We sat down and there was a long silence until Jacob reached over and kissed me. After the incident at the shop, he'd been extra possessive. I can't say I minded exactly. That's what I've wanted from him since we met, to feel wanted and protected.

At the store, I had been shopping when I heard a voice call my name. I'd turned just to see a kid from my Geometry class.
"Hey Nai," he said.
"Hi Michael," I replied, uncertain to as why he approached me.
"So I was wondering, that test is gonna be really hard, would you want to study with me?"
"Sorry, I can't, I'm-
"I'm sure you can make time," he said, forcefully grabbing my wrist.
"No Michael, I really can't," I muttered, "Please leave me alone."
His eyes glazed over slightly and he dropped my hand but he didn't leave.
"Is there a problem here?" Jacob asked, making me jump in surprise.
His arms snaked around my waist and I smiled.
"I see," Michael said softly, "Too bad Nai, it would have been better for you to agree."
"Excuse me?" I snapped.
He looked frightened as Jacob stepped forward.
"Nothing," he replied, hurrying out of the store.

I focused back on the kiss and smiled as his tongue slipped between my lips. I played around until he shoved me down on the couch, climbing on top of me. His thumbs rubbed my shoulders as his tongue dominated mine, then his hands slowly slipped down to my hips.
"Jacob," I whispered.
"Yeah?" he asked huskily.
"Can we not go past kissing?"
"Of course, but why?" he asked.
"When we finally have sex I want it to be special, not just some romp," I murmured.
"I know what you mean," he said, "When I think about it, I imagine it going perfect."
"Oh you think about it huh?" I teased.
He blushed and chuckled.
"Of course, don't you?"
It was my turn to blush as I looked away.
"See," he joked, "You're not so innocent."
I bit my lip as I had a mischievous thought enter my head. Before I could think it completely through, I grabbed his rear and rolled my hips against him. He had a really nice butt I instantly realized. He let out a groan and tightened his grip on my hips.
"Nai, if you insist on doing that, we might end up having sex right here," he growled.
I felt him growing slightly against my thigh and turned bright red.
"Fine, just kiss me," I conceded.
It didn't take long for him to give in. Out of reflex, I ran my hands up his back and let my nails trail down gently. He shivered and let out a soft moan.
"Nai," he said warningly.
"Sorry, maybe kissing's not such a good idea," I murmured.
"Why?"
"Because it's affecting me," I said truthfully.
He smirked and kissed me gently before sitting up. I was pulled with and ended up leaning against him.
"I guess it's time to get to the Cullen's," I said.
"Aw do we have to?" he groaned.
"If you want to figure out how to kill Nicholas, then yes," I replied.
Fire set to his eyes as he nodded.
"Let's go."

"So the plan is to use Nai as bait?" Jacob barked angrily.
"We'll be close by," Alice assured him.
"I think the mutt's just scared," Rosalie sneered.
"No, it's called wanting to protect the ones you love, maybe you don't understand," Jacob snapped.
Rosalie let out a soft snarl and Jacob growled in return. It was strange, but hearing him growl kind of turned me on.
I cleared my throat pointedly and asked, "Can we get back on with the plan?"
"She's right, now's not the time for fighting," Carlisle said.
"Thank you."
"So we send Nai out alone in the forest-"
"I'll pretend to be upset, that seems to draw him," I said.
Alice nodded.
"And when his coven comes, we will attack," Alice finished.
"How do we know he won't hurt her in the little amount of time he has?" Jacob asked.
"That's a risk we have to take," I said softly, "Besides, you all will win in the long run so just arrive before he kills me and we're fine."
"He won't lay a finger on you," Jacob promised.
I thanked him and grabbed his hand.
"So when do we do this?"
"Tomorrow would be best," Carlisle said.
I nodded in agreement and Jacob sighed.
"Come on, let's go tell the pack," Jacob said.
I rose and thanked each Cullen.
"I'm very honored you're willing to fight for me," I said before we left.
We climbed in the Volkswagen and drove our way back to the reservation.
"So tomorrow," I sighed.
"Yeah," Jacob replied, "I promise we'll get there before he hurts you."
"It's okay, I trust you all," I said.
We drove in silence until we came upon Sam and Emily's house.
