Chapter 10: A break
Musa's POV:
BANG! The loud noise led me to I crashed onto the floor. I open my eyes through the haze of sleep still lingering over them to see that I had fallen out of my bed. I force myself awake and walk out into the kitchen to see Anna laughing while Flora and Alex were trying to clean up something that had fallen on the floor. I had not seen Uhira-sama so happy in the entire week he had trained me. He was galloping around like an idiot across the house with a wide smile plastered across his face.
"I can't wait! Hurry up! I want to get there as soon as I can!" Uhira exclaimed running around.
"Uhira, please calm down." Tecna says.
I turn around to see that everyone was already out of bed and ready. Riven's hand snakes around my waist and I can see in his eyes that we had some unfinished business. I give him a small smile I turn my head. I cannot deal with him right now.
"It's Uhira-sama to all of you! And you would not be calm if you know where we are going!" Uhira replies with glee."The day of the festival is coming up soon! You guys are just standing around here whiling away time. Chop chop, hurry up! We must leave soon!"
He runs into a table and dropping a vase with a loud crash.
I wriggle away from Riven's grasp and head over towards the bathroom to get ready.
"Otouto, calm down, you will end up breaking everything in here." Anna tells him through her fit of laughter.
I was changing my clothes but I could still hear them. I had spent the past week with Uhira and sometimes with Anna and I really liked the two of them. They were highly entertaining when they left all their worries behind and just relaxed.
"Why do you keep calling him Otouto?" I hear Bloom enquiring.
"It means little brother in Mato's, I mean, Uhira's language." Anna replies.
"Ohh, but it's not the same language as the one you spoke with Lady Aria right." Layla asks.
She knew her languages well.
"You're good. They are different languages. You see each world has its own language and culture that people follow." Anna explains.
"Isn't it the same for your worlds as well?" Uhira-sama questions them.
"Yes it is. If you don't mind me asking what is this festival?" Nabu asks curiously.
I walk out of the bathroom ready. I have been curious about the festival as well for a while. I never knew he could get so excited over something. I see Riven eyes staring into mine and I walk over to him and lean against his arm. Stella looks over to me and it looked like she had something she wanted to say.
"You don't know about the festival?! That's it! We are leaving immediately" Uhira-sama exclaims stunned.
Anna walks up to him and hits him across the head. I giggle and I can suddenly feel everyone's astonished eyes on me. I then remembered that they had not seen these two siblings bickering like I have during my training. It was my only source of entertainmentduring that grueling time.
"We need to first buy clothes and then the proper presents for these newbies who might enter the games held" Anna tells him with her fist up.
Uhira-sama rubs his head and looks at us with a pout on his face.
"Fine we shall go to the city but right after that, we go straight to Vladimir's house!" He announces.
Who is Vladimir? I had no clue and I was pretty sure none of the winx and specialists knew either. Well apart from Flora maybe. Uhira-sama stood up and clapped his hands. Instantly I felt my body vaporize. Like it disintegrated and reformed elsewhere. That's how teleportation with him felt. It felt truly strange, and I had been doing it for over a week.
When I could see clearly again, I saw that we were standing in front of a mall. A huge white stoned mall with a lot of shops. I could hear the jabber of people in the building and the sound of the vehicles nearby, though I could not see the vehicles. The people walking by looked like the ones we usually saw in magix, going about their business and buying goods. They definitely did not wear cloaks like my three friends.
We walked into the mall and I notices that all the people were staring at us, or more specifically the cloaked figures with us. All eyes were on Uhira-sama, Alex, and Anna. The people would stop and bow down and when they stood up again they would run away whispering. The three of them walked by ignorant of those around us. I saw people rushing out of stores to just come up to them and bow down, they were attracting way too much attention for under dressed folks.
"Okay, go enjoy yourselves. You deserve a break." Anna tells us.
"We shall meet up again in front of the mall in five hours, go enjoy yourselves." Alex continues while looking around.
"And don't forget to buy something for the festival, a present, which can be offered to the gods." Uhira-sama concludes with a grin.
He takes Flora's hand, turns on his heel and runs into a book store on the ground floor.
I turn and look at Helia who remains impassive. I recollect what I heard at night and I try my best to ignore the unpleasant thoughts that are popping into my head. One perpetual question lingers in my head. What happened to Flora here?
I feel Riven taking my hand and I look up to him. Now was the time we had the talk. Why was Riven making a big issue out of nothing? But strangely something else happened. Stella suddenly tugged my elbow and started to drag me away. I looked back to see that everyone, apart from Helia, was shocked with what Stella just did. Riven seemed pissed.
Riven was about to follow when Stella ran with me behind. I soon lost sight of everybody. We went up and down stairs, took many turns and it was then I understood Stella wanted to talk to me alone with no one to eavesdrop on us. Which means she wanted to talk about our training, because no matter how I see it, Stella would have gone to Bloom first if she had to talk about something.
We stopped a few minutes later and entered a cafe. I ordered a cake and an iced tea while Stella ordered a muffin and camomile tea.
"I guess you have figured what I want to talk about?" Stella asks me.
"You ditched shopping to come and talk to me, so it can only be about the training." I reply.
"I shall shop. Do not worry about that." Stella replies wickedly amused.
"What did you want to talk about?" I ask.
She hesitates for a second, and it was in that second that I figured out what she wanted to say. Anna used to visit me every day during my training, so I can assume she visited Stella as well during hers. This explained her disappearances during our training in the light world. By the end she made one thing clear. I should not speak of my training with anybody who has not finished theirs. And I saw some pretty bizarre things while training and it was only now I realized I wanted to get it out of my system. This was what Stella wanted. This is what she has wanted for a week now.
"Did you see the king or queen of this planet during your training?" She asks. Starting with easy things I see.
"A queen, yes. And you?" I ask her.
"A hot and handsome king." Stella smiles thinking about it.
I really did not want to remember my training, it had taken to much of a toll on my body as of now.
"I understand you don't want to speak of your training right now Musa. I don't want to force you to either, what I want to ask are very few simple questions, which are not completely related to the training." Stella tells me with understanding.
Stella has become understanding? This world can truly perform miracles.
"Did you feel the power when the queen arrived?" Stella continues taking a sip of her tea.
My mind slipped for that small instant and memories of the queen rushed to me. The first time I met her, I didn't see her. I felt her standing over me. My skin burned, my bones rattled and my blood froze. My breathing became heavy and I could not lift my head to see her. The winds around me were strong and were howling loudly. The noise made my head swim and teeth shatter. I felt like I was going to die any second. And that was not as bad, as what, the power thatcameof her when she fought with Uhira-sama. It's safe to say without a question that if Anna or he weren't there I would have been vaporised instantly.
"Hey are you okay?" Stella called me dragging me out of my memories.
I could feel beads of sweat forming on my forehead and trickling down my back, my hands were shaking. Stella looked at me with concern.
"I can see that you felt the power as well." Stella tells me with fear set deep in her eyes.
She was trying her best to cover it up.
"I see you can't talk about anything, that well, right now." Stella tells me.
"What do you think happened to Flora here?" I suddenly ask her curious and glad to change the topic of conversation.
Anything but the training. Then I understood how bad it must have been for Stella when we kept asking her.
"I think she is mean for not having told us about this place." Stella tells me with a pout.
"You know she would have told us. But something happened to her here that she doesn't want to talk about." I told Stella.
"What are you talking about?" Stella inquires with new curiosity.
Damn I should not have opened my mouth.
"You should not tell anyone what I am about to tell you." I plead her.
"Yes, I shall not tell anyone, I promise." She promises me.
I relate what I heard last night to her and I can see the shock on Stella's face.
"That's sort of explains what Anna was telling Lady Aria!" Stella suddenly exclaims.
"What?" I ask thoroughly confused.
She takes in a deep breath and shudders before she continues. She starts talking fast and I had to concentrate to catch her words properly. This training had really messed with us.
"One night when I was meant to be sleeping, during my training, I eavesdropped on a conversation between Anna and Lady Aria. Aria asked her if Flora was doing alright and Anna replied not so well now that she has seen Jake. Aria replied saying that she cannot believe he had the nerve to go after her after what he did, it took them a while to heal her mentally, physically and emotionally. It was silent for a while before Anna started again. She said she was going to personally train one of the winx to kill him, Flora cannot fight him and he will only traumatise her worse, she needs someone to fight him off and her friends seem very capable." Stella took a breath and continued.
"I don't really know what happened much after that as I fell asleep, but now I think we get a gist of what might have happened." She finished with a slight frown on her face.
"Maybe we sh-" I started but got cut off.
"There you guys are! Why did you leave so quickly?" I hear Brandon and I turn to see Brandon and Riven running up to us.
"Honey bear, why did you leave so quickly?" He asks her while he wraps his arms around her.
Riven just stood back and glared at me as though Stella dragging me away was my fault.
"I had to tell her something important. Where are the others snookums?" Stella asks
"Bloom, Sky, Layla, and Nabu went to go see shoes, Tecna and Timmy went into a computer store, Anna, Alex and Helia went Uhira-sama and Flora." Brandon replied.
"Okay you guys have fun, I'm gonna go to a music store." I tell them and get up.
I walk over to Riven and take his hand in mine and drag him out. This was not going to be good.
