"Okay, Blossom, how did you even get here?" She picked up the lamp off of the ground and held it delicately in her hands.
"This. I am a water jinn thus you must have unleashed me by wetting it"
"Well that isn't very customary" Brick rubbed his eyes raw.
"Why do you not seem happy, this is a blessing. Most men would kill for this opportunity and here you seem to reject it"
"I don't reject it, I just don't know what to do now and I'm a bit disoriented from that nasty fall. I'm supposed to be heading to a meeting."
"I shall come with you."
"No! No no no! No!" She pouted at his reaction. "You're going to stay here. Far away from any business executives and not touching anything"
"I can not leave your side Master"
"Well why the hell not?!"
"My life is now attached to yours until the day you finish your wishes. We can not be apart for too long as it would weaken me"
Brick let out a loud sigh. What had he gotten himself into. "Okay fine, but can I at least have enough privacy to get dressed."
She glanced down his body and cleared her throat. "Ah! Yes of course" and with that she walked outside his bedroom. He didn't move until he heard the click of the door shutting. He raked his fingers through his hair in frustration and then took a moment for complete and utter euphoria.
"Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Woohoo!" This was really happening. Three wishes. What would he wish for? He pushed those thoughts aside for another.
At this moment he had to pick out a suit.
Once he had gotten dressed he walked out of the bedroom to face pandemonium. The coffee machine was on and overflowing. The washing machine was on with bubbles leaking out onto the floor. The tap was broken and was trying to be fixed by none other than the pink eyed vixen herself. She was trying to stop the water from spraying everywhere but she was failing miserably. He rolled his eyes, now irritated, he walked over and switched off the coffee machine and washing machine and ultimately joining her at the sink to close the tap. She looked up at him with a nervous smile.
"Uh... I... umm... didn't mean to do all this. Everything was just so new and interesting."
"Do you now see why I don't want you touching anything?" She nodded solemnly. "See now you're all..." she already wore very little clothing but that her cropped top and skirt was wet it left nothing to the imagination. Dear God did she even have a bra on? "...wet" his mouth began to salivate. He swallowed deeply before clearing his throat "go get changed." He said looking everywhere but at her.
"What will I wear?" She asked curiously.
"Argh" he groaned. He didn't own anything feminine or even anything her size. He took ahold of her arm dragging her to his bathroom "I'll find something for you".
He went in his drawers and looked for something for her all while she surveyed the room. It was a big room wooden floors, huge glass windows that let in a lot of light and she gravitated to it. She walked up and placed her hand on the glass looking out into the street below. It was busy with moving box-like machines and people. She quilted an eyebrow at the rest of the view. There were huge buildings. All of them some shade of grey. She watched in wonderment before she felt a tap of her shoulder. She turned around to face Brick who was holding a hand full of undergarments. The took them and thanked him before starting to remove her clothes.
"Stop!" She halted her movements. "What are you doing?!"
"I'm changing as you said master"
"Well not in front of me! Argh let me leave the room then you can change, okay?"
"Okay" he walked out closing the door behind him. She then began to change into a pair of loose shorts and shirt. The shirt lacked sleeves and the shorts were falling off her waist so she tied at the waist band. She walked outside the room to an unimpressed Brick
"What took you so long?"
"I had some difficulty with the waist band but I managed" he scrutinised her outfit before saying
"I don't have any shoes that will fit so you'll have to do bare foot."
"So we're going to your meeting now?" She said excitedly
"No! "She frowned. "We are going to the shops to get you better clothes" she smiled again.
"Oh I would love that! Thank you so much master"
"Let's hit the road". He lead her down a hallway and into an elevator. The doors opened and she took a step back he held her and dragged her body in before it shut behind them.
"Who opened and closed that door?"
"Technology" she gave him a baffled glance before the elevator moved down.
"Aaaaaaaaahhhhhh!" She fell to her knees.
"What the heck, shh! Shh! Everything is going to be fine, we're just moving downwards no big deal. Breathe Blo... wait what was your name again?" She was heaving in breathes before the elevator opened its doors to a bunch of high school boys. She leaped to her feet running out of the elevator and collapsed outside it. The boys watched in amusement as her pants began to sag. Shit. She wasn't wearing any underwear.
"Shit" he walked out and pulled her up. "There is nothing to see here, so beat it before a gorge on your eyes" he said menacingly. The boys practically jumped over themselves to get int the elevator which closed just afterwards. It was only afterwards did he bring his attention back to the girl in his arms. She was pale and breaking out into cold sweats.
"God damn it, it wasn't that bad."
"Blossom"
"What?"
"My name. It's Blossom" he looked at her before saying. "Listen Blossom, there are going to be a lot of new things happening in this world and it's going to freak you out at first which I understand perfectly but I can't have you fainting every time we do something that's new to you. I need you to stay calm at all times and take things as they come. Okay?" She just stood there looking back at him. "Did you hear that or do I need to repeat myself?"
"No I heard you, I'll calm down as much as I can"
"Thank God" he looked around the room and spotted the stairs. "We'll take the stairs sinve you're too freaked out right now"
"Thank you."
"Yeah it's no problem it's only just 11 stories" he said sarcastically.

They finally reached the ground floor and they walked towards his car with Brick watching Blossom tentatively study the cars.
"What are these?"
"They are cars. They take people from place to place like horses do and this baby is mine" he switched off it's alarm system thus lighting it up. Blossom just stared at it. "It's red."
"It's a Ford Mustang. A classic car"
"Car?" she pointed to the his ford.
"Yes, car"
"Cars?" She gestured to the parking lot.
"Yes, cars"
"Oh"
"Okay let's not waist anymore time, get in" she swung open the door hitting another car.
"Sorry!"
"Just get in please." She stepped in their car and closed the door. He did the same and started the engine. It growled a walk which startled her.
"Stay calm remember" he said
"Okay." He pulled out of the parking lot and into the road. "Argh, traffic" he groaned.
"So many cars"
"Great observation" he said already annoyed "so have you always been a genie"
"What is the date?"
"June 2017"
"Then I have been a jinn for almost 200 years"
"What?" He said astonished.
"I said I ha-"
"I know what you said I'm not retarded. So you've never seen any of this stuff at all?"
"No"
"Shut up" she shook her head. "Shut up"
"I didn't say anything"
"Regency era, that's interesting but you're really pretty" she blushed
"So you agree, you think you're really pretty"
"Oh I don't know..."
"So what do you think about the car?"
"Well it's loud but extremely comfortable" he smiled.
"Let me put some music on" he turned on his iPod and selected a song.
"Bitch be humble, sit down, be humble, sit down"
"This is Kendrick Lamar, you'll love him."
"So far I don't think so." She covered her ears and winched at the sound.
"Okay fine, I'll play something else that you might like." He took a moment to look at the iPod before ultimately finding the right song. The sound of violins were heard in the car. "Don't tell anyone I listen to this okay."
She rolled her eyes "Who do I have to tell this to"
"You can never be too sure". An enigmatic beat came up and she found herself listening intently.
Feet don't fail me now. Take me to the finish line. Oh my heart it breaks every step that I take. But I'm hoping that the gates. They'll tell me that your mine.
Her heartbeat slowed at the amalgam of sounds. She listened to the words and felt the sorrow. She felt a deep sadness and she couldn't help herself. The song had reached its crescendo.
Don't make me sad, don't make me cry. Sometimes love is not enough and the world gets tough I don't know why. Keep making me laugh. Let's go get high. The road is long, carry on try to have fun in the mean time. Come and take a walk on the wild side, let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain. You like your girls insane. Choose your last words. This is the last time. 'Cause you and I. We were born to die...
She hadn't noticed she was crying until Brick said something. "Hey hey, don't cry." He held the side of her face and wiped her tears away. "The song is over, you don't have to even think about it anymore." She developed a hiccup now.
"Do you *hiccup* have a handkerchief" she punctuated it with another hiccup.
"We're way past those times luv" he dug into his glove compartment and pulled out a tissue "I'm sure this will do the trick" she used it to wipe up her tears. Her hiccups were subsiding by the time he spoke out.
"Do you want to tell me what happened there"
"No"
"Okay"
The car remained silent until drove down the street. "We're here". She looked out the window and saw the building and found herself getting excited to explore it. They pulled into another parking space and walked into the entrance of what read Tom Ford.
"Who is Tom Ford?"
"A designer."
"Wow" she said dumbstruck. Brick shrugged.
"It's alright. Look and see if there is anything you like. I'll be back"
He walked towards one of the many suits lined up and she was left to her own devises. She walked into the stored slowly and her eyes found a pair of black heels that were impossibly high but it didn't stop them from being beautiful. She walked towards them. She reached out to touch them only to have her hand smacked away. She pulled her hand back and cradled it to her chest.
"Don't touch anything you can't afford missy and by that rule you shouldn't even be walking on the floors of this store." Her hand still stung and she was now deeply embarrassed that even in this world she was seen as worthless.
"You're right. I'm sorry I disturbed you" and she walked away with fresh tears welling up in her eyes.
"What the fuck was that?!" She looked up to see an infuriated Brick stomping towards her. He pulled up her chin to see her tears and he narrowed his eyes at the lady that had just served her. "I heard every God damn word you said to her. Is that how you treat customers here?"
"M-m-mr J-jo-jo. I had n-n-no idea she was with you"
"Let me speak to the manager, now" she scrambled out of the scene and Blossom was now left with a seething Brick. He turned, looked at her and almost all his anger vanished. He made a move towards her and she immediately took a step back. "Argh, heck don't be afraid of me. I was just protecting you" he walked to her and she had to do everything to keep herself from bolting. He stood before her and began wiping her tears.
"Remember when I said you need to stay calm?"
"Y-y-yes and I'm trying but-"
"You're doing a great job at that. I'm just adding another rule, okay?"
"Okay"
"Don't let anyone bully you anywhere okay. If you do, you'll be a doormat to everyone who comes into your life"
"A doormat?" She sniffed.
"Uh, yeah. Something people step on to clean their shoes before stepping onto a better platform" she cringed.
"Huh, yeah exactly. So do we have a, as you would call it, a wager?" She laughed
"We have a deal master"
"Just call me Brick, okay?"
"Okay"
"Let's get you some new clothes." He turned and gestured to another clerk"Excuse me can we get some help here please. Thank you. I need a week worth of clothes for this young lady. Shoes and all"
"Gladly sir" her eyes danced excitedly. "This way miss" Blossom looked to Brick for confirmation. He nodded, and she followed the woman to another side of the store. Brick surveyed the store looking for the chair he would be sitting on for the next hour or two. It was a relatively small store, they shouldn't take long. 'Oh but they could. Damn females' he thought.
It only took an hour for her to come out in a simple fitted black dress and strapped heels that would probably cost $3000 but none of that mattered because on her it looked gorgeous. Brick found his eyes drifting to her butt before she looked back at him and asked
"How do I look"
Gorgeous. Beautiful. Sexy.
"You look good" she smiled at him before staring back at a mirror. "Have you picked out the rest of your clothes for this week?"
"Yes, Danielle left the clothes at what she called a 'till'"
"Okay, I'll be right back." He went to pay for the goods and Blossom found herself looking around the street to another store. Sephora. It looked very pretty. "I didn't get the chance to speak to the manager. I'll do it next time I come in here. I can't let her get away with the shit she just pulled. Let's go" said Brick holding onto a few bags.
"Let me help you"
"I'm fine, it's just a few- God damn it. We're right here! We JUST finished"
Brick was yelling at a woman in an impossibly bright yellow and blue shirt by the car. See watched another scene of Bricks anger but was distracted by the store across from her. 'Just for a minute. You'll be back before he notices' and with that she walked to the store. She looked at all the bottles and creams on display. She stopped at the perfumes and smelled some of them. She decided her favourite was Dior Poison. She sprayed it on and moved towards what looked like makeup. She was stopped by a woman wearing all black as she was. "Hi ma'am would you like any help with anything."
"I'm not quite sure what I need help with"
"You don't wear makeup do you"
"Not since 1805"
She laughed "funny, I think you'd love to try a make over"
"I do?"
"Of course you do silly, let's go" Blossom was pulled to a chair and the woman began fiddling with products on the desk before coming forth with one of them
"I think I found the perfect colour match for you" she dusted a brush into the product before her hand was halted by another. Brick's hand.
"Thank you but she won't be needing any" the woman blushed before saying "okay we'll have a nice day ma'am" and walked off. Leaving her, once again, alone with Brick.
"Don't just leave like that, New York is huge. I wouldn't be able find you if I lost you and vice versa. The only reason I found you now is because of your affinity for the colour pink."
"How many rules am I going to have?"
"As many as we need to keep you safe in this new world, okay?"
"Okay" she said begrudgingly.
"Good" Brick looked at his watch before saying "I can't drop you off at home before the meeting so I'll have to take you with me"
"Really?" She was practically beaming.
"Yes but don't touch anything or speak to anyone"
"I can do that!" He knew from that moment onwards, he was doomed.
