"JORDAN GET DOWN HERE QUICK! HURRY!" The sound of Hailey yelling awoke him from his deep slumber in the boys dormitory. He quickly rushed out of bed and ran out down the stairs and into the common room. He arrived to see a bunch of presents underneath a tiny tree in and Hailey beaming up at him. "Happy Christmas Jordan!" She spoke excitedly as she gave him a big hug.
"Happy Christmas Hails." He grinned as he returned the hug. "Are all these presents for us?"
"Yep! Even Albus' and Rose's Grandma sent us a present each!" She replied practically bouncing up and down on here feet. "Let's open them!"
They were both smiling and laughing as they ripped through the wrapping paper to find out what they had gotten. They were both a little sad on the inside knowing they couldn't spend the big day with their families but they were happy they got to spend it with some friends. Hailey was very thankful that Jordan had decided to stay behind with her and he was also thankful he decided on this so he knew his friend wasn't all alone.
They had both received what Albus and Rose told them about was their very own Christmas jumped courtesy of Grandma Weasley. They both put them on knowing they would have to get a picture of them wearing them to send to their friends Grandma so she knew they loved her present. Both Jordan and Hailey also got a bunch of candy from Albus and Rose while Christian had given them a box that said IOU on it. They were pleased with the candy and laughed at their friends custom made box that he tried his best on. After all he was only 11, they couldn't be mad at their friend for not being able to get them something. Hailey opened up her gift from Jordan, smiling and then hugging him. "Thank you so much! I love it!" It was a picture of the five of them hanging out in the courtyard, they had asked Taylor Mitchell to take the picture of them as she was playing with her camera that day. They all were so happy without a care in the world for them. "Here! Now open mine!" She smiled as she handed him a small box.
Jordan opened it and it was a replica of a golden snitch. It would fly around in front of him, he would catch it and then it would restart. Only starting from the touch of him and stopping if he was the one who caught it. "Wow. Thank you Hailey! I have never seen anything like this before!" He smiled as he released it and caught it, doing this several times.
"I saw the way you were watching the Quidditch game before Christmas. I knew you were starting to fall in love with the game." She grinned as he hugged her. They broke apart and started to clean up the mess of wrapping paper they had made only for it to turn into a war as Jordan had balled his up and throwing it at her. She answered with one of her own. The sound of their laughter filled the common room as they had a blast throwing the balls at each other.
They quit as they were both beginning to tire themselves out, laughing as they sat there. "You know it may suck that I didn't get to spend Christmas with my family for the first time ever but I am really glad you're here. It would have been very lonely if I was here by myself." Hailey told him with an appreciative smile. "You have no idea how much that means to me. Seriously. You are my best friend." She looked like she was about to cry as Jordan walked over to her and wrapped her in a warm hug.
"I'm glad I got to spend it with you too. But come on, the day isn't over yet. We have this whole entire castle to explore. There is almost nobody here. We have all the freedom! Let's go have some fun." He smiled as he broke away from the hug and pulled her up with him. Taking her by the hand and leading her out the portrait.
The day entirely consisted of them eating food in the Great Hall, having Christmas tea with Hagrid, playing in the snow, building snowmen and having a snowball fight between the two of them. By the end of the day they had both forgotten that it was Christmas and they weren't with their families. They were both happy as could be on a holiday that was meant to be spent with family. They had hoped their friends were having as much fun as well. With Christian being star strucked by Albus' father they could only imagine what kind of things they would get into. They both were lying on the couches in the common room, the fire crackling in front of them. "Thank you again Jordan." Hailey had spoken first, Jordan opened up one eye and rolled over to look at her.
"I told you before this is what friend's do. I would never want you to be sad. I will always be here for you. I promise." Jordan told her with a smile which she returned with a smile of her own.
"I'm glad you made it to Hogwarts, that we were put into the same house. I don't know what I would do without you." She told him looking up at the roof.
"Well you guys probably would have killed Krash by now." He spoke with a laugh.
"Rose would be so bored without him. Who else would she lecture all the time?"
"I do not know. Probably you. Maybe poor Albus. Do you think she will have brought both of them back unharmed?"
"I bet you that Krash comes back with at least one story of how Rose almost killed him."
"I bet you that Rose comes back with at least one story of how she never wants to be alone with him again." They both were laughing at this point. Just talking about nonsense things enjoying being young kids. There was a nice silence for awhile before Hailey broke it again.
"Do you think there really is a monster somewhere in the school that is capable of hurting us all?" She asked her voice cracked a bit with a sense of fear.
"I don't really know Hails. I want to say no but what we saw shows us something else. But you shouldn't have to worry about any of that." Jordan answered her as he rolled over on the couch so his back was facing her, closing his eyes.
"Why's that?"
"Because silly. If you didn't know, I'm you're guardian angel and I'm here to keep you safe forever." He spoke softly as he was slowly drifting to sleep. Hailey smiled at the boy falling asleep.
"Thank you." She spoke again hearing the soft snore from the sleeping boy on the couch before she closed her eyes and let her own body fall asleep.
Well hey people. For the people who have followed this story I want to thank you for your commitment. I had seem to have lost my writing spirit for almost two years, I lost the magic as some would say. I had a lot of real life things going on but one day I came back onto my old laptop and saw all of the ideas I had. Year one to seven were all planned out. I was inspired by the past me to continue his much needed work. At this time now, I am just writing for me. I am going to do all seven years for me, I don't care about how many people hate the story but past me deserves to see this through. To the people who are just reading this for the first time, thank you for reading! It's your lucky time if you enjoyed it and seeing that I am continuing it. But like i said earlier, now I am just doing this for me.
Anyway yes this chapter is short. It was always going to be. It is just supposed to be a filler chapter, a little happy chapter to see what our other two heroes did for Christmas while the others were back home. Anyway I want to make it clear that I am not british. So if I use the word bathroom instead of loo or sweater instead of jumper I am sorry, it's only the way I have been raised to write for 19 years. I will be hopefully having the next chapter up soon.
Au Revoir
