Sorry for the extremely long hiatus. I never meant for this to happen. I will try not to go several months before updating this fan fiction again. Well, I hope that the wait was worth it, because here's Chapter 12. Enjoy!
Twelve
Gravity carried Phineas downwards towards the street filled with panicked citizens. He spread out his arms as if they were wings and closed his eyes.
Phineas used his powers to curve himself so that he was now gliding ten feet above the street, traveling in the direction opposite of the swarm of people.
Phineas opened his eyes, turned towards city hall and saw that the reason people were running in a panic was because there was a live, fire breathing T-Rex in front of city hall. On the dinosaur's back were Norm and a Hispanic dude who held Dr. D in a net.
Phineas summoned two balls of light and yelled, "Hey, I hate to crash your party, but I've got a city to save!" He threw the two balls of light at the Hispanic guy and Norm. Both fell off the dinosaur (Heinz did too, since he was being carried in a net by the Hispanic guy).
Norm popped back up after hitting the ground, obviously angry as Phineas flew overhead. "Rodrigo, distract Phineas while I go after the mayor," he ordered in his monotone free voice.
"I don't think I can do that," said the Hispanic, whom Phineas assumed to be Rodrigo.
"Why not?" snapped Norm.
"Because Doof escaped from the net," replied Rodrigo.
"WHAT?!" Norm began to berate Rodrigo on how bad of a villain he was.
While that went on, Phineas turned around and flew over to the T-Rex's tail, grabbed it, and channeled his power through the beast.
Less than five seconds later, the dinosaur exploded with globs of peanut butter and Hot Tamales flying everywhere. The skeleton fell on its side, landing in the forest next to City Hall.
"Well that's just great!" said Norm. He turned to Rodrigo. "Time to redeem yourself. Abandon Dr. D. After all, he's only a minor threat. Go back to the museum, get the stupid inator, and bring it back so we can revive the dinosaur again."
"I don't think so," said Heinz. He jumped on Rodrigo's back and pulled him to the ground.
Norm glared at Phineas. You think you're so great," he snarled. "Well, get a load of this.
The robot pulled out a purple and white ray gun.
Phineas blinked, completely unfazed. "What's that supposed to be?"
"Well, let's just say that if I pull the trigger and you get hit by the beam of light that comes out, you suffer from a severe case of amnesia."
The robot aimed the ray gun and pulled the trigger. A purple beam of light shot towards Phineas, who moved his body to avoid getting hit.
Norm tossed the ray gun aside. "I'll do that later," he said. "Besides, I don't need the memory wipe inator to defeat you." Two orbs of light appeared in each of the robot's hands.
Phineas quickly turned around and flew back in the direction in which he had come.
He soon sensed the robot was gaining on him, so Phineas made a sharp right turn. He was now flying above a street lined with tall buildings.
Norm began to throw orbs of light at Phineas, who was now flying along the buildings.
Norm missed every time he threw, causing the orbs to hit the buildings. But the margin of error was closing.
One orb hit the building and the area of impact was so close to Phineas that the force pushed him forward, causing him to lose his balance.
Phineas fell through the air and landed in the parking lot of a now empty Wal-Mart.
Norm landed a few feet in front of the boy and smiled evilly.
Phineas quickly got up and hurled two balls of light at the robot.
Both attacks hit norm, but did absolutely nothing.
Norm laughed evilly. "Fool, I'm practically indestructible," he said. "And I can expand my powers. Observe."
Norm stuck out his right hand, lifted Phineas a few feet in the air using telekinesis, and with that same hand fired a bolt of lightning at his opponent.
Phineas screamed out in pain.
The robot put his left arm on the other side of his right and summoned a large black orb. Norm stopped the lightning, spun around, and flung the orb at Phineas.
The attack blasted Phineas into the Wal-Mart. He flew straight through the front entrance and slammed into shelves holding soda and water about halfway inside the store.
Phineas saw Norm enter through the large gaping hole at the front. He groaned and grabbed his head.
It's gonna be really hard to defeat this robot, thought Phineas. Unless…I expand my powers too!
He spread out his arms and immediately, all of the containers in the room that were holding liquid burst and formed a wave that lifted Phineas ten feet off the ground and carried him straight towards Norm.
