"She reminds you of Sherlock," Ella stated. John already knew that of course, in fact he was pretty sure that he had told her that. Maybe Mycroft was right about Ella being terrible at diagnosing him.
"I can't help it," John said. "She looks like him, she acts like him a bit but that's not why I'm friends with her."
"It's not?" Great, she thought that he trying to hang around a gender bended version of Sherlock or something.
"No, she's not. She's a great person to hang out with. We have fun together, it's easy to talk to her."
"How do you think Sherlock would feel about your relationship? You moved on to someone else so soon after his death. And its his sister of all people."
"What? Sherlock and I weren't dating!" Why did everyone think they were a couple? Had no one ever heard of a platonic relationship? "I'm not dating his sister either. We're just friends. Good friends." John let out a small laugh. "I think he'd be more worried about her befriending Anderson."
John was relieved when the session finally ended. He wasn't a professional but he didn't think that therapy should be so awkward. Some of what Ella had said did make John think though. How would Sherlock have reacted to John meeting his sister? In all the time that John had known Sherlock he never once mentioned a sister. Sherlock hadn't mentioned Mycroft either. Maybe Sherlock had a lot of family that he never mentioned. John briefly imagined finding out that Sherlock had an evil twin. The idea felt more plausible than he wanted to admit.
I'm seriously considering my best friend having an evil twin and getting along with Anderson, John thought. What is wrong with me? John sighed and headed home.
I think that maybe I should include Mary in this story because John met her at some point during the time that he thought Sherlock was dead.
