The Breakup pt 2

Leo's POV

"Leo, hold up! We have ta come up with a plan bro!" Raph shouts at me.

"I have a plan. Save my girl."

"What's going on?" A concerned voice pipes up. Donny and Mikey stand a few feet away from me, puzzled expressions plastered on their faces.

"Ta make a long story short, Leo and [Y/N] broke up, Karai now has [Y/N] hostage, and Leo is wantin' ta just go jump in and save 'er without a plan!" Raph exclaims.

"Leo and [Y/N] broke up?" Donny inquires.

"Leo, that sounds like something Raph would do, not you." Mikey comments. I quickly turn around and glare at my three younger brothers.

"I am getting [Y/N] back. With or without your guys help." I growl through clenched teeth. "I messed things up and now I'm going to fix them." My brothers stare at me. I see mixes of confusion, sympathy, and anger in their eyes. Raph looks to Mikey and Donny, who both give him a reassuring nod. He turns to me, gripping his sais as he smirks at me.

"We're right behind ya bro."

Your POV

Pain.

That's the first thing that you think of when you regain consciousness. What had happened to you? You remember the fight you had with… Leo. You remember what happened. What you said…

"Leonardo has ten minutes to come and get you, or I throw your unconscious body into the river." A voice snarls at you. Your eyes are covered by a piece of fabric tied around your head, so you don't see who it is. The sharp, deadly voice identifies your captor as Karai though. She still thinks you're unconscious. For your health, you decide it's better that she continues to believe that. You just hope Leo shows up soon, or you could be dead in the next twenty minutes.

Wait… why would Leo show up? After all that you said to him. You told him that your relationship was over. You broke up with him. Why? Just because you were mad at him? The truth is, you still love him. So much. You want to break into tears and start screaming, but given the scenario you're in, that wasn't the best idea. Slowly but surely, your heart starts to rip in half inside you. You feel empty without Leo. He's your everything. You love him. As he once put it, you're the ying to his yang.

"What is so amazing about you? What makes the turtles fight for you? You are just a girl. A normal, human girl." Karai says. She's right. There was nothing special about you. You want to tell her that Leo won't come for you, to just throw you into the river anyways, but you keep quiet. "No special skills. No unbelievable powers. Not even that beautiful. Why are you so special?"

"Because she is mine." A strong voice booms with such force that you jump a bit. Your heart flutters at the familiar, melodic voice. Leo.

"Leonardo." Karai says, no emotion in her tone.

"She is mine, Karai. She is more amazing than you could ever imagine. She is kind, smart, gentle, patient, loving… so many amazing things. And I know I don't deserve her. Especially after the way I acted today." Leo states. His voice directs towards you now. It sounds shaky and sad, almost like he is about to cry. "I love her though. And I will always come to save her, no matter what. I don't care if she's still mad at me or will hate me for the rest of our lives. I will save her when she's in trouble. She is the most incredible, unbelievably beautiful thing that has ever come into my life. It will be a cold day in hell before I stop loving her."

Your heart takes flight. It almost flies out of your chest from how fast your heart is beating. Leo loves still loves you. He's here to save you! You move your head to the sound of his voice, alerting him and Karai that you're awake. You hear Leo let out an audible sigh and whisper 'thank goodness'.

"Let her go Karai." Leo demands.

"Not so fast Leonardo." Karai purrs. "I kidnapped your little girlfriend here for a purpose. Obviously I shall not release her until my demands are met."

"What do you want?" Leo growls.

"Be sure to scream loudly when I kill you. I would like my father to be able to hear your suffering from the afterlife." You can hear the smirk she's wearing in her voice. You gasp on the inside. She used you as bait so that she could kill Leo to avenge her father.

"Not today Karai." A new voice says. You recognize it as Raph's. Karai draws her weapon and the others take theirs out too. Karai yells before you hear clashing of swords. Suddenly, someone sits you up. The bindings on your eyes fall to the ground as they're cut from around your head. You adjust your eyes and look straight into the face of Donny.

"Are you alright?" He asks you. You just nod as he helps you up. You look over to see Leo, Raph, and Mikey engaged in combat with Karai. Even though she is outnumbered, she seems to be overpowering the turtle brothers. Leo flips over her as she swipes her katana at him. He lands gracefully on his feet before crossing his katana blades to block Karai from bringing her sword down on his face. He lifts his leg and swiftly kicks her in the stomach, sending her flying back and crashing into some crates. Raph and Mikey charge at her. Leo welcomes the break and looks over at you. He grins brightly at the sight of you. He starts over to you quickly.

"Leo, I'm so sorry about what happened. I never meant for – " Before you can even finish your apology, Leo grabs you tightly in his arms and pushes his lips against yours. Your head goes fuzzy and you get light-headed, but you kiss him back. You wrap your arms around his neck tightly, but not tight enough to choke him. For a cold-blooded animal, he feels so warm in your arms. One of his hands makes its way into your hair and forces your face to go as close to his as it can. After about a minute, he pulls his face away from yours. You see a huge smile on his face.

"I love you. So much." He whispers to you. You smile back and laugh a bit.

"I love you too." You say. You hear another crate smash as Karai launches Mikey into one. You caress Leo's face lightly. "Go help your brothers take down Miss Revenge over there."

He smirks. "I'll be right back." He charges off to help his brothers. He heads over to the spot where Mikey was thrown and helps Donny get him out. As soon as they help Mikey, Leo points one of his blades at Karai. "This ends tonight Karai."

"For one of us." She glares at him. He yells and charges at her. Swords clash and your heart does somersaults. You always felt this way when Leo fought. You got very nervous. Leo blocks a hit from her. The force sends Karai back a few feet before getting confronted by Raph. She swings at him, but he uses his sai to trap her blade and send her flying into some nearby trashcans. Karai stands just in time to block Mikey's nunchucks from crashing into her skull. With one smooth movement, Karai twist her sword and tossed Mikey to the side, right into Donny. The brothers fly back, both groaning in pain. Karai suddenly locks eyes with you. She charges at you, fire burning in her eyes. You don't know what else to do, so you run. You run to the end of one of the piers with Karai trailing right behind you. You get to the end and push yourself up against the rail as much as you can. She just slowly walks to you while emitting a dark chuckle. "If I cannot kill Leonardo, the next best thing is his annoying little girlfriend."

"NO!" Leo jumps in front of you, ready to protect you from the crazy ninja woman. "You will not touch her." He snarls.

"Then you die!" Karai yells. She charges at you and Leo. Then, everything happens so fast. Leo pushes you to the side. His push is so hard that it knocks you off the pier. Luckily, you grab onto the side before you go plummeting into the dark water. Leo quickly lies on his back and as soon as Karai is in reach, he kicks her over him, sending her right into the water. The old pier starts to creek and sway. One of your hands slips and the other one threatens to drop you.

"Leo!" You yell. Your second hand lets go. You scream as you fall but you soon realize that someone has a grip on your hand. Leo looks at you with a horrified expression.

"We have to get off this pier, it's falling apart." He pulls you up into his arms and starts to run off of the shaking wood. Pieces start to fall into the water. You look to the end of the stretch to see a dark figure pulling itself up out of the water. You realize that the dripping figure is Karai. She doesn't even seem to be aware that the pier is about to collapse.

"Karai!" You yell at her. "The pier is falling apart! Run!"

"It is you who shall be running!" She thunders, eyes wild with rage. Suddenly, the pier falls apart. As the wood falls into the water, Leo launches you up to the ground. Once you land, you look over the edge and try to help him up. Mikey, Raph, and Donny come to help you save their brother. "AHHH!" Karai wails. You look to the now demolished pier ending to see Karai, buried in the debris, only one of her arms visible. She tries to claw herself out with just one arm, but she doesn't succeed.

"Guys, we have to help her!" You scream and point at her arm in the water. As you continue to help Leo up, Mikey and Raph dive into the water to go help her. With one more pull, you and Donny get Leo up onto the ground. Leo tackles you to the ground, hugging you fiercely.

"I'm so glad you're safe." He whispers to you. That does it. You break down crying in his arms and your sobs echo through the silent night.

"I-I'm so s-s-sorry L-Leo!" You stutter.

"Shhh. It's okay. We're alright. That's all that matters."

"Um, guys." Raph and Mikey climb back over the side with disturbed looks on their faces.

"Did you save her?" You ask.

Silence.

"We couldn't find her. We got down there and all we could find was a lot of blood… and this." Raph states. He pulls out Karai's sword from his belt. "It was floating on the water in all the blood. I… I don't know if she made it." You let out a small gasp and hug Leo tighter. He just sighs and takes the sword from Raph.

"Let's… Let's go home guys. It's been a long day."

After a very long shower, you emerge from the bathroom feeling renewed. You have a comfortable outfit on. Athletic shorts and one of Leo's t-shirts that was way too big on you. You combed your fingers through your wet hair before making your way to the dojo where Leo has been training ever since you guys got back. You could tell he had mixed feelings about the whole Karai thing. You walk in on him beating the life out of a punching bag.

"You okay?" You ask. He stops mid punch and steadies the bag.

He sighs. "I don't know. I feel bad. All she was doing was trying to avenge her father. But I guess something had to be done or she would hunt me down for the rest of my life. So I guess I'm okay. I think I'm mainly relieved." You set a hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay to be sad Leo. You wanted her to turn out different, I know. But she just wasn't going to turn out good. She valued her loyalty to her father more than your generous offer."

"I know." Things become silent between the two of you. You weren't technically together again yet. You guys haven't talked about it and confirmed it. It has to happen sometime though, right?

"So, about us… being over…" You start. You look up to see him eyeing you intently with a small smile on his face. He reaches down and kisses you. When you break apart, he runs a hand through your hair.

"I'm willing to forget about the entire fight and the breaking up thing if you do." He says. "I miss you being my girlfriend."

You smile. "Deal. I miss you being my boyfriend." He pulls you in and hugs you.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

DAWWWW! Love it. :) So cute! I enjoyed writing the action for this chapter. Very intense moment for me. You guys should have seen me. I was screaming at myself as I was writing everything. I'm my own biggest fangirl. :3 JK!

So, I only have three more chapters planned for this story of mine. I'll let you guys know the chapter names...
