Chapter 2: Alexander

Sky's POV:

The specialists and I had come back to Red Fountain to pack our stuff, we didn't get any time to speak to our girlfriends either. They all looked pretty shaken up with this new enemy of ours, even Bloom so I could only imagine how powerful those Slayers are.

We had all gone to our rooms to pack while Professor Saladin hovered around us hurrying us to finish packing. The girls looked shaken up but that was absolutely nothing compared to how devastated Professor Saladin looked right now. Wow our new foes must be terrifying to have such strong people in such a state.

Brandon, my roommate and best friend, and I were done packing and were waiting up on Riven and Timmy who were packing up Timmy's electronic gizmos. Professor Saladin was pacing up and down the corridor wearing his shoes out.

"Professor is something wrong?" I ask him.

He turns to me with worry etched in his face, he seemed to have aged a decade in the past two hours.

"No, it's nothing. I am just getting slightly impatient, that's all." He replied in a grave voice.

"I think 'slightly' would be an understatement." Brandon murmured from behind me.

Helia and Nabu bought out all the other bags while Riven and Timmy carried Timmy's electronics, apart from him, we had all packed one bag each carrying our essentials and weapons. Finally Professor Saladin stopped pacing about and stood still long enough to beckon us all over with his hand. So we all walked towards him with our luggage in hand.

Professor Saladin sighed once and seemed to be in a daze.

"I do not know anything about your trainer, neither does Miss Faragonda. You must behave yourselves and protect the Winx. This trainer might already be waiting for you in Alfea so let us not waste any more time, let us get going. Oh and lastly stay strong." He told us snapping out of his daze and looking at each one of us gravely, especially his grandson Helia.

"Yes Professor." We all reply.

"Good Boys. Now make me proud." He finishes with a clap of his hands.

Professor Saladin's transportation was quite quick and easy. I bright flash and light and found myself in front of the gates of Alfea. Miss Faragonda was standing a little way ahead and something amazing was behind her. There was a huge ship that looked amazing, nothing like I had ever seen before. It was a metallic blue colour, shaped narrower than our ships with its propellers and door visible which were both located at the bottom of the ship. The door was open so I could see part of the interior which was a set of leather chairs.

I turned to see the other guys as dumbfounded as I was with the ship and I could hear Timmy murmur illogically with his mouth hanging wide open, so I could only assume the technology of the ship must be amazing to astound even him.

Professor Saladin walked away from us towards Miss Faragonda and that was when I noticed someone else standing next to her. He was tall, around 6'8 and looked well built, or I assumed he was well built because he was covered by a grey cloak. His face had sharp features with blue eyes and straight jet black hair that came down till his eyes and neck.

He glanced towards us with no expression on his face whatsoever, so I could no figure out what he might be thinking about us or how he might be sizing us up.

"He looks quite hot." Brandon murmured.

"Dude are you gay?" Riven replied looking at Brandon like he is an idiot.

Timmy was still staring at the ship while Helia, Nabu and I smiled or laughed quietly at Riven's comment.

"Hey I'm just saying!" Brandon replied defensively.

I looked back to this mystery man and stepped forward towards him to introduce ourselves. After all he was going to train us.

"Hello. You must be our trainer, nice to meet you. I am Prince Sky or Eraklyon, these are my friends Timmy, Helia, Riven, Nabu and Brandon." I tell him while I indicate to the respective person.

He stared at me with plain disinterest on his face looked at each of us with the same expression and looked to the sky. He seemed extremely hostile towards us.

"I am sure he is happy to meet you." Professor Saladin tells us.

"I am sorry. I should have stood behind the girls while they packed so they would have hurried up." Miss Faragonda murmurs to him.

He looked at her with the same disinterested expression and looked back to the sky. Geez what was his problem? Did he not want to train us or something?

"Hey Bloom is coming." Timmy tells me. He somehow finally managed to take his eyes of the ship.

I turn away from this disinterested man to see the most beautiful girl walk up to us.

"I am so sorry that we are late!" She exclaims.

Her surprise was visible on her face when she saw the ship and the man standing with Miss Faragonda and Professor Saladin but she came back to her senses faster than we did. She turned towards us and gave me a small wave as well as one of her cute smiles before turning her attention back on the mysterious man.

She turned to see whether the rest of the winx were on their way, Layla and Musa were walking up to her and they waved at us before gawking at the ship and the man. Bloom turned back to the man to speak to him. I wanted to warn her that it would be of no use but she started talking.

"Hello, it is nice to meet you. I am Bloom and are you our instructor? These are my friends Musa and Layl-..." But before she could finish he looked at her and gave her a new kind of expression, does-it-look-like-I-care, and she just slowly quietened down.

This guy was getting on my nerves now. Being rude to me was fine, but not to my girlfriend, no one is rude to her and gets away with it. I am going to teach this guy a lesson of respect even if I have to do it by force.

"Snookums!" Stella screamed while she ran up to Brandon.

Behind her the rest of the girls arrived with their suitcases floating behind them. Magic was useful and i had seen it countless times, so the floating luggage did not surprise me, it was the number of suitcases behind Stella. No normal person requires so many! The girls waved to us and turned to gape at the ship and the mystery man.

"And these are the rest of the winx." Bloom stated not bothering to properly introduce them, he must have really annoyed her.

"He is hot!" Musa whispered and Riven grunted in reply.

This was when a change came over the arrogant man. He smiled and spread his arms out. I turned to see the winx and something strange happened. Flora lit up in joy and ran straight towards his open arms. She flung her arms around his neck, he wrapped his around her waist and picked her up and twirled her once before putting her back on the ground. I glanced at Helia to see the look of confusion on his face, maybe even a little anger.

"Xan, it has been so long! I didn't know you were gonna train us! How are you?" She asked obviously ecstatic.

I looked towards the girls to see the stunned. I don't think even they knew what was going on and I thought these girls shared everything. But at least now I figured his name was Xan.

"I am fine Flora, but now is not the time to talk." He told her. His voice was deep and rustic. He put his hand on her head and ruffled her hair.

"We should be heading out now. All of you board the ship and brink your luggage on by yourselves." He commands us. "Saladin, Faragonda I shall make sure they are trained well and are safe with us."

He pushed Flora onto the ship and disappeared inside. We all looked at each other too confused and astounded to even say a word so we complied. We picked up our suitcase and followed them onto the ship.

"Good bye me dear students, be safe and train hard. We shall meet soon. Good luck!" Miss Faragonda tells us as we board the ship.

"Thank you Miss. Faragonda, we shall try our best." Bloom replies.

The inside of the ship was completely different, there were around twenty leather chairs neatly arranged around and the insides of the ship were completely black, on the side of the door were a set of steps that lead to a small balcony like structure, it contained three chairs and a circuit board, or that is what Timmy calls it, so it must be the ships controls. There were no windows and when the door closed it looked like we were stranded in a dark space with light streaming through the floors and ceilings. Flora was with Xan near the ships controls where he was pressing some buttons, I could feel the ship leaving the ground.

We all sat down on the chairs and looked around dumbfounded. No one said a single word, it was apparent no one knew what to say. I looked at Bloom to see confusion in her eyes, she was trying hard to cover it up. She took my hand and smiled her angelic smile at me. I heard the sound on shoes hitting the floor and turned to see Xan and Flora coming down the stairs. They walked up to us before stopping a few steps in front, Flora stood a little behind him.

He looked at us with a serious face while Flora was in high spirits and grinning like she had just gotten a bucketful of candy. He looked at her and the looked back at us once more before raising his right hand towards the upper left part of his hidden chest and bowed slowly.

"My name is Alexander but all of you can address me as Alex." He told us straightening himself up and dropping his hand. "I am sure you have a lot of questions and are very confused, but let me say something first. I am not your trainer and I shall only help you, now I shall answer a few questions."

"Umm… We do have a lot of questions but this comes as a surprise to us. How do you know Flora?" Layla asked voicing all of our curiosities, mostly Helia's.

"We are childhood friends, we grew up together, played together. It was a group of us, some you might meet during your training, and some you might not. Flora and her sister grew close to us over time." He explained.

"You know Mielle as well?" Musa asked.

"Not Mielle, she was born later, but Rose." He replied

"Flora has a sister named Rose?" Nabu questioned as well.

"I have an older sister named Rose." Flora stated. "She is married to Xan so technically he is my older brother."

What? This is news. The girls had their mouths wide open, shock was evident even on the guys faces, though Helia's might be concealing relief. Alex bowed again slightly.

"I am glad you have taken such good care of my younger sister and she has told me so much about all of you." He tells us gratefully.

"Then how come she has never mentioned you before?" Stella asked eager for more news. I had to stop myself from rolling my eyes but Bloom did it for me.

"We made her promise not to tell anyone since our universe is a secret to you all. To guarantee that she and her sister would not say anything we made them take a blood oath, so even if she wanted to she could not tell you anything." He explained.

Ok now I am completely confused. What is a blood oath? It did not sound nice, and I would have never imagined Flora would have done something like that. Geez, if I came out sane by the end of this, it would be a big surprise. And then something hit me.

"Wait if you are not our trainer, then who is?" I asked. If he was not gonna train us then why was he here, is he our chauffeur?

As a reply to my question a red light near the control panel lit up and made a beeping noise which opened the door.

"You are in for a surprise, if you think I am hostile then think again, your trainer is wonderful with strangers and is already waiting for you. Anyways we have reached our first training ground, Enjoy." He chuckled and walked up to the open door.

His entire demeanour completely changed and now he actually seemed approachable, like he was someone you could talk to and hang out with. Was our trainer worse than his initial self? And what does he mean we already reached? It could not be this fast after all we were meant to go to another universe.
