was greeted by Luke. "Oh, hey there." I lazily said and rubbed my eyes to wake myself up more. I heard a soft chuckle and I looked up at the man. "Well, it seems as if you got a nice sleep last night." I laughed and nodded, "Best I've had in a couple of weeks, if I'm honest."

"Well, anyway, I just wanted to let you know that Lee, Nick and Pete went out fishin'. It'd take a few hours for them to come back, Pete hates coming in empty-handed." I nodded when he told me this, I guess Lee's ankle was feeling better than last night.

"You can go wash your face in the bathroom," he signaled where the bathroom was and once again, I nodded. "Okay, thank you Luke." I saw him look away for a second. "I'll meet you in the kitchen in a bit." He messed with my hair a bit, and walked away.

I closed the door and started making the bed. After I was done, I tried to brush my hair with my fingers as a comb, and then tie them with two hair ties. I placed my hat on my head and exited the room to the bathroom.

As I was about to turn the water on from the sink, I heard Rebecca's voice. "Yeah, I'll be right back honey. Just need to wash my face." I knew something was up with this lady, so I hid in the closet behind me. Let's hope she doesn't need anything from here..

I hid just on time, as the footsteps were getting louder and the door opened, and was immediately shut. I could see Rebecca, her hands on her face. "Dammit.." I heard her say. "Just need to have this baby and… oh God." Is she nervous about her pregnancy? I mean, I guess that's natural-

"Let it be okay… and… and…. Let it be his." I covered my mouth. Shit, it's not his. I waited for her to leave, and I quietly exited the closet. "Damn.." I felt myself whisper. I quickly washed my face and left the bathroom.

I went to the kitchen, and Luke was waiting for me there. "Hey, you took long." I chuckled nervously, "Yeaaah, sorry about that. Stains in my face were hard to get rid of." I lied, but he nodded and handed me a banana. "Here, eat this. You're skin and bones." I shrugged, feeling a little embarrased by how my body was looking at the moment. He was right, every since the apocalypse happpened, I obviously lost a lot of weight. I took it and starting eating the banana, he left the room and I sat down on one of the chairs.

Suddenly, Rebecca entered the room. "Oh, you're still here." I swallowed the fruit I had in my mouth and stared at her. "I wouldn't get comfortable if I were you." she told me, as I was about to bite another piece off of the fruit. I looked over at her, she was washing her hands in the sink.

I am not going to let her get away with this. I crossed my arms and stared at her, before speaking. "So, who's baby is it?" She stopped what she was doing. "Excuse me?"

I turned my expression into a glare. "If it's not Alvin's, whose is it?" She approached me, her expression the same as mine. "You better keep your mouth shut." She whispered-yelled at me. I placed the fruit on the table and got up, in her face. "You should probably consider being nicer to me." I smiled fakely at her, grabbing my banana again. "Just my advice."

As I took a bite out of the fruit, she opened her mouth. "I knew you were going to be a fucking problem. You got what you came here for, now leave." She walked away from me and left the room. I smiled at myself, and finished the banana.

Luke came back a few moments after. "Hey, saw Rebecca lookin' pretty pissed after she left the kitchen. You two good?" I chuckled, "Yeah, just gave her a little advice." He nodded, "She'll warm up to you in no time, give her time." "Okay, sure."

We spent a few hours talking, mostly about our past, and stuff we liked doing, memories, stuff like that.

Out of nowhere, Lee entered the room from the backdoor. "Lee?!" "Dude, what happened to Nick and Pete?" Carlos and Rebecca came in. "We got attacked!" Lee replied, my heart beating faster. "What?! By who?" Carlos asked, worried.

"Walkers… Pete got killed. We found a couple of dead people, bullets through their heads." "Jesus.." Rebecca said, loudly. I widened my eyes. "Shit, okay, where's Nick?" Luke then asked. "He and I found a shed and hid there, I think he's still there, you need to hurry." "I know where that is, come on!" Luke said, holding onto his machete. Carlos got a few guns, "Rebecca, Luke and I will go, you two stay here. I need you to stay with Sarah and make sure she's alright, Clementine." "But, Carlos, last night-" "Forget about what I said, stay with Sarah, please! Don't let her know why we're gone, just.. Distract her! We'll be back in no time. Don't open the doors for anything!" and with that, they all left the house.

I immediately hugged Lee. "You're okay, right?" He nodded, "Yeah, sweet pea. Don't worry about me. Go watch Sarah." I nodded and went upstairs. I opened the door to her room. "Say CHEESE!" I was then blinded by the flash of.. Something. I saw Sarah take a picture, with an old camera. "I found this under the house. There's all kinds of old stuff!" She waited for a second before the picture went from black, to an actual picture of me. "It's so cool!" she handed me the picture.

I look so stressed, well, maybe it's just the pose that I did. I look scared as heck. "Take one of me!" Sarah excitedly said. She handed me the camera. "Sure.." Her father did tell me to distract her..

"Get me in a good pose, okay?" I chuckled a bit at her enthusiasm and held the camera on my face, setting the camera right to get a good angle. "Okay, I'm ready!" Sarah said through her teeth, as she was smiling at the camera. I took the picture as she smiled. I waited for the picture to turn from black, to an image. I smiled, but reality hit me when I realized Pete was dead.

Sarah noticed this, and she frowned. "What's wrong? Um, where's my dad?" I tried to look for an excuse.. Or should I tell her the truth? No, no, Carlos will kill me if I do. "They're… fishing." The hell? Where did that come from? I gave a very unconvincing smile. Sarah continued to frown. "I know that's not true." I tried to look for another excuse but.. Sarah turned around and started making strange noises. "You're my friend, right? We haven't talked much but.. You're the only girl in here close to my age.." I nodded, although she couldn't see me. "Yeah, I'm your friend." She sat down on the ground and hugged her knees. I felt bad for her.

I sat down in front of her, criss crossed. I gave her a warm, honest smile. She looked doubtful at first, but then gave me a smile.

"I know how to braid hair," I randomly said. "Can I braid yours?" Sarah's eyes immediately lit up, and I couldn't help but giggle. "Yes! Please!" I nodded and told her to turn her back facing me, and once she did, my fingers started their work. Her hair was a bit short, but I still managed to pull up a good braid. It pulled the hair out of her face, and she looked thinner.

"You look stunning, Sarah." I saw her cheeks get a bit pink, and I poked her cheek. "Thank you Clem, it means a lot."

After a few seconds, she asked. "You wanna see what I found?" I nodded, and she crawled to her bed and grabbed something from under her bed. I widened my eyes when I saw what she was holding.

"Can you teach me how to use it?" It was a gun. Shit, shit, shit. "I couldn't find any bullets." She shrugged, as if it was normal. "It...It's too dangerous." She gave a small pout. "Everything is dangerous.. I need to know sometime." I crossed my arms. "It's not my place to teach you this.. Perhaps ask your dad when he comes home." She ignored my comment, and started to aim at every direction, even me. I quickly dodged and crouched. "Don't do that!" Sarah immediately lowered the gun. "S...Sorry! Sorry!... Maybe I could practice outside?"

I sighed. Did she not know the meaning of 'no'?. "Sarah, your dad said to stay inside anyway." "There's that tree… Hey, Luke's back!" I smiled, "Cool, let's go see." I looked down at the window for a second and saw a shadow walk away, but towards the house.

As I was going down the stairs, I saw the shadow again. That doesn't look like Luke… "Lee?" I called out, in a way where only he could hear. "Clem, I saw. He's going over to the front door." I bit my lip nervously. I approached Sarah, "That's not Luke. Clem, I think I know him." Sarah had started to panic, her breathing getting unbalanced. "I.. I can't breath! I can't breathe!

Two rough knocks were heard. "He can't see me." I widened my eyes. "Sarah, go and hide!" Lee whispered. "We'll take it from here." Sarah nodded and quickly hid behind a couch. "Lee, I'll take it, pretend to be doing something!" Lee nodded, frowning and heading over to the kitchen.

I was approaching the door, and was going to lock the door when the man opened the door himself. "Hello there." His voice was raspy, and intimidating. "Hello." I replied, trying to look as casual as possible. "How are ya?" He asked me. I shrugged, "Doing alright. How about you?" My heart was racing, but I couldn't show that. "Well, I'm doin' just fine, thank you." I nodded. "My family set up a ways down river. I'm… kind of surprised we haven't ran into each other yet. What's your name?" Shit, do I tell the truth or lie? I noticed he was holding a gun…

"I'm Clementine. Who are you?" I answered. "Name's George." He suddenly stepped inside. "Do you mind? This is my property." I said, crossing my arms and looking at him. "I'm sorry, I just need a minute of your time." I eyed him suspiciously. "Okay, but you could at least ask, or wait for me to invite you in. Not sure if your parents taught you that." He looked back at me, and gave me a smile. It sent shivers down my spine.

He walked more, and looked around. "This is a nice place. Anyone else around?" I nodded. "My dad."

"Yeah, and what's his name?" He looked at me and I remained my expression neutral. "Lee." He kept smiling. "Strong name. I like him already. Where is he?" I shrugged, "Somewhere around here, I believe he's in the kitchen." I replied.

"Well, I'll cut to the chase. I'm looking for my people. Seven of them, to be exact. They've been gone a long while and… I'm worried they've gotten lost. Maybe you've seen them." He walked inside the living room and I followed. "Couple of farm boys," Luke and Nick.. "and an old man." Pete. "Spanish guy and his daughter. Younger than you, that's for sure." Carlos and Sarah. "A big black guy, about this big," he made his arms wider. Alvin. "and a pretty little pregnant lady." Rebecca.

"Gee, that's a lot of people to lose, man." I said. Lee then came in. "Oh, honey, you got a friend." He said, trying to sound casual. Lee extended his hand and 'George' shook his hand. "Lee, is it?" He asked and Lee nodded.

"He was just telling me he lost seven people. Two farm boys, 1 old guy, a Spanish guy and daughter, buff guy and pregnant woman." I told Lee, as if asking him if he knew them. "Haven't seen them, not many people are around." Lee said.

'George' sighed. "Yeah, I get it. This whole thing is a pain in the ass." The man looked around him, and entered the kitchen.

Lee and I looked at each other, and followed behind him. "So, you said you lived by a stream." I said, making conversation. "Yeah, we pitched camp in the sweet little stream. Quite nice." I nodded.

He looked at the sink, which was filled with dirty dishes. "A lot of dishes for only two people." Lee and I laughed, "Yeah, we never get around to actually wash them." George looked skeptical, but nodded.

George left the kitchen, and I could see Sarah leave the couch to hide somewhere else. I saw Lee widen his eyes.

"Well, this is real nice place. Quite cozy." Lee nodded. George then saw a glimpse of one of Carlos' shirts. Shit, fucking Carlos!

He picked up the shirt and he looked at both Lee and I. "I knew someone who would wear these everyday. He a doctor." Lee just shrugged. My heart was pouncing, could he just leave already?

"What was his name?" I blurted out. "Carlos." He replied, and continued to look at a board game. "White's in trouble." He commented, and we could see Sarah going up the stairs. "Y-Yeah, I always beat dad."

George was making some comments about the game, when there was a noise. "You heard that?" "Heard what?" I pretended.

He walked a bit around the living room and stopped when he heard a door creak. He stared at me, "I thought you said nobody was here." I crossed my arms and glared at him. "Did I really?" He then took his gun out and I froze. He started heading up the stairs.

"Hey, man! There's really no use of the! Nobody ain't there!" Lee was saying as he followed George. "I'll see about that." I heard the strange man mutter as he opened the door that had made the creak sound.

Silence filled the atmosphere and I wondered where Sarah was hiding until I saw a glimpse of her under the bed. Great place to hide. I thought sarcastically. I stepped up when the bearded man stopped looking. "Can you stop snooping around my property now?" I asked, quite rudely. Lee squeezed my shoulder a bit, as if to tell me to take it easy.

"I didn't mean to be rude. I guess I'm desperate in finding my group members." He turned to face me, with a smile. "And I also couldn't leave such a cute young lady like you here so easily, either." I was about to say something, but Lee stepped up. "Thanks for stopping by, but I need you to leave."

The man laughed, as if it was the funniest thing in the world. "You people don't have a clue on who they are." I frowned at his statement. "We don't know what you're talking about."

"How much did they trust you, huh?" Lee grabbed the man's shoulder, and gave him a fake smile. "We'll let you know if we saw your friends. Have a good day now." George gave another smile, before he exited the room, and soon enough, the cabin.

Sarah came out of under the bed, and wiped her eyes. I immediately hugged her. "Hey, you alright?" She shook her head, and all I could do was comfort her.

"They need to hurry the hell up," Lee said some behind me, referring to the group. "This could be the man they've been yapping about non-stop. We need to be on the move." I nodded at him. "Yeah, it ain't safe here."

Lee had all the curtains covering the windows in all rooms, as he didn't want to feel spied on.

It felt like an eternity when the group finally came back, with Nick. Lee gave Nick a hug. I was confused but decided not to say anything about it.

"Dad! That bad man… he was here!" Sarah shyly said, looking down. Carlos widened his eyes. "What the hell?! Why would you open the door for him!" "Who let him in?" "Did he see Sarah?"

I couldn't focus on one of them, they all kept talking at once.

"ENOUGH!" I shouted, making everybody quiet, even Lee. "He came in anyways, I didn't open the door. Some idiot forgot to lock the door, I don't know who but he almost saw Sarah!" Carlos widened his eyes and went over to Sarah, and gave her a hug.

"We can't stay here." Luke said, crossing his arms. "Was it really Carver, though? It might have been someone else." Alvin suggested, and Rebecca shook her head. "Did he say his name? What did he look like?"

Lee had a hand over his hip. "He said his name was George. He's white, mustache , really raspy voice.. made me almost shit my pants." That earned a chuckle from Nick. "It's definitely Carver, we have to leave. We were lucky, if Lee and Clementine hadn't been there…" Carlos said, looking at his daughter. "Alright, ya heard the man, go pack up, we leave soon." Luke then said, not wanting Carlos to continue speaking.

Everyone left to go pack, but I stayed behind to get some time for myself. Have I really just involved Lee and I into all of this? I thought, and I felt a tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes and saw Luke. "Oh, hey." He smiled at me with his warm smile.

"You feeling alright?" I nodded my head and sighed. "Yeah, thanks for asking. Just a bit… stressed." He nodded at me and ran a hand through his brown hair. "Understandable."

After a couple of seconds I spoke up and he did as well. "You need help packing up-" "You wanna help me pack up-". We both stopped our sentences and laughed simultaneously, our faces blushing.

After a while, our laughter died down and we started packing. Food, pillows, medicine, anything that could fit in our bags.

After the place was almost picked clean, we headed out.

It's been hours since we left the cabin, and my legs were burning. But I couldn't slow down the group…

As I was walking and concentrating on something to distract my brain, Rebecca approached me and walked beside me. "Hey, Clem.." she was calling me Clem now? "Forgive me for giving you a shit ton of trouble back there.. being pregnant is no fun in a world like this." I considered what to say, but figured it'd be best to let everything slide. "It's okay, I understand. Sorry if I caused you some shit back there, too." She smiled at me, so I smiled back.

"I need to work on my attitude, patience, lots of things. I'm supposed to be a mother, not too long now." Rebecca told me, and I looked at her with pity. "I'm sure you'll be a great mother." She smiled at me. "Thank you, darling."

"You know, Alvin and I still don't know what to call her, or him. You have any ideas?" I thought about it, and many names came up in my head. Kenny, Duck, Katjaa, Carley.. etc. "Um," I started out. "If it's a boy, how about 'Omid'?" I suggested, my heart sinking a bit, remembering how he wanted his baby to be called Omid. Rebecca seemed to think about it, "I like the sound of it. I'll tell Alvin in a bit. Any ideas for a girl name?" I started thinking again. "How about Carley?" Rebecca's eyes lit up. "That's a precious name. Thank you, Clementine I'll be back in a bit." I nodded at her, and saw her go next to Alvin, and enthusiastically tell him the ideas.

Afterwards, we continued to walk. I then noticed Nick was walking too slow. I decided to wait until he walked up at me. When he did, I started walking next to him. "Hey, Nick.." He didn't look at me, or said anything. "I'm really sorry about Pete." He sighed and sniffled. He stopped walking, so I did as well. I gave him a big hug. "I understand how you feel. I lost my parents.." I felt him staining my shirt with tears, but I didn't stop him. I noticed the group had stopped walking, and were looking at us.

"Come on, let's continue walking. I'm sure Pete wouldn't want you all the way behind." I commented, he nodded and I started walking alongside him. The rest of the group started walking as well.

I saw Luke take out a map and speak up. "Seems like it'll take us about four or five days to reach the mountains, now if they're trackin' us, we should be able to lose 'em on the way there." I sighed, that's a long walk.

"Five days?" I heard Rebecca ask, her expression seeming worried. "It's gonna be okay, Bec." Alvin reassured her, and I walked next to Rebecca, just in case, or to just keep her company.

Carlos was ahead, almost next to Luke. "We have to keep moving, we don't have a choice, unless you all want to head back to Carver." Silence filled the air. "Thought so."

I saw Lee walk up to Nick, and talk to him. I couldn't quite make up the words, but it was nice that Lee was helping Nick.

Nick started walking at a normal pace after Lee, I smiled at him, and he smiled back.

Third person POV.

Night set in, and the group had to set up camp. "Alright, I'll take first watch." Luke said, after all the tents were placed on the grounds. Nobody had a problem with him taking first watch, so they all nodded their heads.

Rebecca and Alvin shared a tent, the pregnant woman almost instantly falling asleep. Carlos and Sarah shared one as well, the girl not wanting to be away from her parent. Nick was alone in his tent, as he was supposed to share with Luke. The last tent was for Lee and Clementine.

The area they were in seemed awfully quiet, and Luke wasn't sure what to make of that. He was thankful there no walkers to deal with, but this meant being extra precautious.

A few hours had seemed to pass and Clementine couldn't sleep. She kept moving around, trying to find a comfortable spot in her tent with Lee, but to no vail. She sighed in defeat, knowing she wouldn't get any sleep tonight. The almost nineteen year old exited her tent, and stared at the black night.

She felt relaxed, she felt like she could accomplish anything when she felt this peaceful. "Can't sleep?" She almost yelped, only to realize it was only Luke. She calmed herself and placed her hand over her chest, where her heart was.

"Jesus Christ, you scared the shit out of me." Clementine whispered-yelled, taking a seat next to him. "Hehe, sorry 'bout that." The girl shrugged, "It's okay. I can take watch, if you want. Not like I can sleep anyway." Luke stared at her and Clementine couldn't help but feel hot headed. "You're really pretty, ya know?" He randomly said, his breath somehow smelled like alcohol. Clementine waved her hand around the space between them, getting rid of the smell in the air.

"Did you seriously drink, right now?" Clementine asked, pinching her nose. "Don't worry, I don't over drink like Nick. I only took a few sips. Couldn't find my water, so I turned to the second option." Clementine couldn't help but giggle, "Okay then. What was the third option?"

The brown haired man seemed to put some thought into her question. "My piss." They both held their laughter in, as they didn't want to wake up anybody. "Gee, and to think I wanted to kiss you." Clementine blurted out, and immediately covered her mouth. Luke turned to face her, "It's okay, I'm a natural Casanova." The girl pushed his shoulder a bit. "Whatever."

"So, about the kiss.." Luke started, but the girl cut him off. "Maybe some other day," She started saying. "When you aren't half drunk." Luke chuckled and nodded, feeling his cheeks rise up in temperature.

Out of nowhere, Luke spoke up. "I miss home." Clementine looked over at him with sympathy. Her heart just felt like it was punched. "I'm sure you do, I'm sure everyone misses home." The girl said, looking down.

"Clementine, honey, dinner's ready!" She heard her mother call her from the window. "Coming, mom!" The young girl waved bye to her friends, and rushed home. The smell of homemade food filled her nose, and her mouth watered in anticipation.

Her parents sat down on their dining room, and began eating. Her mother looked at the dark browned haired girl. "Oh geez, look at your hair!" The girl laughed alongside her father.

"It's getting too long, perhaps we can cut it down to your shoulders?" Her mother suggested. "Yeah, okay! All my friends are getting haircuts, too." Her parents chuckled and continued eating.

"We have a surprise." Her father blurted out. "Ed! I said we'd tell her after dinner." The man shrugged, "Sorry, it slipped." The young girl looked at her parents, waiting for one of them to tell her the surprise.

"We're going to Savannah in a few days, but unfortunately you have to stay." Her father said, scratching his neck in guilt. " Oh." The girl whispered. "That's okay. I can take care of myself-"

"Which also means that you'll get a babysitter." The young girl frowned. "What? No! I'm thirteen! Dad! Tell mom something!" Her father sighed. "I'm sorry honey it just has to be done. But hey, we'll bring a bunch of souvenirs, okay?"

The girl let out a big sigh in defeat. "Okay, fine. It is Sandra again?" Her mom nodded. "Yes. She's quite nice, isn't she?" Clementine nodded, "Yeah, she is. She bought me ice cream last week, like, the three scoops one instead of two." Her parents laughed.

"She's too nice sometimes. Can't complain though. Also, honey, absolutely no sneaking away to your friends', okay? You don't wanna give us or Sandra a heart attack." The girl nodded, "Yeah, okay. I promise."

After dinner, it was already night time, so Clementine joined her parents in the living room. They were watching some sort of comedy show. Clementine loved times like these, times in where she felt like she belonged and where she was loved.

"Clem? Come on, ain't time to be daydreaming." Clementine snapped out of the memory she was reliving, and turned to face Luke. "Or is it night dreaming? Since it's night." The nineteen year old looked confused and lifted her eyebrows at him.

"What are you babbling about in there?" She asked, chuckling. "Oh, nothin'. I'm pretty tired though. You're pretty." Clementine shook her head at him, a smile plastered on her face. She took off her hat and touched her head.

"Let's sleep together." Luke then said, which caused Clementine to look shocked and blush. "You're so drunk, Luke. Just go sleep, I'll take watch." He scratched the back of his neck. "Okay. You better join me later, 'kay?" The young adult just nodded so he could shut up.

After he had entered his tent with Nick, silence surrounded Clementine. She missed how things were back then, she missed her parents, she missed her friends, she missed home.

Clementine leaned against a tree, and sighed. She looked down at the gun she had brought with her. When will this stop?

She hugged herself, feeling the cold air make contact with some of her skin. She winced when she did this, as she still had to recover from her stitched arm. "Shit.." she whispered, as some blood had started to come out of her wound. She pressed on her wound, and shut her lips to prevent any yells.

Clementine has stayed up all night, her shirt almost soaked with blood, from the past and from the present.

"Clementine! Go get some sleep, I'll cover you." Lee said, once he woke up. The others were still sleeping. It seemed to be around dawn..

The girl yawned and nodded, and got into her tent. She passed out almost immediately.

I know this story follows up with a lot in the game, but that will change soon. I liked the beginning of the game and whatnot, so i kinda kept it the same. Stuff changes after this though. This is like, 5k words _ oops got carried away. I hope you are enjoying this, and review, really inspires me! Much
