Ehhhh... Um factoid: THIS STORY IS 50 PAGES LONG IN MICROSOFT WORD! I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF! That is, it is in the font Calibri in size 10.5 so yep! Yayyyy! That wasn't the factoid by the way. I have never been trick or treating before so this is my first year!

As always I don't own Kingdom Hearts or the characters...

"So what are we supposed to be doing?" Roxas asked the teacher and she let out an annoyed sound.

"If you'd come on time you'd know this… Okay. So our sister school is Destiny Island Drama Academy, but you know that, and they're doing a play. Their head teacher kindly asked our school to make the music for the background and for the songs. There are lyrics to the songs on your desk but don't worry about the second song because that already has a backing track. You're going to work in groups of two or fours and make up music. The best composed piece wins for each song and will be used in the actual play. Our class also has tickets to the Wednesday performance which is at 1:20pm, we're leaving at 12:40 so be ready on the day and do not be late. The performance is at the last week of term. Understood?" She explained it all and Roxas and Axel nodded their heads and got to work.

"So we're gonna work together right? Can't wait Roxy, my babe~" Axel winked and Roxas made a noise similar to what the teacher made.

"God… Shut up Axel."

"I could always kiss you again." Axel stated and Roxas went all blushy again. He hit him on the head. "Okay, okay! No more talk of who know what."

"Just sounds like you're talking about Voldemort for goodness sakes…" Axel laughed at Roxas' comment. They got to work quickly enough. On the other side of the classroom Marluxia and Larxene were talking about their own problems.

"Seriously what's up with them two?! Axel has always been overly friendly with people but this is fucking ridiculous." Marluxia hissed out. "Just look at them, something's not right."

"Hmmm… Yeah…" Larxene fiddled with her pencil and was looking down at the table with, possible, the most bored expression ever. She wasn't really paying attention. Her mind was on Xion and how she was. 'I wonder if she's okay… She really scared me last night. I didn't know about Ventus being her brother… God I feel so rude and horrible!' She rested her head in her hands and rubbed her eyes. If she had to say her weakness it would definitely be Xion. She'd do anything for her. That's how much she loved her. She definitely felt terrible about having bullied Ventus without knowing he was related to her precious girlfriend. She just wished she could do something to apologize but still be friends with Marluxia. Marluxia had always had a burning hatred for Ventus for some reason, maybe memories from a previous life?

"OH MY GOD! Look! Axel is totally flirting with Ventus, what the hell?!" The pink haired male was seething with anger. 'How DARE he abandon me for the kid we're supposed to be bullying. Fuck you Axel. And you Ventus. Why is it that you've become so different? Why in God's name are you suddenly all strong and able to fight back?! Something is so not right and I will find out…' Marluxia definitely didn't enjoy seeing Ventus so happy. Why you ask? Well that's one of Marluxia's secrets.

Back to Roxas and Axel though, they we're doing their best to make up tunes for the background. There was: Reminiscing, Joyous and Evil is Near to compose. Axel had chosen to do 'Evil is Near' while Roxas got to work on 'Reminiscing'. Axel was leaning over Roxas' shoulder.

"Axel! Get to work on your own for goodness sakes." Roxas put down his pencil and turned to face Axel, making the taller one almost fall back on his chair.

"Why so cold Roxy? Did that kiss outside mean nothing to you?" Axel asked batting his eyelashes with a joking pout on.

"Sh-shut up about that!" Roxas blushed making the red head throw his head back in laughter. He put his hands out in front of him showing his palms, as if to say don't hurt me or something.

Eventually they were both working on the creating their pieces, each only talking to the other for help (and Axel saying a few flirty comments in between, which resulted with a hit on the head from the blonde).

Time seemed to fly by as they whole classroom seemed to fall silent with only the sound of pencil on paper. Until the bell sounded.

"Okay class, hand in your sheets as you leave, you'll have more time to work on these the next few lessons. Have a nice lunch." The class was dismissed and Riku quickly made his way over to Roxas.

"Roxas, did something happen? You seem less violent and he-"Riku whispered before getting cut off.

"Oh? I'm 'less violent'? I'm not violent! Jeez what is wrong with you?!" Roxas hissed back, offended at the accusation of being violent. He stormed off in a huff. Axel grabbed Riku.

"What the hell was that about?" Axel asked.

"Do you not know about what happened last night after you left? I would've thought you'd go to Larxene's house after Xion's confession." Riku was surprised. He didn't think Axel didn't know… Maybe that's one of the reasons Roxas had his guard down around him? Because he didn't know about it? It certainly was a possibility. He told Axel to meet him in the school car park so he could explain it without drawing attention to them. Now was Marluxia's turn to speak.

"What the fuck was that Axel? We're supposed to be bullying Ventus not becoming his friend." The pink haired one spoke up as they left the classroom.

"Sorry Marluxia. If I get close to him I bet you I can break him easily." Axel smirked. He didn't like lying about it but he didn't want to give Roxas away.

"Good plan, what do you think Larx?" Marluxia smiled at his best friend. She looked at him and smiled.

"Yeah. Break him from up close. Good idea Ax." She forced herself to pretend. She really didn't want Marluxia to think anything had changed after Xion appeared. It wasn't Ventus' fault as Xion had explained…

Marluxia and Larxene went into the cafeteria while Axel made his way to the car park where he spotted a head of silver hair leaning against the wall. He made his way over and Riku explained what had occurred after he had left the Strife residence that night.

While Riku and Axel had their talk, Roxas had made his way to the school roof.

The older twin sighed as he got to the highest point of the school, the roof and he set his bag down on the floor and took his phone out. It was only break time so he had about 15 minutes. He unlocked his phone and went to the pictures. Flicking to the left he finally found the group of pictures he wanted to see. They were of Xion. He and Xion had always been close, not like him and Ventus close but almost. He continued flicking, there were so many family photos and he couldn't help but smile as he saw all of them. He got the end of the album and the last picture froze him. It was his mother… He didn't even know he had a picture of her. Her long golden primrose hair, her ocean blue eyes, wide smile across her face and two little baby's in her arms. It was a picture of his mother with both him and Ventus. A picture from the day they were born. She looked so happy… The teenager tried hard to fight the tears but he couldn't. He felt so upset that she was gone, and that he'd now lost Xion, in a way, too. The door to the roof opened and Roxas was quick to dry his eyes before this person saw.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't think anyone'd be up here." The girl said giving a shy smile. She had blue hair and blue eyes, talk about colour coordination. Ahh… She was the girl Ventus sat next to during their form time. He couldn't remember her name though… Roxas sniffled and finished drying his eyes, turning off his phone too.

"Don't worry. I was just leaving." Roxas replied.

"Oh! Ventus! We have next class together in about 5 minutes so stay, we can walk down together." The girl insisted upon it and to be honest Roxas was relieved because now he didn't have to wander around for ages trying to find it.

"So what are you doing up here? You never come to the roof Ven." She asked and Roxas just shook his head.

"It's nothing. Don't worry. What about you?" Roxas quickly dodged the question. He wasn't going to admit that he was crying to her, that'd mean her starting to act all helpful and she seemed like a motherly type of person. She looked down at her shoes.

"I'm just clearing my head. There's this boy in our sister school who I've known for some time since we take extra tuition classes together and I've liked him for some time now. He's the king in the upcoming play and I want to confess the feelings that I have for him but I have this feeling that he likes someone else… Don't let me get you down though. We better get going anyway. Class starts soon." The girl held out her hand to help Roxas up and he accepted the help.

They started walking down and he questioned the girl about who the person she liked was. So far he knew it was a boy in the same year as them, he had brown hair and blue eyes, that he was an only child and was quite tall. Then the pieces slipped into place and Roxas gasped. No… It wasn't him... That'd be crazy! …Or was it?

~Meanwhile~

"Mwahahaha! I curse your child! On her 16th birthday she shall prick her finger on a spinning wheel and DIE! HAHAHAHAHA!" Sora exaggeratedly cackled in his most evil voice. He grinned evilly and then exited the stage to the left, in an evil way, into the darkness, while looking evil. Terra couldn't help but burst out laughing at the other brunet's performance. Sora was probably the least evil person he knew; the least evil person anyone knew in fact!

"Oh my god… Terra, please control yourself!" Kairi groaned exasperatedly at the outburst the 'king' had made as she gave him a hit on the head (nothing serious, just a friendly one, of course).

"Sorry, sorry…" Terra sighed, still smiling and snickering a bit. The auburn haired girl rolled her eyes and set up the stage for the next scene they were rehearsing.

"Okay, Sora this is the scene where you get killed by Vanitas. Don't mess it up." Kairi warned both the boys and then gave a rather too happy smile to them as she walked off stage. Sora and Vanitas took their places and the stage lights were turned on. The scene began.

"So it was you. That infamous wizard who almost killed the queen!" Vanitas hissed at the brunet who simply yawned in response.

"Oh, I guess my reputation exceeds me. Let's get this over with okay? It's bed time for children." Sora mocked the 'prince' and smirked at him. He flicked his hand and the lights dimmed and became green, and Vanitas drew his (plastic) sword and shield

"You think you can defeat me with that measly piece of trash? Ha! As if!" The black haired one snarled and charged at Sora, who skilfully dodged, not actually expecting the fierceness put into it.

"Whoa whoa! Almost got me there." Sora smiled.

"I'm not going to miss next time! That I'll promise you!" All Sora did was scoff as he brought his hand up to his mouth. Vanitas gave him a puzzled look and then the brunet bit his hand and smoke appeared, covering the stage.

"The effects are really good… I didn't think this school had such a budget for just one play…" Ventus said to himself, really impressed with the amount of effort and time that had obviously already been put into just the special effects. DIAMS only put on a yearly music festival, which was a very simple event where you'd bring your instrument and either do a solo act or participate in the 'battle of the bands'. Everything there didn't need money to pay for it; after all it was literally on the field on the stage they already had, which also had lighting attached to it anyway. Terra looked down at Ventus.

"You okay? You're mumbling to yourself Roxas." Ventus shook his head and Terra shrugged, both of them then turning their attention back to the scene being practiced. Sora had exited the stage and there was the shadow of a hydra in his place.

"Mwahahaha, now you have no chance of even scratching me!" Sora's voice echoed in the auditorium as he spoke into a microphone. He then cleared his throat and stepped away from the microphone.

"Yeah, okay, uh… This is my solo so yeah. Insert musical number here and all that jazz. You know." He shouted to the rest of the cast. Kairi face palmed but before she could say anything Vanitas continued with his role.

"Tch… We'll see about that! Fairy of the forest! I call upon your power to aid me in this fight!" The sword lit up (with the electrical device that the props person had managed to fit inside, god bless them and their weird knowledge on how to do that sort of stuff) and Vanitas got into a fighting stance before using the multiple overhangs to make it seem as if he was on the hydra's back. He took a step back and then jumped down the edge, swinging his sword and effectively cutting off on of the hydra's heads, the shadow being manipulated, via the wooden puppet it came from. Then…

"SORA!" Vanitas shouted angrily at the brunet who had thought it'd be a great idea to throw red juice all over him.

"What? It looks like blood…" Sora stifled a giggle as Vanitas glared at him.

"Oh go fuck yourself." The black haired teenager stormed off stage, grabbed his bag and left the auditorium. Silence…

"Now look what you've done. Geez…" Kairi ran after Vanitas and Ventus just froze. Should he go after him? Should he leave him alone? He didn't know how Vanitas reacted to things or how he should react when they happen. Heck he'd only know him a day! Well… two if you count the time when he was 2, but Ventus didn't remember that. No one in his family did, at least out of the living members.

~Flashback~

"Isn't he just a cutie pie?" A blonde haired woman cooed to a small black haired toddler who was playing with a panther toy. The other woman in the room laughed.

"Oh my, you should see him when he throws a tantrum! It's absolutely terrible, let me tell you." She smiled as she watched her son make the plush toy pounce at a toy truck. The blonde scoffed.

"You have not met my sons then have you? Twins are twice as bad!"

"Twins?! You never said anything about twins! You brought both of them over here right?"

"Oh course I did! Roxas! Ventus! Over here!" The woman shouted to her sons and both came running.

"They are just precious! Hello Ventus." The black haired woman picked up one of the babies.

"That's Roxas. Ventus is already over there with your son."

"Hewwo!" Roxas slapped his hand against the hand of the strange woman who was holding him. The two grown-ups giggled at the display of pure cuteness before them. Meanwhile Ventus was standing next to the other child, the one with black hair.

"Ven!" The blonde squealed and pointed to himself.

"Vwanitus!" The black haired one pointed to himself too. Ventus sat next to his newly made friend and smiled. Vanitas gave the panther to the other toddler and started playing with the truck instead. The blonde's blue eyes widen is glee and he gave a hug to his first ever friend (outside of his family). The black haired one sat there shocked at the sudden contact but smiled anyway.

~End Flashback~

"Shouldn't you go follow him?" Terra asked a bit awkwardly.

"… No… I think I should leave him alone for the time being…" Ventus replied slowly, thinking out each word choice carefully. Terra was surprised at this because of the closeness 'Roxas' and Vanitas had been having since yesterday.

The class just sat in the auditorium quietly waiting for the two missing characters to return. It took so time but Kairi had managed to get Vanitas back to his class but even then the black haired teen just sat one of the seats with a blank expression, not participating in the play at all. Ventus was worried for his friend but didn't say a word to him, even after the lesson ended. Sora took Ventus by the arm and pulled him away to a secluded place when the bell went.

"What the hell Ven?!" Sora practically screamed at his brother.

"What?"

"Vanitas! Talk to him!"

"Shouldn't you apologize to him first before anyone else says anything?" Ventus answered back making Sora fall silent and his mouth form an 'o' shape.

"Oh yeah… Well we can just both go and talk to him together! Next lesson it's a promise!" Sora grinned. This boy really wasn't the type to be an evil wizard…
