Chapter 18: Ruins Of Alfea
Sky's POV:
"Where is Flora?" Anna asked us.
I turned to see Stella was looking around puzzled but she was happy even though she was bruised and bleeding. I was surprised we all managed to survive, it seemed like a Christmas miracle. When we had started fighting it seemed like we had no hope, but we turned the situation around and it seems like we won.
"WERE THE HELL IS FLORA?" Anna growled loudly.
"I'm sure she is fine, she was with Bloom." Stella tells her.
"Have you guys seen Flora?" Helia asks walking over with Brandon, Timmy and Musa.
"Schnookums!" Stella exclaimed and flew into Brandon arms knocking him onto the ground.
He laughed and kissed her in return. The four of them looked fine, they were all bleeding and bruised but they too seemed happy. Helia continued to look around and so did Timmy and Musa.
"We are fine, thank you so much for asking." An arrogant voice spoke out.
I turned again and felt a shrieking pain spread through my neck. I stopped and shifted how I was sitting so I could see Bloom, Riven and Tecna walk to where we were seated.
"That's sad." Musa retorted but I could see her eyes sparkle.
Timmy limped his way over to Tecna and hugged her, while Musa and Riven seemed content with just staring at each other. Bloom walked over to me and I could not look away from her amazing cyan colored eyes. She hugged me tight and even though every bone in my body seemed to break with the slightest touch, I hugged her back and kissed her hard.
"Enough, Bloom where is Flora?" Anna asks her impatiently.
We were all seated near the ship which was landed in a small clearing on the grounds of what used to be Alfea. All the other teachers and their second in commands left to go back home, we also realised that do not need a ship to travel from planet to planet. Only Alex and Anna were outside with us at the moment.
We were all beaten down, tired and shedding sweat and blood like dogs shed fur. Seven out of the twelve slayers were apparently dead, we tried to capture them live but things got out of hand. We could not be certain because they turned to dust but Anna explained that that is how people from her world die. No body gets left behind. The others were missing, they disappeared when the seventh died.
"I thought Flora was with Stella and Sky" Bloom replied slightly confused.
"What?" Anna's voice was like a whip.
Everyone seemed a little worried now. I tried to recollect everything that happened since we had arrived here.
When we landed in Alfea and the doors opened, none of us were ready for the sight that we saw. The great school was in rumbles, the slayers were seated around like they were relaxing in a park, and they were throwing rocks at each other and laughing. There were twelve of them in total, six boys and six girls and they looked exactly like how the girls had described them. Stella let out a scream in fury and this caught there attention, they all looked up.
"OMG! Finally you're here! Do you know how long we waited?" a red haired girl with pink streaks in the group called out.
"That is Sabrina." Alex whispered from behind us.
"The paladins trained you? Really? Do you seriously think that it might help you?" A pink haired girl asked.
"That is her sister, Zafrina." Alex continues.
"You have so much faith in the paladins. They will just watch you die." A brown haired man speaks up.
I had seen him before at least he seemed familiar to me.
"Is that Jake?" Bloom asks quietly so only I could hear her.
I turn and look at her and she was focused on the enemies in front of us with determination in her eyes. I felt hope and joy spread through me. I loved her for so many reasons, especially for her determination when times were tough.
"That is Jake and the blonde girl next to him is his wife, Evelyn." Alex continued.
I heard a whimpering noise and slowly turned so that I could see were the noise came from. Flora stood behind Alex and covered her mouth, she looked pale and horrified. I looked away immediately towards the slayers. I had never seen Flora look like that.
"The grey haired man near Evelyn is Ferrous he is married to the black haired girl, Carla, the two long white haired folk are siblings, James and Jamie. James is married to the green haired girl, Bella. Derek is the green haired male and he is her cousin. The one with the Mohawk is Leo and Saji is the bald man." Alex finishes off.
"Now that you know all our names would you mind getting out of the flying machine and dying brutally." James asked eerie voice.
"Guys let's go!" I commanded and we all jumped out of the ship.
The ship was not that far off from the ground but the impact sent a shock through my bones. I saw that all the other specialists also had jumped down with me.
"Winx PALLADIX!" I heard Bloom shout from the ship.
The winx flew out of the ship in their Bloomix transformations and were floating above us.
"Palladix? Really you have named it palladix? Wow" Zafrina commented with a smirk.
"I didn't know that the paladins were so into butterflies." Her sister snarled.
And that was when all hell broke loose. The Alex and Anna stayed in the ship and watched us fight, they looked grave and serious as though they had just committed the biggest sin but I knew better. They felt guilty because they were not going to help us, even if we were to die.
They had their principles and morals, and I respected that.
The girls flew out and started using their strongest attacks trying to exhaust their bloomix powers fast so that they could achieve their next transformation. I felt the power of my sword run through my hand and I threw my red rod into the air and it fell back down as a huge broad sword. The hilt was wrapped in dark red leather with some kind of carvings on it. The blade itself was six feet long and fifteen inches wide and weighed a tonne, it was made up of light red steel like material. It took all my energy to just pick it up I didn't see how I could fight with it.
I looked at the sword bewildered and I suddenly heard a battle cry a few feet away from me. I look past my ridiculously big blade and saw Sabrina running at full speed towards me. Her hands were outstretched and her fingers were more feline than they were human. I tried to pick up my sword and attack but it was just too heavy and she crashed into me knocking the wind out. I flew back a few metres but I did not loosen my grip on my sword therefore my sword flew with me and when I landed the it was heavy by my side.
What are you doing?
I heard a voice speak, I looked around and I saw Sabrina running towards me again.
Use me as a shield.
The same voice spoke again. My palm felt warm as though it was gaining energy and sending it to the rest of my body and I looked down and my broad blade.
I stood up slowly and tried my best to pick up my blade. I only managed to succeed in placing it as a barrier between that crazy chick and me at the last second, I braced myself. And when she crashed into it, she flew back hard and I felt minimal recoil.
Good. Now you're getting the hang of it. Keep going.
I heard the same voice again. I look at my blade.
"Are you the one talking to me?" I ask the blade knowing that I might be quite stupid doing so.
Did you just realise that?
Wow a blade with an attitude.
"But you're a non-living object." I try to clarify.
You are using the powers of a spirit, I talk through the sword but I was once a living being, so now I fight through non-living objects such as your sword.
It explains.
"SKY!" I hear Bloom scream as she plummets to the ground right next to me.
She hits the ground hard and I run up to her dragging my sword behind me. She was lying on the ground and she looked like a mess.
"Bloom! Are you okay?" I ask her hyperventilating slightly.
How could I get so distracted by my sword that I took my eyes of her? I looked around and I saw that all the girls had fallen away from the slayers ad were writhing on the ground.
"That took eight seconds." Derek murmurs bored.
I could feel my blood boil. I stood up and was about to rush at them with my blade when I felt a pale light coming off Bloom. The light made me feel warm and it gave me energy, like how my sword did.
I looked down to see Bloom rising up into the sky surrounded by and redish orange glow. There were six other such things in the sky and I assumed that was the other winx girls. There was a grey mixed with red, a blue one mixed with a little pink, the next one was silver mixed with a little green, a pink one mixed with green and a white one mixed with a little yellow.
When the light dissipated I saw that the girls were all healed and were in a transformation I had never seen, it looked a little weird, but they were all even more beautiful.
Stella was wearing a short, flowing, white dress with a bright yellow disk shaped design right at the middle of it. The design glowed brightly and seemed to give of rays of light which wrapped itself around her and the dress and her hair was braided down her back.
Tecna's was different compared to Stella's, she was wearing a light green pencil skirt and a green top but it was hard to tell because she was wearing a light silver coloured lab coat over it with a metallic belt around the waist and a silver diamond shaped structure with intricate green designs all over it, placed on the middle of her belt. Her short hair was pointed in all directions
Flora was wearing a pink and green dress where a tree ran through it. The branches of the tree went over her chest and wrapped her arms while the roots went around her waist and all the way down to her knees. The pink and green colour of the dress looked like leaves and flowers but it was hard to tell from this distance. Her hair was tied up in a high ponytail.
Layla wore a light blue dress with shades of pink. The ends of her dress looked like waves against her dark skin. A raindrop was on the middle of her dress and ever time light went through it, it acted like a crystal and formed rainbows over her dress making it look like a beautiful crystal clear lake. Her long dark hair was left open.
Musa's was slightly weird. She wore a light grey balloon like dress which looked like clouds. A red music note was on the centre of it and the tail of the music note wound itself around the dress making it look good. Her long black silky hair was put up in a bun but a few strands hung loose.
Bloom looked absolutely gorgeous. She wore an orange and blue dress. The centre of the dress was blue with an orange dragon on it, the blue spread through the dress slowly turning to light orange at the tips. It looked like a powerful flame exhaled by a dragon. Her hair was tied up with itself and made it look shorter.
They were all bare foot but that was not what was weird. Their wings were what were weird. Bloom had fire as wings, not the sweet ones she had before. This was deadly and vicious. Though it did not look like they were flying, it looked more like they were floating. I could see a faint fire below Bloom and it seemed like she was standing on it.
"This is our real palladix form!" Bloom exclaims.
The slayers look stunned for a minute but they resume their onslaught. The girls fly out in different directions to do what they must. I was so interested in Bloom's transformation that I took my eyes off Sabrina for too long. She claws me across the left side of my face and I can feel my blood overflowing the stinging area. I side step and look around to see Sabrina advance.
I shall show you how to fight with me.
The same voice states and I could feel a familiar power flowing through my body from the sword. I found the strength to pick it up. I looked Sabrina straight in her murderous eyes and the real fight began.
