It was all hustling and bustling about Port Angeles, everyone out doing their Christmas shopping. I had stupidly put Jacob's present off til last and now, Christmas Eve, I was shopping for him.
"Come on," Paul groaned.
"Sorry Paul, I knew you should have let me come alone," I sighed.
"No, it's fine," he said.
While dating Rachel he's become much more patient and forgiving, it's really becoming of him. I smiled as he opened the door for me and I turned in.
"I just have to get two things, then we'll go back home."
I ran up to the jewelry counter and saw it, the perfect watch. It was a black digital watch with a wolf engraved on the black, leather wrist band. I pointed it out to the clerk and she smiled.
"Great choice, this is our only one!" she said enthusiastically.
"Great! I'll take that and that in size ten."
She grinned as I pointed to the plain black ring.
"You got it!" she said.
I quickly paid for the things and turned to see Paul waiting for me at the door. He absolutely refused to go anywhere inside the stores, afraid of running into 'ex's'.
"Okay, we can go," I said.
I looked at the treasures buried in my bag and grinned. I hoped Jacob liked them.
"Throw one to me!" I yelled.
The boys stopped their tiff long enough to throw me a small box. I smiled as I saw it said from Jacob. I felt arms wrap around my waist.
"I hope you enjoy it," he murmured.
I slid the box open and gasped. Inside was a black necklace chain with a wooden engraved wolf inside. It was beautiful and clearly he made it himself, which meant all that more.
"Jacob! Thank you!" I whispered.
I couldn't stop tears from flooding my eyes and I turned, hugging him.
"Whoa, I didn't expect you to cry!" he said.
I wiped at my eyes and smiled.
"Happy tears, don't worry," I replied.
"Good, because I never want to make you cry in sadness," he whispered.
"Oh get a room," Rachel joked.
I laughed and shot her a smile.
"Don't worry, we will," I teased.
The group groaned and I giggled at their reaction.
"Want to put it on?" he asked.
I turned and lifted my hair for him. I shivered slightly as the cold pendant touched my skin. Quickly he finished tying the necklace and I let my hair down, admiring the little wolf on my chest.
"Here Jake, from Nai," someone yelled.
Jacob quickly caught the two gifts and smiled at me.
"They're not as special as what you gave me," I said, feeling slightly upset.
"Anything you get me is special," he promised.
He opened the watch first and I held my breath. A huge smile spread across his face as he saw it and he pulled me into a hug.
"It's perfect!" he said.
"I'm glad you like it," I murmured.
He pulled back and opened the other one. He took a breath and smiled at me again.
"It's beautiful," he said.
He pulled it out and slipped it on his ring finger, making me smile.
"It's not a promise ring, but it's my promise to you that I'll always be with you and never hurt you," I whispered.
It felt like the room was staring at us as he swept me up in his arms and planted a soft kiss on my lips. Warmth spread through my body and I smiled into the kiss.
"Okay Romeo, let her go before she faints," Embry joked.
Laughter spread through out the group and I began to wonder how Bella and dad were fairing. She was spending the day with the Cullens. Dad was with Sue, no surprise there. So everyone was with their loved ones but our family was spread apart.
"Hey, lost you for a moment," Jacob whispered.
"Sorry, I was just thinking."
As I took in the large group in front of me, it made me smile and I realized while they were a bunch of hooligans, I had a family with me right now.
"Ready for dinner?" Emily asked.
"Heck yeah!" Seth cheered.
The boys ran into the kitchen and us girls followed behind.
"They're a bunch of idiots," Leah sighed.
"Yeah, but they're our idiots," I joked.
She shot me a look and said, "Seth's the only one I claim."
"Hey, you can't take the good one!"
A small smile slipped to her face and I grinned, nudging her.
"Come on girls," Emily said, ushering us in.
The boys let the girl eat first, but it didn't take long for the food to be demolished. By the time we were finished cleaning the kitchen, everyone was exhausted and most headed home. Those of us that were left lounged in the living room, watching some Christmas program.
"Ready to head home?" Jacob asked.
I nodded and we got up.
"Thanks for the great dinner and all the gifts guys," Jacob said.
"Yeah, thank you," I agreed.
We gave hugs and left for the night.
"I don't want to go home," I told Jacob honestly.
"Where do you want to go?"
"I don't care, as long as I'm with you," I replied.
He smiled and headed towards the beach. It was silent until he parked, then I jumped out and let out a cheer.
"I love being here," I said happily.
"I know," he replied.
He grabbed a couple blankets out from the car and we made a cot on the sand. I laid back and gazed up at the stars, while he followed my lead.
"It's so beautiful out here," I said.
"Yeah, but not as beautiful as you," he said.
I chuckled.
"I don't ever want to be without you Jacob," I murmured.
His eyes searched mine and he smiled.
"I don't want to either, you're my world Nai," he whispered.
Our lips met in a soft kiss and I ran my hands up his arms. Gently he pushed me down and climbed over me.
"I want to show you just how much I love you," he murmured.
Everything seemed to go in perfect slow motion. Our lips meshed together and our hips rocked in unison. The bliss was so great that I began crying. He stopped mid thrust and cupped my face, obviously worried.
"Why are you crying?"
"Sorry, it just feels so amazing," I replied with a blush.
His face softened and he smiled, kissing me before picking up his previous pace. Pleasure coursed through me until I broke and screamed his name. As I rode out my climax, he joined in release. It was the prefect ending to a perfect night.
