Disclaimer: I do not own any Harry Potter anything
The cheery noises of students getting ready to go home for Christmas break were about. The busy rustling, the happy music throughout the halls. The four friends were all getting ready to embark on the journey home; they were all invited to spend Christmas with the Potter/Weasley family including all of their families. Apparently the Potter/Weasley clan's grandmother insisted that they all come out for the holidays according to Jordan's mothers letter.
None of the four were going to complain, they all enjoyed to be around each other and it gave them the chance to all be together for the holidays as well.
"So you're telling me that I am going to meet your dad, Harry bloody Potter?!" Jordan could hear Christian yelling at Albus from downstairs when they were in the dormitory still packing. He heard the door open and the sound of Albus's voice ring out.
"Yes for the hundredth time Krash, yes. You will meet my father. He might even take us flying for a bit." Albus told him very unamused about the whole conversation.
"HE IS GONNA DO WH-" Christian was swiftly cut off by a hand covering his mouth and a wand at his throat.
"Yell one more time. I dare you." Rose told him as she gave him the "Look of Fury" as they now called it after they saw her try to hex Christian into oblivion after he spilt his pudding on her.
"Well? Are you going too?" She asked again as he just shook his head no, as she released him. "Good, now we should get going before we miss the tra-"
"TRAIN! I SAID IT FIRST! I WIN! NO BLOODY WAY WE ARE GOING TO SEE HARRY POTTER AND POSSIBLY RIDE BROOMS WITH HIM!" Christian yelled in one big breath as he then took off out the portrait laughing as Rose angrily took after him yelling at him.
Jordan and Albus both started laughing at them as they started walking out the portrait as well, "Wait! We got to wait for Hailey still!" Jordan stopped them before Albus gave him a confusing look.
"Hailey isn't coming with us remember? She told us she was just going to stay at the castle." Albus reminded him.
"Well we can't just leave her on her own. Not for Christmas." Jordan told him as he walked up to the stairs and stood by the dormitory door. "Hails? Are you there?" He asked as he knocked on the door.
It was silent for a few seconds before her soft voiced answered, "Yeah. I'm here."
"Why don't you come with us? It'll be fun." He asked as he leaned against the door.
"No. It's okay. You guys go on without me. I'll be just fine here. You guys better hurry before you guys miss the train." She told him as he sighed and admitted defeat.
"Okay…Well goodbye Hails. Happy Christmas."
"Happy Christmas too you too."
Jordan walked down the stairs and out the portrait with Albus. "Is it not weird that she doesn't want to come?" Jordan asked Albus as they walked down the staircase.
"A little bit but who knows why." Albus shrugged his shoulders a bit and kept walking as they arrived with all the other students in front of the Great Hall to be taken to the train.
Hailey sat in her common room alone, there wasn't anyone else in there as they were all going to go home for the holidays. She could have went to the Potter/Weasley family Christmas but she felt like she would be intruding way too much. Her parents were off on a work importance in the ministry so she couldn't even go home. She decided that just staying at the castle and doing some work over the holidays would make up for it. She was reading her charms book when she heard a knock at her door.
"Hails? You still here?" The voice said from the other side. Hailey looked confused, it sounded like Jordan but he should be gone by now.
She walked over to the door, opening it to see who was on the other side. It was Jordan, standing there with a smile on his face. "What are you doing here?! You are supposed to be on the train to go see your family! Why are you still here!" She fired off questions surprised that her friend was still her and he must have missed his train.
"I didn't think it was right to leave you here all by yourself. So I stayed back. Instead of getting on the train, I owled my mum and told her that I was going to stay. She and my brother are already at the Potters so they won't be all alone for Christmas and I am positive she will understand. Everyone else wanted to stay too but they all couldn't stay. Plus with the talk about their Grandma Molly's cooking, I don't think Christian was going to pass that up."
Before Hailey could even think of what she was doing she had her arms wrapped tightly around him and her eyes were starting to tear up. "Thank you, so much." She muffled into his shoulder as he slowly brought his arms around her and hugged her back.
She broke apart from the hug with a smile, "Lets go down to the Great Hall and get some food shall we?" Jordan told her as he started walking down the stairs as Hailey swiftly followed.
The annual Potter/Weasley Christmas was now hosted at the Potter Mansion since the Burrow was just a tad too small for all the families to fit into. They now had the Potters: Harry, Ginny, Teddy, James, Albus and Lily. Then they had the Weasley/Graingers: Ron, Hermione, Rose and Hugo. Then also the Johnson/Weasley: George, Angelina, Freddie and Roxanne. Then the Delacour/Weasley: Bill, Fleur, Victoire, Dominique and Louis. Percy and his wife Audrey with their two kids Molly and Lucy would be there but they went to Romania to visit Charlie for Christmas this year. Molly and Arthur were also in attendance along with the Kardash family, Clay, Crystal, Christian and Desiree. The Sim family was also there as the families insisted that they come to even though Jordan would not be coming home anymore they still wanted them to be a part of the family as well.
Later that evening Albus, Rose and Christian were talking to the adults about what they had seen in the strange passageway.
"The beast rises once more? What could that mean? It couldn't be the Basilisk again could it Harry?" Hermione started pacing around as she looked at her long time friend.
"No it couldn't be. It's dead, we saw its skull remember?" Ron answered for her.
"Plus if it was the Basilisk then Josh would have been paralyzed or dead not bleeding out." Ginny pointed out as she watched Hermione pace nervously.
"Does any of that passage sound familiar to you George?" Harry spoke up looking at one of his brother in laws. George paused for a minute trying to think on it.
"No. Fred and I had that memorized and the way they are describing that passage, that was never on the map. The marauders must never even seen this place to mark it on the map. Just like the Chamber."
"Your right. Well it's best we leave it at that. I'll talk to the ministry after the holidays and see what they know about this mystery." Harry told them as everyone else nodded their heads in agreement.
"You should all just forget about what you saw while we look into what this 'creature' could be. Do not go looking for this. Do you understand?" Harry said sternly as the kids all shook their heads silently as Harry then put a smile on his face. "Good, now all of you off to bed, big day tomorrow."
The children said their goodnights to everyone as they wondered off to bed as the adults went back to talking about the mysterious creature.
"What could Hogwarts be holding captive now? Sleeping for years?" Ron asked as everyone was starting to think of all the things they have encountered in their years.
"They said he was burnt, but bleeding like he had been bitten. It couldn't be a dragon because it would have burned him completely." Hermione told everyone as she was flipping through pages of the book she was reading.
"I don't know what kind of creatures you all have in this world but all I know is anything is possible. Is there a chance it could be a Chimera?" Matt had spoken up for the first time and everyone looked at him, no one really knew what to say.
"Chimera's have gone extinct long ago, even if they were still alive why would it be in Hogwarts. They are of Greek heritage." Hermione pointed out as Matt nodded his head like he knew what she was talking about.
"Well hold on a minute Hermione, the man could be right. Burned and bitten. A beast that rises again. The Basilisk was supposed to be long gone, wasn't even suppose to exist but it was in there since the founders had found the school. They transported creatures all over the world for the Tri-Wizard tournament. It is a possibility." Ron pointed out before getting a slight look from his wife for proving her wrong.
"Well either way, we have to be careful. We don't need our 11-year-old children finding out about this and seeking it out. We can't let them find out." Hermione sternly said as everyone nodded in agreement.
Little did they know some little ears were listening behind the doors.
Alright guys, its been a long time. I feel bad but I am back on track now. I hope this chapter makes everything a little more interesting for you all. Now I was wondering if someone out there could do some drawings of my characters for me. If you are interested, give me a PM and we can talk about details and everything. Thank you so much for reading!
