*Gasp* THERE'S A NEW CHAPTER OF FMS?! Yeah guys, I finally updated this story. Back in August, I was panicking over starting college in the beginning of September, so I was too distraught to write this. Then college life took over, which prevented me from really working on this story. When I did have the time, I had so much writer's block. I knew where I was going with this chapter, but the details were always awkward to write, so this chapter got re-written about 4 or 5 different times? Anyway, I've been getting a lot of messages on here, Tumblr, and Wattspad about whether or not I would scrap this story. Come on guys, FMS is my life, and I can't let an Iancorn story die like that. So to all my supporters, thank you so much for sticking with this. Also I also wrote an Iancorn one-shot called "Christmas Lights", so check that out whenever you can. Anyway, enjoy the new chapter guys. 3

"Come on Ian, you're so slow," David shouted as he sprinted out of the car. "You know, the turtles here could probably move faster than you now."

"Then maybe I should leave you here and have them make you their bitch." Ian mocked, grabbing a medium-sized backpack from the backseat of his car. The boys were off on an exciting adventure at the Sacramento Zoo. It was a part of Ian's full day plan to distract David from the disaster wedding the other day. Ever since the little food bout from earlier, Ian has noticed David slowly retreating to his old self. He was smiling and laughing more often, which to Ian, beats a moody, depressed Lasercorn any day.

"Ha! You know I could own any of the animals here if I wanted to. Fuck, you'd be my bitch in a second if I tried." David jokingly retorted.

"Yeah, fuck you." Ian flipped David off, as he ran to catch up to him. Ian reached into his pocket for the zoo map, planting his face closely into it. "So… We could either start at the reptile house on the right path, or lemurs on the left." Ian slightly muttered, seemingly distracted.

"Let's see some reptiles, dude." David replied, jogging a few yards ahead, which caught Ian's attention suddenly. Even though it was just a few hours ago, Ian's mind was still on this strange, yet swift attraction, as he would call it, over David. His own body struck with uneasiness, as if it had started caving within itself. His mind traced with the thought of slowly running his hands down his back, caressing and admiring every ounce of skin. The temptation grew to the point where it made Ian feel like a lust-craving slave.

"I think you need to be on a leash if we're actually going places together." David shouted, snapping Ian back into reality.

Pull your shit together Ian… This is insane; you're not attracted to David…

Ian knew that he had to keep his mind off of David and focus on spending the day with his friend. He folded up the map and placed it in his pocket, hoping that his flushed face wasn't too noticeable, and once again ran back to David's side. With how this day was already going, Ian wasn't too sure on how much longer he could resist these strange thoughts and feelings. He could only hope that the trip would either end with their friendship intact, or perhaps cave into temptation, and succeed in exploring every inch of his buddy's body without making things awkward between them.

The first several hours or so consisted of jokes and laughter from the two. Despite his earlier distracted episodes, Ian was able to control whatever urges or images of David that appeared in his mind. Matter of fact, every moment they spent together was full of friendly jokes and horrible comebacks, which they both oddly accepted. They were having a great time just being themselves, and the boys knew that their friendship was real. However, there was something to David that made the zoo trip even more intriguing.

With each exhibit they visited, from the reptiles, to the birds, Ian noticed David with a wide smile plastered on his face. It wasn't like the normal smile he'd give on camera, usually after destroying something in a video game; it was more genuine, more heartwarming than usual. It was like a kid's first time in a huge candy store, or the moment a woman in love notices her mate plopping down on one knee. The way his eyes widened after watching the animals interact and live their lives, or how some of the creatures would stare at the duo or other visitors in awe and confusion, Ian knew that this trip was the perfect solution for his friend.

"I can't believe you managed to scare those flamingos off dude. That death glare of yours is some scary shit." Ian laughed, taking a seat on the bench outside the gift shop they just walked out of.

"Ha, yeah I know. I think the red pandas were immune though. They kept coming towards us, I don't know." David added, sitting down next to Ian, as he plopped down a bunch of bags in front of him.

"Stealing Matt's bitches I see?" They both exploded into laughter, as David could only muster out a solid nod through his hysteria.

"You know Ian…" David spoke well after the laughter died down. "Today's been great, and I don't know, if this was just yesterday I'd probably…"

"Probably what? You can tell me Dave." Ian scooted inches closer to David, placing a hand on his shoulder for comfort and support.

"I would probably be the worst person ever to be around. Imagine me yelling at those animals because they were enjoying their time, or not enjoying this day here with you. Fuck, I would probably hate you for bring me here when I should be off trying to win Jess…" David gulped, looking off into the distance, choking up on his words.

"Listen, today's a new day and you can't let it destroy you right now." Ian interrupted. "I know it's hard losing her, but that's her loss. That David Moss, that Lasercorn, I saw here today, smiling a lot, and scaring the shit out of animals? That's the guy I know, and that's the guy I'm here to help bring back. I'm here for you, bro. You're stuck with me, whether you like it or not." Ian stood up, picking up their bags. "Now you could either come with me and we'll go grab some Chipot' for dinner, or you can sit here thinking about some chick who lost out on the funniest guy I know."

David looked up at Ian, as a smile slowly formed on his face. He knew Ian was going to be there for him, and if there was anyone he was going to cope over Jessica with, it'd be the guy standing before him. David gave a short nod, as he stood up and followed Ian out the zoo and into their car. The ride between there and Chipotle was quiet, as the boys expected it to be. David needed the car ride to think about everything going on in his life, and Ian respected that. It was only after they pulled up to the restaurant where he would finally break his silence.

"Listen Ian, thanks for everything. Dinner's on me tonight."

"Look bro, you don't ha-"

"No, let me make it up to you. I'm not taking no for an answer." David insisted, as the two walked through the doors.

"Alright fine… Just surprise me with what you order, as long as it's a burrito with steak. Oh, and get me some Sprite too." David nodded as he stepped in line. Meanwhile, Ian took a seat at the booth facing the front windows. There was only one thing on his mind at the moment: David. It wasn't the same dirty, lustful thoughts from before, but rather the closeness that the two developed. The way he viewed David was definitely more than a friendship, but not like a brotherly bond. Ian 's mind was like a jigsaw puzzle, and several pieces were nowhere to be found. He couldn't pinpoint his feelings, or what David truly meant to him. Whatever it was, it felt weird, yet somehow right. Ian felt so confused and torn, but maybe in time his problems would all sort out and for once David wouldn't leave his mind in dismay.

"I-Ian..? Is that you?" A voice softly trembled behind him.

Ian knew that voice all too well. It was all too familiar, and while he was just distraught over David, all those troubles and confusing thoughts soon got replaced by feelings of terror and shock. He slowly stood up and turned to face the person in question.

"Long time no see, Mel." Ian stammered, as he forced a fake smile upon his face. Ian had enough to worry about today, and running into his ex-girlfriend was the last thing he needed right now. "Let's move to somewhere a bit more private." Melanie nodded, as the two stepped outside and moved close to his car. As he stood in front of his ex, he felt terrified and nervous; however he was able to hide it very well and appear stable and normal. Melanie, however, was trembling at this point. She was feeling mortified and uneasy from being in his presence.

"So, how have you been?" Melanie said softly.

"Good, good…" Ian replied. There was an awkward silence accompanied by a sudden uneasiness in the air. The former couple looked at each other, both of them unsure of what to say next.

"Look, I'm sorry about what happened to us." Melanie's voice quivered slightly as she spoke. "I miss you, and I've changed."

"I'm sorry Melanie; I just can't trust you anymore. The six years we've been together for is all in the past now. You may have changed, but my decision won't." Ian sighed. He knew this conversation was coming, and he dreaded it. Unfortunately this was something he had to face sooner or later, and getting it out of the way now beats coming across it at an even worse time.

"Please Ian, you know as well as I do that we were perfect for ea-"

"Yeah, were. I can't do this anymore, and as much as I wanted things to turn out differently, we can't change what happened."

"You can't deny that you missed me. Remember the little things we did together? Ian, I really do miss you. Don't do this." There was a slight hint of irritation in her voice as she pleaded with him.

"Mel, you know why I can't do this with you." He maintained his firm stance, for now. There was a part of him that wanted to give in and return to her. He couldn't deny that he still had some feelings for her. An angry part of him wanted to slam her on the car door, and press his lips hungrily to hers. He wanted the pain, the anger, the past to suddenly fade away. He wanted things to be right for him again. Instead, he was a tower barely staying strong, ready to topple over at any moment. He had to go against his temptations for her, and for himself. If only he knew what to do to fight her wishes, to fight his temptations.

"Oh there you are!" A voice called from behind Ian, followed by an arm draping over his shoulder.

"D-David? What are you doing..?" Ian had no clue what was going on, and he could feel his face becoming hot as blood rapidly rushed to his cheeks. He was so confused. What was David doing and why was Ian strangely enjoying this?

"Sorry I took so long babe," David smiled as he leaned into Ian's ear, "Shh, just play along dude." He whispered, as he gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

"Oh, I didn't know you two were dating…" Melanie's voice quavered in both shock and jealousy.

"Well, y-yeah. I was getting to that before… Dave and I are a thing now." Ian paused to wrap his arms around David and rest his head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry we never told you Melanie." David chimed in. "You know how it is. Being in love with a great guy like this." Those words made Ian jump slightly. His face was full of astonishment, as if David truly meant what he had just said. Whatever was going on, it felt right for him. He wanted to continue, not to piss Melanie off, but to experience a possible relationship with a guy he's felt so mentally distraught over throughout the day.

"Oh, i-it's fine guys." Melanie sighed as she glanced over towards Ian. "And I'm sorry about before. I'll talk to you two later." Ian watched as she dropped her head in defeat and walked off deeper into the parking lot. He'd then focus his attention to David, and moved his arms from his waist.

"Sorry 'bout that bro." Ian murmured, as the two made their way inside his car. "You didn't have to do that for me though, so why did you?" Ian asked, refusing to make eye contact with him.

"Look, I knew the whole Melanie story from yesterday was bullshit from the start. Something happened between you two, and it was completely noticeable the moment I stepped out of Chipotle." David began to reply. "You looked like you were going to explode there, so I had to save you the only way I knew how. I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable out there though."

"Hey, if we can do a full on romantic duet, have my crotch behind yours as we jump around trying to win a stupid Kinect game, and twerk all over you with no problems, I'm pretty sure I can handle a little real life Iancorn romance." Ian smirked, starting the car. "But where the fuck are my flowers and chocolate, bitch? You're the worst boyfriend ever!" Ian whined, making fake crying sounds.

David laughed, as he took a sip of his soda. "You're not getting shit until the third date, bro." That earned a silly groan from Ian as they drove off. While the ride was a lot more fun and talkative than before, David felt some tension in the air. There was only one thing on David's mind, and Ian knew exactly what it was. It was obvious that something happened between Ian and Melanie, and it was apparently big enough for Ian to hide from everyone. David wanted answers; no more 'it's nothing's', or 'we're doing fine's'. Just like Ian was there for him, David was there for him.

As Ian pulled up to his garage, David appeared to be distraught. He knew why, and as much as he wanted to avoid this conversation, David deserves to know.

"So, I guess you want answers now, huh." Ian spoke up. David stared into Ian's eyes, as he would do the same.

"No more bullshit answers Ian. I'm not going anywhere if you're going to come up with a shitty excuse about what happened." David ordered. He was being blunt, a part of David that Ian's never seen before. He was completely serious about this, and there was no way out of this. Ian sighed, gritting his teeth in anger and desperation. He wasn't ready to share his what happened, he didn't want to think back on that horrible break up. He wished that David wouldn't hound him so much over the incident, but he could trust David. It was something that Ian needed to share, not only for David's sake, but for his own as well.

"Alright then, I suppose." Ian paused, turning the car off. "I'll tell you everything."

I really hope this chapter was worth the wait. I tried making it special for you guys. The next chapter will detail the backstory of Melian (IanxMelanie), so stick around for that. Also I have less than a month of Winter Break, so I will try to get another chapter or two out for you guys. Of course with my horrible writer's block, I don't know what'll happen. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful winter vacation, and happy holidays. =D
