Rescue Mission: Blinky and Pac-Man

Even though he wasn't a strong believer of love at first sight, he was willing to keep an open mind to it. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get her out of his head. It was as if she was that one thing he wanted, no...needed, in his life to complete the circle. Even though Inky had told him countless stories of their childhood together, he never thought he'd actually fall for the young dame.

In the darkness of his subconsciousness, the image of her glowed brightly. Green eyes, sparkling more than normal, and her ghost spectrum shining brighter than the sun.

Her green eyes met his blue for only a moment before she sharply turned away. "You have abandoned me...I thought you of all ghosts would be my brave hero...I thought you loved me-"

The red ghost sprang back into his reality. Taking in his surroundings, he realized the faux Diamond was gone and so was Pac-Man.

"Oh great he got himself captured." He growled.

As he said this, a yellow dot was heading towards him carrying a large crystal green gem. "Okay Blinky, I've made a copy of the Peridot and now we can go after them."

"Where's the real Peridot?" The red ghost asked as he collected himself.

"It's in a...safe place, but what about the Diamond?"

Blinky froze. "You mean the Spooky Hallow Diamond? I have no clue."

"So I guess no one told you that you're the Guardian...Well that's great-"

"What do you mean I'm the Guardian? The Darkness said the same thing...but it might have been another of his mind games..."

Pac-Man shook his head. "Sorry, Blinky, but it's not a mind game. You're the Guardian of the Spooky Hallow Diamond...It came up on the readings as well, but I didn't want to bring it up in front of the others without you knowing first."

"So what does that mean for the Diamond?"

Pac-Man shrugged. "That depends on where it's hiding and only the Guardian of their specified gem knows where their own gem is. Do you have any ideas?"

Blinky rolled his eyes. "I just found out I was supposed to be guarding the stupid thing, how should I know where it is?"

"This is bad, really bad. We are on the hunt for a naturally dark jewel...and you don't know where it is."

"Pretty much."

"Then we need to head over to Spooky Hallow, now!"

"Sire, the Pac-Man and red ghost are approaching with the Peridot." Penelope announced to the menacing dark cloud over head.

"THEY'RE ALIVE!?" He roared. "Go now Penelope and capture the red one and bring him to me alive. I'm going get the whereabouts of that Diamond even if I have to tear his bodiless soul apart with my bear claws. (Ha XD 'bear claws'...yeah...that's a coin in the pun jar)"

"What about the yellow one?" pen asked.

"Kill him for all I care, just get me the ghost!" "Yes sir." Penelope bowed and shifted forms again, but instead of being Winky, she took the form of Pinky. "So not my color, but I can get used to this." She admired her new form before floating away.

"Oh great, Pac-Man and Blinky are going to be in for it when they run into 'me'." Pinky hissed bitterly.

"Wait! Did you say Blinky? He's alive?!" Winky's eyes shined with hope.

"Of course he is, what made you think he was dead?...Again?" Inky asked.

"The Darkness has the Diamond..."

"Oh right."

Pinky shook her head. "We have to explain it later, right now wouldn't be the best time since you-know-what is around..."

The four looked up towards the sky where the ominous cloud hung above them.

"We need to get out of this bubble so we can save Blinky..." Winky murmured.

Inky nodded. "But how? With the Darkness here...and this bubble that zaps you if you touch it, we don't have much of an escaping chance..."

Winky shook her head. "When have you ever known me to give up, even when the odds were against me?"

Inky smiled. "Alright Winks, what's the plan?"

Pale sand from the Oasis turned into dead grass and twisted plants as Blinky and Pac-Man approached Spooky Hallow. As soon as the two reached the metal gates, a pink apparition made an appearance.

"Pinky!" Blinky exclaimed. "I can't believe I'm glad to see you! Where's Inky and Clyde? Have you found Winky? Where's the Darkness so I can finish what I started?"

Pinky rolled her eyes. "Gosh, Blinky. I only just appeared and you're already bombarding me with questions. Everything will be fine the Darkness is just ahead, but Inky and Clyde have been captured!"

Pac-Man narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "But Pinky...that was the plan...You, Inky, and Clyde were supposed to be captured to by us time."

Pinky nodded. "I know, but Inky, Clyde and I were separated. I guess they were captured together than that witch Pen put a barrier around their camp."

"Well that makes things difficult." Blinky muttered.

Pinky smiled. "Luckily ghosts can get through the barrier."

Pac-Man turned his gaze to the dying dark lands. "Well, Blinky it looks like you'll have to be the one to take the Peridot to the Darkness along with the 'real' Diamond."

Pinky's eyes widened. "Real Diamond? You mean the Darkness has a fake?"

Pac-Man nodded. It's was all a trick to set Winky free, but it didn't work, so we're going to try something else."

Blinky gave Pac-Man a dubious look, who in return winked.

"Alright, give me the Peridot Pac-Man, an 'Pinky' and I will be on our way." Blinky demanded, but clearly understood what was going on."

Pinky waited impatiently as the two made the exchange. "Okay, Pinky let's go."

Pinky sighed again. "That's the twelfth time I've tried, I can't teleport out of this thing. Everything I try it gets harder and harder."

"There's gotta be some way around it..." Winky muttered. "Wait. This bubble is mobile, that how I got all the way up here that jerky witch kicked the studio thing in the air like a ball."

"So if we push one side hard enough it'll fall and pop?" Inky asked.

"Oh sure, if you'd like to receive the shock of your life." Pinky grumbled sarcastically.

"We just have to do it fast..." Winky put in. "We just need the perfect distraction..."

Just as she asked, Pen and Blinky were floating on the scene.

"Blinky..." Winky whispered.

"Awww, how cute..." Pinky purred.

Inky rolled his eyes. "Whatever, come on."

The dark cloud above swooped down to ground level and landed as a bolt, leaving scorched earth and a jovial robot.(A robot who can feel joy? Wow, what's next? XD)

"GREETINGS BLINKY, YOU'VE FINALLY COME TO RECLAIM YOUR PRIZE, HAVE YOU?"

Blinky rolled his eyes. "Whatever Darkness, you and I both know why I'm really here. You want the Peridot, and I can understand that. Just please explain in great detail to the audience what you plan on doing with these gems, and it's yours."

'Roger's' eye color turned from green to red. "IS THAT SO?" The robot shifted back to its original cloudy form. "You may as well know what is going to happen to your precious Pac-World before I destroy it. And what better way to discuss my evil plan than with a long, detailed explanation that will give you enough time to allow your friends to escape or for Pac-Man to barge in on the theory and tear down this whole operation like the cookie eating Pac-person he is. Oh wait, I forgot. You could try to use the plan to reverse everything I've done. Like I'd ever tell you what I was planning." (Darn it Darkness why can't you be like the other villains?!)

Blinky shrugged. "You got one out of three for that one."

"What?" The Darkness growled.

Winky, Inky, Pinky, and Clyde floated next to their leader, each of them slightly charred.

"WHAT?! I TOLD YOU TO SHOCK TO KILL. YOU FOOL!" The cloud thundered.

Lightning struck the ground where the Pinky look alike stood. Springing back and changing back to regular form, Pen landed on her feet. "My overseer, I have not failed you. The barrier has already sealed around the hollow and the countdown has already begun. The Dākurerumu will open in one hour."

"What?!" The ghosts chorused.

The cloud above struck the ground a Patra was left. "Oh do you really think you could foil me? Your Precious yellow hero is long since gone, and thanks Blinky for bringing us both the Diamond and Peridot, it took forever to find both of them."

"What are you talking about?!" Winky growled. "Blinky may do a lot of wrong things but he would never give you the key to the destruction of our world!"

"Oh, my dear naive ghost-child, he would, and has."

Pen snapped her fingers and the green gem was released from Blinky's grasp.

"You see, you have always failed to realize one tiny detail."

Penny giggled. "Silly ghosties never realized that we were always there."

Inky flared at the tiny witch. "Spit it out or this last hour will be a lot shorter for you!"

Pen sighed. "I'm a witch silly, I can perform all kinds of magic even you wouldn't dream up of. It's very obvious isn't it?

It all began way before you ghost even started looking."

Well I don't have much to say but OMGlob. It's most unfortunate what I've done to everyone's favorite characters...HOWEVER! Truths will be told as Penelope tells thaw tale of what happened throughout the ghosts' wild goose chase. Even better there's a gonna be a BOSS ending.

Why did I choose Japanese?

1. It's a pretty awesome language and country(Japan).

2. Namco owns Pac-Man, which is a Japanese corporation who creates epic video games like Dig-Dug and of course Pac-Man.

3. Without them I would have no Pokèmon to watch on Saturday
