Chapter 7: Never Again (part 2)
The two have been planning all week. After school, Millie would go with Felix to spend the night with Vanellope who, along with Ralph, would help plan. While planning, Felix excused himself and Ralph so they could go talk in the living room. Ralph gave Felix a questioning glance but before he could speak, Felix spoke. "What did you mean by telling me to think about what I was doing?" He asked. Ralph sighed.
"I know how bad he hurt you in High School and I just didn't want you to go through that same pain again."
Felix smiled and nodded. "I know that you were worried about me. Are you still worried?" He asked a little wary. Ralph scrunched up his nose a little and waved his hand. "Nah, I'm just a little...nervous about you and him. But nothing to bad. You guys're happy together. That's all that matters, right?" Nodding once more, Felix grinned and gave Ralph a small hug. "Thank Ralph."
"No problem. Now come on, the girls are probably taring the kitchen up by now." Laughing, Felix followed Ralph and was equally surprised to see that the two young girls were diligently working on the planning and other things that went along with it.
The time had gone by relatively quick like the nights before. And pretty soon, it was time for Millie to go home for the evening. She said her goodbye's and reassured Felix that her father would say yes to his proposal. Leaving the house, Millie met Thomas outside, got into the car, and left with him to go home. "So, what'd you do today?" Thomas asked while driving. He heard his daughter giggle which made him smile. "Nothing exciting. Same old, same old."
Thomas chuckled and continued to drive home.
Today was the last day of school for winter break and there was only about a week until Christmas eve. Almost everyone, including Millie, couldn't wait. While everyone waited for Christmas to come, she was way more excited for Christmas eve. Seeing her father totally oblivious to her and Felix's little plan. When the final bell rang and school was over, Felix had stopped Millie while she was on her way out of the classroom. "Mil, come here for a second please?" He asked. Millie grinned and skipped over to him.
"Yes sir!" She exclaimed excitedly.
Felix smiled and crouched down to be level with the young girl. "There's been a slight change in plans. On Christmas eve, ask your father to go to the store for something and I'll watch you. While he's at the store, we get all dressed up and wait for him to come home. When he does, you'll stand off to the side, I'll propose, and everything'll hopefully work out like planned. Worst comes to worst, he says no. Which probably won't happen. But if it does, don't be upset. Okay?"
Shaking with anticipation, Millie nodded in a fast motion making Felix smile. "Okay. I'll see you on Christmas eve." Chuckling, Felix sent the young girl on her way, stood to his full height, and walked back over to his desk. He looked down on his desk and saw a little box wrapped in light blue wrapping paper. Felix raised an eyebrow and picked the box up and opened it. There sat three rings with a note at the bottom of the box.
Felix.
Thanks for teaching me how to wrap gift paper. Plese use the rings. One is the proposile ring and the other 2 are weding ringz. Ralph helped me pick them out!
-Millie :)
Sure her grammar and writing could use a little work but it was still a nice thought. Felix smiled at the note and held it loosely in his hands. He then set the note down, grabbed the engagement ring and twirled it around between his fingers for a minute or two before setting it back inside of the box alongside the two wedding rings. Millie was such a sweet little girl. No wonder everyone loved her so much when they first met her.
Felix and Millie had everything all planned out and everything.
When it nears six thirty to seven on Christmas eve, Thomas would go to the store, leaving Millie with Felix, and come home to the two who had everything set up. Dressed in their nice clothes and everything. Once Millie would step out of the way which would leave Felix in the clearing to as Thomas that one special question. If he said yes, Felix would explain to him that they could have the wedding the next day, which was Christmas, and would get married. Felix would then have all of Thomas's and Millie's stuff moved into his house right after the holidays. If Thomas said no...?
Well, not only Felix would be heart broken, but so would poor little Millie. She loved the two when they were together. If they would fight and never ever want to see each other again, she wouldn't have the slightest clue on what she was supposed to do.
Felix shook the thought out of his head and reached for his truck keys. Grabbing various items that he may need to take home over winter break, including the box with the note and rings, Felix headed out the front double doors of the school and walked to his truck. This was going to be a long week...
Millie jumped up and down giddily as Thomas stated that he needed to go to the store. "I'll be back later. I already called Felix so he'll come and watch you for now. You sure you're gonna be okay?" He asked his daughter while hugging her and kissing her forehead. She nodded. Only moments later, there was a soft knock at the apartment door. "That's Felix..." Thomas muttered before going to get the door.
There stood Felix with a not too small yet not too small bag slung across his shoulder. Thomas sighed and tried to avoid eye contact. "Felix." He greeted plainly. Felix smiled and punched Thomas's arm playfully. "Thomas." This made the taller male chuckle. "Nice to see you're in high spirits tonight." Shrugging, Felix asked, "Why wouldn't I be?"
Thomas smiled and gave Felix a soft look. "I dunno. But, make sure Mil stays safe. And...thanks for watching her Felix. Means a lot to me. And her."
Smiling, Felix nodded and almost shoved Thomas all the way down the hallway in the apartment building. "No problem. And take your time. No need to rush. Just...don't be back too late!" He grinned when he heard Thomas chuckle and enter the elevator. In one swift motion, Felix reentered the apartment and locked the door. "Alright, Mil. Go get ready. We need to hurry because I'm sure that he won't be out too long. Let's get to it. Go get your dress on. I'll go change in the bathroom."
Millie nodded, took the red and white dress from Felix, and rushed upstairs to get her dress on.
Felix walked into the bathroom and began to dress in his own outfit. His outfit was a simple, long sleeved black dress shirt, blue tie, and black pants. He knew that Thomas didn't really care about what he wore. But it would just be nice to dress nice for something like this.
Once dressed and out of the bathroom, Felix saw Millie standing in the living room with the biggest grin plastered across her face. Walking over to her, Felix picked her up and held her tight in his arms. "Hey, Felix?" The small voice asked. Felix looked down at the young girl. "Hmm?" He asked. Millie smiled. "When you and dad get married. Will you be my other dad?" The question made Felix's heart melt.
He only smiled a little wider down at Millie and sighed playfully. "Well, what do you think?"
Millie giggled. "Yes?" She hugged Felix tightly making him chuckle. "And you guys'll come live with Ralph, Vanellope, and I." The four year old laughed sweetly at the thought. Their conversation was cut short by the sound of the lock on the door being opened. And in walked Thomas. He had one beg in his hand which was slowly set on the couch when he saw the two standing in the middle of the living room grinning brightly. He only chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "What's with the getup?"
Felix blushed and motioned for Thomas to come over to where he and Millie was.
Thomas walked over to the two and watched as Millie wiggled out of Felix's grasp and out of the way. Once their eyes locked, Felix knew that there really was no turning back now. "Thomas..." Felix said barley above a whisper. Thomas looked a little bit shocked and sad at the same time. Felix quickly closed the distance between their bodies and rested his hand on Thomas's cheek. "I'm so, so sorry, Thomas. I-I can't apologize enough for what I said. To Millie and you. I just...what we went through in High School sort of got to me. And I let it. I shouldn't have...but I did-"
"Felix, stop. Please? I forgive you, okay?"
Smiling gratefully, Felix leaned up closer to be face to face with Thomas. "I love you...more than anything...besides Millie." Felix whispered earning him a fond little laugh. Before they were about to kiss, Felix pulled the ring out and slightly pulled away from Thomas. "That's why I'm doing this." He got down on one knee. Thomas raised an eyebrow. "What the-"
"Thomas. Will you marry me?"
Thomas suddenly saw everything that had happened between him and Felix from their childhood up until now in a mental flashback. From when they first met to when they stopped being friends. Then their graduation to when they met up again. Up until now...and Thomas nearly burst into tears at the memories. He gazed down at Felix, lifted him back onto his feet, and kissed him hard on the lips. Felix melted into the kiss and leaned into Thomas. He placed his hands on Thomas's chest while Thomas kept a firm grip on his waist. They abruptly pulled away and Thomas snatched the ring up, putting it on his ring finger and staring at it in awe before turning his attention back to and almost out of breath Felix. "I love you." He growled reeling Felix back into the passionate kiss.
Millie giggled and bounced over to them. Felix eventually broke apart from Thomas, grinned, and lifted Millie into the air. "Looks like he said yes, huh, Mil?" Nodding, Millie kissed Felix's cheek and hugged him tightly. "Told ya he would." She whispered softly making Felix smile back at her.
Thomas pulled Felix into his arms with Millie and ran his hand up and down his new fiancee's arm. "When's the wedding gonna be?" He asked. Millie grinned. "TOMORROW! It's Christmas and we already have everything planned out!" Looking back at Felix questioningly, Thomas smirked. "You guys already had everything planned out?"
Felix gave a sheepish smile and nodded. "Yes. We do, actually. I was thinking about having Ralph marry us. The girls already have their dresses. And we have to hurry and move you two into my house as soon as possible. Probably within the next couple of days. I just can't believe that you said yes..." Felix teased as he set a wriggling Millie on the ground. Thomas pressed his lips against Felix's once again. Not bothering to even open his eyes when aiming for his lips. Felix squeaked but quickly gave into the romantic action. Thomas suddenly tore his lips away from Felix's.
"Wait. What about the rings?"
Smiling, Felix pulled the two wedding rings out of his pocket and showed them to Thomas. "Already thought of that. Well...Millie did. She told Ralph and he bought them with a little help from the girls. But I think they'll do for now. Don't you?" This was all coming on so fast. But neither cared. They were in love and to them that was all that mattered. Nothing else. Felix them tugged on Thomas's arms a little. "C'mon. You guys can stay over at my house for the night. If you want..."
The two nodded. Millie gathered her things as did Thomas. They gathered as much as they could fit in the car and decided on following Felix back to his house.
When they had finally arrived at Felix's house, Millie ran into Vanellope's room and told her everything. While Thomas got settled in, Felix decided to talk to Ralph. He asked him if he would wed him and Thomas. Ralph excepted gratefully and gave his younger brother a small hug. "Proud of you, Felix. Really am." Letting go of Felix, Ralph noticed that he looked tired. "Why don't you go get some rest?"
Felix nodded and yawned. "Good idea, brother. I am tired. Thanks and goodnight. See you tomorrow." After saying goodnight to Ralph, Felix headed upstairs and softly entered the room and quietly shut the door. He saw Thomas sitting a little bit unnerved on the edge of the bed. Walking over to Thomas, Felix sat closely next to him. "You okay?" He whispered while resting his head on Thomas's shoulder giving his neck a small kiss.
Thomas sighed and slightly shook his head. "Why'd you want me in the first place? I was so mean to you and nearly made you quit on life."
"I want you because I love you. And I told you already that I'm over the whole high school incident. I'm past that and you should be too. If you love someone enough, you sort of forgive them in a sense but never forget what they had done to you. No matter what happens to you or them, you just have to except it as reality and move past it..."
Pinning Felix to the bed, Thomas straddled his waist firmly and grabbed both sides of his soon to be lover's and soon to be husbands face. "I love you." Was all he got out before Felix crashed their lips together heatedly. Just the thought that Thomas didn't want to wait until tomorrow night to do this made Felix as ecstatic as ever. They never done anything this intimate before. Though Thomas did have a lover when he was younger, he and his girlfriend at the time only had sex once. But he and Felix had just recently gotten together mere hours before. But that's besides the point. The point was that they wanted to move fast. Not caring what the consequences were. The two only caring about one another at the moment. Nothing else.
Thomas's eyes were half lidded as his breathing somehow became just as shallow as Felix's was at the moment. Felix placed one hand behind Thomas's head while the other cupped his fiancee's cheek. "I love you too..."
Felix giggled when Thomas pulled him upwards and as close to him as he could. Legs tangled and wide grins, they both laughed and fell back onto the bed in a lust filled daze. Felix let out a breathy moan as Thomas's hands roamed all around his body. Taking his time and slowly pulling each article of clothing off.
It wasn't too late at night. Millie had fallen asleep relatively fast along with Vanellope. Ralph slept soundly in his room. The only two that were still up was Felix and Thomas.
The two laid in bed on their sides staring deeply at one another. Thomas gave his new lover a soft smile and stroked his side while his other hand rested firmly on Felix's chest. Felix had his arms wrapped around Thomas's neck with gently playing with his blonde hair. "That was amazing..." Thomas whispered lovingly making Felix snuggle closer to him. "Mhmm...night, love."
"Night, Felix...I love you."
Those three words made Felix's heart leap with joy. He smiled while closing his eyes. "Love you, too."
Next chapter will be up sometime before Christmas so don't worry. Also, HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
