Sorry about my extreme lateness, I've been grounded, and I the original document is on my phone XP, lucky me I managed to have this chapter saved onto the website! XD...Until my grounding season was up...and then I started working again...and then my documents saved on my phone were wiped off...Even if it wasn't this chapter it was the outline for the last two...and the first chapter for Winky V.S Blinky...Back to the drawing board I guess...
Anyway, his chapter's title was inspired by the song A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. I love that song XD.
Anywho, it's time for another episode! And this one is loooong. Longer than Untold Stories but it's gonna be awesome!
Sorry about any errors!
Time Stands Still
'The one who journeys from curiosity, will betray the rest. Honorable Angels will fall, as the Darkness rises. The one of Red will save the Royal color, and create ties with the Man of Yellow. Pink, Orange, and Blue have the power to destroy the borders and create the Ultimate'
The rest turned to Pinky who was about to explain her plans.
"Plan all you want ghosts, there is no way you'll be able to stop me now!" The Darkness roared with evil laughter.
Pen cackled. "Say byebye to your Spooky Hallow. And the rest of your doomed world!" Both of them disappeared in wisps of smoke, just before any of the ghosts could answer.
Winky glared at the spot where they'd disappeared, while the rest stared up at the large ominous cloud overhead. "Uh Pinky...whatever you have planned...can it be executed in five minutes?" Inky asked.
Pinky sighed. "Judging by the speed the cloud is growing at...no...By the time we're able to figure out how to break the circle...we'll be lost in that black hole of endless chaos."
"Oh..." Inky mumbled.
Blinky exhaled loudly. "Okay, we're so done for...So confession time, Inky I sold your cat to a witch."
Winky sharply turned to Blinky. "YOU WHAT?!" Inky shook his head. "For the last time Blinky, that was my sister's cat."
"Oh...that's right...Well I hope that won't damage our relationship." He offered her a rare smile that actually wasn't arrogant.
Winky sighed. "There won't be a future relationship, Blinky, if we don't figure out how to stop the Darkness..."
"Wait, are you saying that if we survive, you would agree to being in a relationship with me?!" Blinky asked hopefully.
Winky smiled softly. "Maybe..."
Pinky giggled lightly before turning serious. "Which is why we need to venture into the hole and demolish it from the inside."
Inky looked at Pinky completely shocked. "We need to WHAT?!" Pinky nodded. "I don't see another way to do this...Besides, its way too late to turn back from that plan. Look."
The hole finally managed to crawl its way over. And began its suction towards the ghosts. All around them trees were ripped out of the ground, gravestones were swirling in the air like a toilet bowl flushing, even the gate railings that surrounded the graveyard was tearing out of the ground. The ghosts could barely stand their ground against the strong pull as it pulled closer.
Winky was the first to let go. "No!" Blinky shouted after her. Letting go himself, Blinky was caught in the pull trying to retrieve the purple ghost. "Blinky!" Inky called to his friend. "Pinky what do we do?!" He shouted over the winds. "Let go!" She called back.
Clyde was the first to follow the order, and was swept away into the darkness like Blinky and Winky. "Clyde!" Inky cried out. Pinky groaned. "Inky you have to let go! You have to stop being afraid for once, and just get over it!" Pinky encouraged him.
"Pinky...I...I can't!"
Pinky did her best to slide over to the blue ghost. "Inky, you don't have a choice! When the center of that things reigns down on us, we'll be ripped apart if we try to resist it! You have to trust me and let go!"
The blue ghost sighed. "Pinky, I can't leave you."
"I know, Inky. Just release your orbital on the ground...and come with me...You'll be fine, I promise..." Pinky whispered before the dark abyss above could take them.
Winky fell from the sky and landed hard on the ground. "Ow..." Second to fall was Blinky, who landed right on her back, knocking the air out of her. "Double ow..." She moaned.
"Sorry, love." Blinky muttered as he rolled off of her. "Are you okay?" Winky tried to right herself, when Clyde fell from the sky and landed right on the smaller ghost. "Nope..." Winky replied from beneath the orange ghost.
"Sorry Winky. Let me..." The orange ghost attempted to right himself, when he came to an upsetting conclusion. "I can't float..."
Blinky was about to snap at the ghost when he realized this too. "Neither can I...Winky can you-"
Clyde was lifted off of Winky, and the purple ghost was free. "I could not move..." She mumbled as she took in their surroundings.
It looked like the same Spooky Hallow they just left, with the exception of no one screaming in fear, or being sucked away into a black hole. "Well that's weird..." Winky muttered.
"Yeah, why can you float?" Blinky asked bitterly.
Winky turned and noticed her friends had not left from the ground. "I don't know but..." She assisted them by opening her orbit circle. "Does that help?"
Clyde and Blinky nodded. "Much better." Blinky chirped. "But where's Pinky and Inky?" Clyde asked.
The three looked around for the two missing ghosts.
Winky turned to Blinky worry spread across her face. "You don't think they got sent to a different location do you?"
Blinky shook his head. "No way, they were right behind us, right?"
Clyde shook his head. "Inky and Pinky were still on the ground when I left." Winky felt herself shiver from fear. "Blinky what if they're not here in the Hallow?"
Blinky never answered for a white flake fell from the sky and landed right on his head. "What the-" Soon more flakes fell one after another, then the entire blanket fell in their wake. Witches stopped their chaotic laughter and stood still watching the snow.
"It's snowing? In the Hallow?" Winky asked no one.
But just as everything seemed okay, the witches began melting from the frozen precipitation. The trio yelped in fright. "Snow that melts witches!" Winky squealed.
"We need to get out of here before the sky decides to rain vacuums, or worse...ghost-eating Pac-Mans!" Blinky ordered as he dashed away from the scene, with Winky and Clyde trailing after him.
Finally the trio stopped only to run into more snow. "Why is it snowing so much I the Hallow?" Blinky growled.
Winky tried to suppress her shudder as she answered. "Because we aren't in the Hallow..."
The elder ghosts looked towards the youngest only to find she was right; even worse, right in front of them was the furry behemoth named Woofa. Only right now, Woofa wasn't as big as he always was, now he was a sixty foot monster.
Woofa laughed happily, and reached down for the ghosts. "SCRAM!" Blinky shouted. Splitting up, the three managed to barely miss the furry beast's clutch. Woofa gave a confused grunt and chased after the trio.
Inky and Pinky landed side-by-side in the Oasis desert. "Ow...I think I ruptured my orbital..." the blue ghost muttered. Pinky coughed up sand as she sat up. "Inky?" she murmured.
The blue ghost rushed to a floating position to assist his friend. "Pinky? Are you okay?" he asked his voice shaking with concern. The pink ghost slowly rose up to a floating position next to her friend. "Yeah...I'm fine..."
Just as she said the word, a giant pyramid plummeted from the sky centimeters from where they were. Inky and Pinky held each other tightly in fright, looking up simultaneously at the sky. "Where did that come from?" Inky asked.
Before Pinky could answer, a giant spider wearing a triceratops mask climbed to the peak of the pyramid before jumping down to the ground level behind the two. Spinning around, the apparitions faced a very angered ancient spider. "Uh...Pinky, on a scale of one to ten how screwed are we?"
"Nine and a half." Pinky whispered; but that was before the spider began glowing red. Its patterns began to glow bright, just like his father, Idmon, and he multiplied into ten. "I changed my mind..." Pinky whispered quickly. "That's ten. Ten and three quarters."
The two shook frightfully as the spiders prepared for an attack, when Inky stepped forward. The closest Arachne did the same until the two were face to face. "Hey! We aren't afraid of you!" the blue ghost managed in a straight voice.
"Inky! What are you doing?!" The pink ghost hissed.
"Trying to save our lives!" Inky replied calmly.
"You're going to get yourself killed!"
"Then it's a good thing I'm already dead." The blue ghost glared at the original Arachne. "You're nothing but an illusion. Just placed here for us to fear, right? You couldn't hurt us unless we believed it. I'm right aren't I?"
The spider growled and exploded into sand, his clones followed his reaction until nothing but sand piles surrounded the two ghosts.
Pinky's eyes widened, her expression full of astonishment. "Inky...what? How?" Inky chuckled lightly before swimming over to Pinky. "Yeah I know, I guess Pen's story wasn't completely useless." "What do you mean? Her whole story was a lie..."
"Not all of it," he began to explain. "You see, in a way she told us what to expect here in the Dark Realm. The chaos only increases by fear. Anything here isn't real, it's just what the Darkness wants us to believe, it's what he wants us to be. Afraid. The thing feeds off of our fear."
"You got all of that from her story?" Pinky asked still in shock. Inky shrugged. "More or less..."
Pinky smiled. "You know how brilliant you are right?" she whispered edging closer to the blue ghost. Inky turned bright pink. "Oh, I didn't do anything really...I'm just trying to get you- uh- us out of here to stop the Darkness..." Pinky nuzzled him lightly and pulled the blue ghost closer to her. "No, you were amazing. Inky, that was the bravest thing someone has done for me...Thank you."
The lone trio didn't dare move from their hiding spot. The giant abominable creature sadly looked as he looked for the ghosts.
"Why are we hiding, Blinky? Woofa is friendly!" Clyde whispered. Blinky peered from behind the needle of the snow covered pines. "Yeah, well now he's an one hundred foot tall friendly beast. And I don't think I want to be playfully ripped to peices."
Winky giggled. "I hear you on that."
Blinky finally turned back to the group and nodded. "Coast is clear. And I have a plan...it's a little nuts, but it'll work."
Clyde and Winky exchanged looks before nodding in agreement. "Alright here it is-" Blinky was cut off by a massive quake that knocked over the tree that provided them shelter. The giant furry beast clapped happily and reached down to grab the ghosts.
The boys quickly parted, but Winky was petrified in her spot. A giant blue hand grabbed her and brought up to Woofa's face. "Woofa is glad he found friends. Woofa was worried." Winky afraid but decided not to act on it. "Yeah, Woofa. You found us...now let us go so we can find the Darkness and destroy his Cloudiness."
Woofa grunted and shook his head. "Friends will not find Darkness. Darkness lock Woofa in cage."
"What cage, Woofa?" Winky asked looking around. She stopped when she saw her and Woofa reflected in an invisible force field. "How didn't we notice that?"
"Woofa tried braking cage, but Darkness get upset and spray Woofa." Winky made a face. "Isn't that something you'd do to a cat?"
"Woofa don't know. Woofa tell ghost to hide! Darkness come back!"
The giant yeti let Winky go, allowing her to breath before floating back down the ground level where Clyde and Blinky waited for her return. "Winky, the Darkness!" Clyde exclaimed.
"Yeah, I know, just don't know what to do yet." The three prepared for a stand-off, but nothing happened. Seconds turned to moments then minutes.
"Okay...Where is-" Blinky was cut off when the sun moved away from the sky and the cage dimmed to darkness. "What the-" The 'sky' was removed and a giant delicate hand reached down for the ghosts. This hand was bigger than fifty Woofa giants combined.
Unable to move, the ghosts were grabbed and taken from their spots. Within the clasp of the hand, Winky had to withdraw her orbit so the trio could move. This time, all three lost their ghostly abilities and dropped into the palm of the unknown creature. Finally light revealed itself to the three, their surroundings very unfamiliar to them. Even worse, the creature that picked them up was in Pac-Person. (A/N: original word would be inhuman)
A head that sat on a long neck was connected to a body as of they were segments. Legs and arms connected to the body, but not as close as a Pac-Person's would. The creature was wearing a strange shirt, pants, AND shoes. (A/N: In every game, drawing, show, etc. I've seen/played, the Pac-People never wear all three garments at the same time)
"Hello, ghosties," a feminine voice greeted them. "Do you like my world so far?"
Winky wasn't paying much attention to her words, only noticing a strangely familiar gemmed necklace.
Inky and Pinky stayed close together as the ventured through the sandy terrain of Mirage Oasis. Whether because they were afraid of another attack or for intimacy reasons; either way, they still stuck together through the humid climate. Soon the fox sphinx of the Oasis Palace came into view; however it was a little different...
The sphinx impatiently dug it's huge paws in the sand, nearly burying the hippo sculpture next to it. "Uh...was that sphinx always like that?" Inky asked.
Pinky playfully rolled her eyes. "No silly, it's another trick. Maybe it can help us find Blinky, Winky, and Clyde." Pinky calmly approached the oversized dog. "Hello there Mr. Sphinx. We were wondering if you can help us out."
The Sphinx stopped digging and sniffed Pinky suspiciously. "I am Sphnix, Guardian of the Temple. Your quest is not to be fulfilled until I have finished mine. I am currently working, do not interrupt!"
Pinky coughed as the Sphinx began digging again. Inky floated to her side. "Let me try." He cleared his throat and spoke clearly. "Excuse me...uh Sphinx, dude can you stop digging for a sec and listen?!"
The Sphinx growled and rounded on Inky. "I have an important mission, Knight of Blue of the Royal color! It is impertinent that I complete my task! Princess Patra asked me of this task personally!"
"Maybe we can help, we are friends of Patra's." Pinky added. The Sphinx snorted. "Knight of Pink of the Royal color, you cannot perform your task until I find mine."
Inky frowned. "What do you mean?" "And why do you call us knights of the...'Royal Color?"
The Sphinx dropped to its haunches. "My quest is to find the Jewels of Pac-World...however I do not know where they are or what current state they are in." He silenced the two with a wave of his paw. "Princess Patra is fully aware that the gems have been changed. It is my duty to find them. However it is your duty to combine them and present them to the Royal Color."
"What...or who is this Royal Color?" Inky asked. "You do not know? She is of your ghost-kin." Sphinx said matter-of-factly.
"You don't mean..." Inky turned to Pinky, who shrugged.
The Sphinx continued. "The Royal Color is the only one of her kind who is not born of forced alignment. Once given the Gems of Power, the Darkness will be defeated and the Honorable Angels will return to restore balance. Princess Patra, Woofa the Yeti of Crystal Cliffs, Roger the Robot of Celebration Ave., Pac-Man the Ghost Eater of Greenwood Grove, and Blinky the Ghost of Spooky Hallow are the current Angels."
"Blinky?!" Pinky and Inky exclaimed.
"Yes, Blinky the Ghost of Spooky Hallow." Sphinx repeated obviously annoyed. "How are we supposed to combine them?" Inky asked.
"You cannot do this without the third Knight of Royal Color!" Sphinx growled. "Where is the Knight of Orange of the Royal Color? Without him you will never figure out how to combine the gems. I have failed the Princess."
"Whoa, chill dude." Inky said calmly. "Clyde is with the Royal Color right now." I hope...
The Sphinx stood back on all fours, its palace Jewel Crest glowing in a blinding light. "Princess Patra's mission must be continued, even though the Royal Color is in trouble."
Pinky glared at Sphinx. "Winky is in trouble and you're gonna go back to digging? What kind of Guardian of the Temple are you?!" Sphinx continued digging. "It is not my duty to protect the Royal Color."
"Then I guess it's ours!" Inky growled. "Wrong again, Knight of Blue-" "She's my sister!" "You cannot distrust the pattern of the prophecy. Even if you tried, the Darkness would probably see it as an attack and your entire world would be destroyed in seconds. Do you want that on your conscious?" Inky grumbled out a no. "Then let The One of Red do as he is meant to."
"Let me guess...Blinky actually plays a bigger part in this than we thought." Pinky groaned. "Indeed Blinky the Ghost of Spooky Hallow, is the sole protector of the Royal Color, as she has chosen." "You mean Winky chose Blinky as her guardian? How?" Inky exclaimed. "And why not me?"
"Why have you chosen Knight of Pink of the Royal Color as a potential mate?" Inky blushed. "I uh...You know..." He looked anywhere but at Pinky, fearing she'd see his embarrassment. (A/N: A little too late don't you think?)
"Well, Inky?" Pinky asked expectingly. Oh great, she wants an answer..."I love her...that's why. And my sister must've chosen Blinky out of love for him."
"Precisely, and only with that pure emotion, that cannot be tainted, the Royal Color will be safe. It is not an emotion she can feel for a family, or a friend, as Princess Patra has explained."
"Where is Patra, anyway?" Pinky asked, while Inky was trying to control his spectrum. "I believe Princess Patra is on a mission of her own, that was not revealed to me."
Pinky nodded. "Okay...So, explain exactly what happens when these gems are found. Or at least what you think they look like."
Sphinx sighed. "Once the gems are found,
"They will be hidden of course, whether they take for in a crown or rings, they will still be the Gems. Only the Royal Color and her knights will know the difference. If you are correct and the Knight of Orange is with the Royal Color, then you must hurry."
Each of the five jewels decorating the necklace gleamed. They were back to their original origin, but if you looked closer each of them had a symbol engraved on their faces from the location of which they were stolen. Greenwood Grove shone bright green, with Pac-Man's stamp. Mirage Oasis shined black with the Pyramid of their desert. Spooky Hallow diamond right in the middle, was a black crystal clear. Crystal Cliffs, on the right, gleamed a dazzling aquamarine with a snowman smiling cheerfully. Last was the Celebration Ave. ruby the cake engravement only half as delicate as the real Celebration Cake.
Pinky looked unsure. "But how can we find them?" "I do not know, but you shouldn't have seperated. If the Darkness has the Jewels of Pac-World, the Royal Color, and the One of Red...It will not only enslave this world and create years or chaos,(A/N: Well what's worse than that?) but also do the same to this one and others until the Universe is covered in Darkness..."
Well that took turn for the worst...Wicked cool...I wonder how this could end...Oh wait I already know XD. Like I said, long, even better is the awesome fact that this chapter was long. Gave me lots of room to explain truthfully...And Pen, she actually helped in a way? Whoa...even more cool is that EVERY character who ever made an appearance will be in the next chapter! That means the toy police are back! Woohoo!
Anyway, in reality, there is only one chapter left...and an epilogue...XP most unfortunate...But the joy will be spread when Winky V.S. Blinky will be spread. And a little preview will be given at the end of the last chapter XD Until next time!
Happy (Early) Halloween!
