Ladybug and The Notebook
Lumiere made his way to school, his heart beating with nervous excitement as he prepared to meet his fellow classmates. As he stepped into the classroom, the teacher stood up to introduce him, saying, "This is Lumiere Dubois Nakamura, our new student. His family moved from Japan recently.""Hi Lumiere," the other students greeted him, their voices friendly and welcoming.
Lumiere's eyes scanned the room, finally coming to rest on Marinette, who sat just a few seats away from him. He leaned over and whispered, "What's your name?"."Oh... I'm Marinette," she replied.
Lumiere was about to continue the conversation when the teacher interrupted him. "Okay, students, today we are going to talk about a controversial topic: the Death Penalty."
The class fell silent as the teacher posed the question, "Who here is in favor of the death penalty?" Lumiere was the only one to raise his hand, his expression unwavering as he looked around the room.
Marinette, Adrien, Chloe, and Alya exchanged glances, their expressions ranging from confusion to disgust. The teacher motioned for Lumiere to speak, curious to hear his perspective on such a divisive topic.
"Well, I believe that the death penalty is necessary to maintain order in society," Lumiere said, his voice calm and measured. "It serves to avoid criminals from doing bad things and ensures that justice is served to those who commit horrible crimes."
"But what about the possibility of executing an innocent person?" Alya interjected, her tone sharp with disbelief. "How can we justify taking someone's life if there's even a chance that they might be innocent?"
Lumiere's brow furrowed, considering Alya's argument carefully. "Of course, that's a valid concern," he replied. "But the justice system is designed to prevent such occurrences from happening. With proper due process and investigation, the chances of an innocent person being wrongly convicted and executed are minimal."
Marinette, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. "But what about the moral implications of taking someone's life?" she asked, her voice tinged with emotion. "No one has the right to decide whether or not another person lives or dies."
Lumiere nodded thoughtfully. "I understand where you're coming from, Marinette," he said. "But what about the rights of the victims and their families? Shouldn't they have justice and closure for the crimes committed against them?"
Chloe, who had been impatiently tapping her foot, couldn't hold back any longer. "This is all well and good," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "But what about the cost? It's much cheaper to keep someone in prison for life than to execute them. Why waste taxpayers' money on something like this?"
Lumiere took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "While it's true that the death penalty can be costly, it's also important to consider the long-term effects of keeping a dangerous criminal alive," he said. "By executing them, we eliminate the possibility of them committing further crimes and causing more harm to society."
The debate continued on for several more minutes, with each student presenting their own arguments for and against the death penalty. Lumiere remained firm in his beliefs and didn't change his mind.
As the class drew to a close, the students dispersed, still deep in discussion about the contentious topic. Lumiere lingered behind for a moment, gazing out the window at the bustling city below. Lumiere left the classroom with a heavy heart, his mind still reeling from the heated debate over the death penalty. He was so lost in thought that he didn't notice a group of students waiting for him just around the corner.
"Hey, it's the death penalty guy!" one boys sneered, shoving Lumiere against the lockers. "You think you're so smart, don't you?"
Lumiere tried to back away, but the group closed in around him, their faces twisted with malice. "You're just a freak," A girl spat, her voice dripping with venom. "No one wants to listen to your stupid opinions."
Just then, Adrien appeared, his fists clenched as he strode over to the group. "Leave him alone," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
The bullies sneered at him, but Adrien didn't back down. "I mean it," he said, his gaze steady. "Get out of here before I make you."
The group hesitated, but the girl stepped forward, her eyes blazing with fury. "Who are you to tell us what to do?" she snarled, raising a hand to strike Adrien.
But before she could land the blow, the principal appeared, his face stern as he glared at the group. "What is going on here?" he demanded, his voice ringing through the hallway.
The bullies cowered, suddenly meek and apologetic. "We were just messing around, sir," one of them said, his eyes darting nervously.
The principal didn't buy it, though. "This kind of behavior is unacceptable," he said, his voice icy. "I won't tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment in this school. You will all be punished accordingly."
As the bullies slunk away, heads bowed in shame, Lumiere turned to Adrien, gratitude etched on his face. "Thank you," he said, his voice soft. "I don't know what I would have done without you."
Adrien shrugged, a small smile on his lips. "Just doing what's right," he said. "No one deserves to be treated like that, especially not for speaking their mind."
When school was over Lumiere stormed into his house, his anger simmering just below the surface. He didn't even bother greeting his parents as he made a beeline for his room, his thoughts consumed with the events of the day. "All those stupid bastards," he muttered to himself, clenching his fists in frustration. He flopped onto his bed and grabbed the remote, turning on his smart TV.
He decided to watch the first episode of Death Note, hoping it would take his mind off things. He fast-forwarded to the scene where Kira used the Death Note for the first time, and a thought occurred to him. "I wish the Death Note was real," he muttered under his breath. "I could get rid of all those evil people in the world with it."
Suddenly, an akuma appeared in his room, sent by Hawk Moth. Usually the appearance of the akumatized changes when an akuma touches them, but nothing happened this time. The only thing that changed was the color of his eyes, which turned a fiery shade of red.
"Hi Lumiere," a voice echoed in his head. "I'm Hawk Moth, and I'm giving you the power to control life and death."
Lumiere looked around, confused. "Who is it? Oh no, I'm hearing voices in my head again."
"I'm real, Lumiere," Hawk Moth assured him. "And I can give you the power you desire. I will turn your notebook into a Death Note."
Lumiere's gaze fell on a plain notebook that was resting on his bed. "That's impossible."
"Just try," Hawk Moth urged him. "And by the way, your new name is The Notebook."
Hawk Moth explained everything about Ladybug and Cat Noir, the Miraculouses, and how Lumiere could use the Death Note to achieve his desires. Lumiere was overwhelmed by the information, but a sense of power coursed through his veins. He knew what he had to do.
As he picked up the notebook, he felt a sense of excitement building inside him. The world was his for the taking, and nothing could stop him.
Lumiere sat on his bed, staring at the notebook in his hand. The power he held was immense, and it made him feel more powerful than ever before. He zapped through channels on his smart TV, until he stumbled upon the news of a hostage situation. Without a second thought, he wrote the name of the criminal in the notebook, and almost instantly, the criminal collapsed on the screen.
The Notebook started to laugh, relishing in the power he held. "Emily, death took you away from me, but now death will bring you back," Hack Moth thought, a twisted smile on his face. then he spoke, interrupting Lumiere's thoughts. "I will give you a sentimonster," he said, and a figure like Ryuk appeared before The Notebook. "He will be invisible to your enemies," Hawk Moth continued.
"Great," The Notebook said with satisfaction. But then, Hawk Moth added a warning. "Don't write Gabriel or Adrien Agreste's names in the notebook, and do not forget to kill Ladybug and Cat Noir and bring me their Miraculouses."
"Why can't I write those names? What happens if I do?" The Notebook asked mockingly, but Hawk Moth's angry response quickly silenced him. "Don't you dare, or I will remove your powers!" he shouted.
The Notebook felt his head start to pound, as if he was experiencing a severe headache. He quickly clutched his head, and with a shaky voice, agreed not to write the names Hawk Moth had forbidden him from. Then, he took a deep breath and stepped out of his house, ready to write more names in the notebook.
But he had barely taken a few steps when he heard footsteps behind him. The three male students and the one female student from his class appeared before him, and they weren't happy. "Hey, you!" one of them shouted. "You were the only one who raised your hand in favor of the death penalty! You're sick!"
The Notebook tried to walk away, but the group of students blocked his path, their expressions twisted with anger. The Notebook held onto the Death Note tightly, feeling the weight of the power it held within it.
"What's that, your secret diary?" the girl sneered, her voice dripping with contempt. "We will take that," one of the boys said, his voice threatening.
The Notebook felt his frustration and anger boiling inside him. He could see their names written above their heads, and without hesitation, he wrote them down in the notebook. The three boys and the girl all collapsed to the ground, their bodies lifeless.
The Notebook looked at the scene before him, feeling a mixture of emotions. He was satisfied that he had taken care of the bullies, but at the same time, he felt guilty for what he had done. He knew that killing was wrong, but the power of the Death Note was too great to resist.
"Now it's time to find Ladybug and Cat Noir," he thought. "If I keep writing names, I will surely catch their attention." The Notebook was determined to find the Miraculous holders and claim their powers for himself. He would stop at nothing to achieve his goal, even if it meant using the Death Note to take lives.
Nadya Chamak's voice filled the room as Adrien and Marinette watched the news in disbelief. Criminals were dying mysteriously, and it seemed to be the work of an akumatized person. Adrien transformed into Cat Noir, and Marinette transformed into Ladybug. They met on the streets of Paris and began their search for this new villain.
After some time, they found The Notebook. "Stop killing innocent people," Cat Noir demanded. But The Notebook was defiant. "They're evil. They deserve it."
Ladybug interjected, "No, there are other ways." However, Hawk Moth urged The Notebook to continue his killing spree. "Come on, write their names," he urged.
The Notebook reached for his Death Note but found he couldn't see their names. "I can't see their names," he said in frustration.
"What do you mean?" Hawk Moth questioned.
"All I see is a blurry image. There is some kind of magic protecting them," The Notebook explained.
Ryuk confirmed The Notebook's suspicion. "I can't see them either. The Miraculous magic must be protecting them."
Hawk Moth was displeased. "Find a way to know their names and write them," he demanded.
As Ladybug and Cat Noir chased after The Notebook, they tried their best to take the Death Note away from him. However, he was agile and quick, easily dodging their attempts. In a last ditch effort, Cat Noir used his cataclysm to destroy the Death Note, but the attack accidentally hit Ryuk.
"No, Ryuk! You erased my sentimonster!" The Notebook exclaimed in frustration.
Ladybug interjected, "Stop doing this." "Hawk Moth, I have an idea."said The Notebook
Without delay, The Notebook ran towards the nearest TV station with Ladybug and Cat Noir in hot pursuit. Once he arrived, he commandeered the broadcasting equipment and sent a message out to the citizens of Paris.
"Listen people of Paris and the rest of France," he announced, his voice amplified through televisions across the city. "This message is for the Mayor of Paris. If you don't arrest Ladybug and Cat Noir and make them tell you their names, I will kill your daughter, Chloe Bourgeois."
The threat was so serious that the mayor issued an arrest order for Ladybug and Cat Noir. Chaos ensued throughout Paris, as citizens became divided over whether or not the superheroes should reveal their identities. Ladybug and Cat Noir found themselves in a precarious situation, and the fate of the city rested in their hands.
"Listen these are your options"said the Notebook to Ladybug and Cat Noir "option 1: you write my name and kill me,option 2 : you don't write my name but if you don't I will eventually kill Chloe, your parents and friends.option 3: You reveal your identities, give me the Miraculouses and nobody else dies""Ladybug had to decide quickly,Cat Noir was going to detransform soon and he couldn't escape with all the police surrounding them .
"How can I trust you?" asked Ladybug
Cat Noir's transformation was about to fade away soon as he and Ladybug stood before the Mayor and The Notebook. Ladybug quickly utilized her Lucky Charm power, calling forth a Death Note and pen. The Mayor demanded that Ladybug and Cat Noir reveal their identities.
"I'll keep writing names until you make your choice," The Notebook threatened.
The Notebook's twisted smile widened. "You have no other option, my dear Ladybug. You can either risk trusting me, or let the lives of the innocent hang in the balance," he said, holding out his Death Note.
Ladybug hesitated, unsure of what to do. "I'll leave my notebook here," The Notebook offered, placing the Death Note on the ground.
Ladybug's heart sank as she reluctantly accepted The Notebook's ultimatum. "Alright, we'll give you our miraculouses," she said, lowering her head.
But Cat Noir refused to comply. "No, we can't do that," he said, determined to protect their identities.
Desperate, Ladybug reached for her earrings to transform back into civilian form and reveal their identities to save Chloe and others from certain death. But before she could do so, Cat Noir suddenly snatched the Death Note from Ladybug's hand and swiftly scribbled down a name.
"Lumiere Dubois Nakamura, spontaneous combustion," he wrote. A horrified scream pierced the air as Lumiere disintegrated into ashes.
Ladybug looked at Cat Noir in shock, unable to comprehend what had just happened. "How could you?!" she cried.
Cat Noir's eyes welled up with tears. "If we revealed our identities, we wouldn't be able to see each other again. I couldn't let that happen," he explained before turning and running away.
The news of Cat Noir's shocking act spread like wildfire, and people all over Paris were in disbelief. The once-beloved superhero had taken a life, and there was no going back from that. Ladybug was left to pick up the pieces of the shattered city and the broken heart of her former partner.
