As Vomi slept for the first time in her life, she began to experience her first dream as well.
Vomi watched the scene in her dream with a sense of wonder. She had never dreamed before, and the experience was both exciting and unsettling.
She saw herself and man sitting at large table in the lab's kitchen, both of them laughing and joking as they enjoyed each others company
As she watched, Vomi noticed that the man with her seemed familiar somehow, though she couldn't quite place him.
He had a kind face and a warm smile, and he seemed to be enjoying himself as much as she did as odd as that was.
She saw as Gevo served tea to the man in her dream. She felt a sense of happiness as she saw her son exhibit such politeness and graciousness towards him.
Gevo looked down at the man as if waiting for a critique. "Thank you, lad" the man replied, his voice filled with enthusiasm. "Best tea you've made yet."
He beamed with pride as he heard the man compliment his tea-making skills.
Gevo then sat down at the table with the two. He struck up a conversation with the man about one of the creatures Korriban
The man looked at Gevo, intrigued. "K'lor'slugs? Those are some nasty creatures. You don't want to mess with them."
He shrugged. "I don't know, I saw the pictures of them on the Holo-net and found them to be rather adorable."
The man laughed, shaking his head. "Gevo, you would find any creature to be adorable. But trust me, K'lor'slugs are not to be taken lightly."
Gevo nodded, still smiling. "I know, I know. But it's hard not to find them cute with those little claws and that ridiculously oversized mouth they have."
He continued to talk excitedly about petting the animals Korriban. "I have a feeling that the K'lor'slugs might be drawn to me," he said. "As an Android, I emit certain frequencies that animals find appealing. They might come up to me, allowing me to pet them. And they're of no threat to me, I'm far more powerful than they are."
The man nodded, understanding Gevo's reasoning. "That's true, Gevo. You would be much more powerful than any creature on that planet. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't underestimate them.
The man went on explaining. "K'lor'slugs are one of the most dangerous creatures to inhabit those tombs. They sent many Imperial Marines and Sith Acolytes to the force when the Academy was still operational."
Gevo nodded, taking in the man's words. "I understand, but do note I have the power to kill Cell when he regenerated himself."
The man smiled, amused by Gevo's enthusiasm. "Well, if I'm ever allowed to leave the lab, I'll take you to Korriban and we can try to find some K'lor'slugs or Tuk'ata for you to pet. Just be mindful when you meet them.
Gevo's eyes widened with excitement. "Really? You would do that for me?"
The man nodded, placing a hand on Gevo's shoulder. "Of course, Gevo. You deserve to experience the wonders of the galaxy just like anyone else."
Vomi watched the conversation between her son Gevo and the unknown man unfolded in her dream, feeling a sense of warmth and happiness at the sight of them getting along so well.
A genuine smile arched up from her lips as she watched them talk excitedly about their future possible plans for exploring Korriban and encountering its unique wildlife.
Feeling a pang of sadness as her lips contracted back down to her typical frown, Vomi got out of her chair at the kitchen table and walked towards the unknown man who was talking to Gevo.
His face was entirely obscured and his voice was muffled as if he was intentionally hiding his identity.
Vomi looked at him, narrowing her eyes in what could be interpreted as a sense of longing. She couldn't help but wonder who he was and why he was in her dream.
Was he a figment of her subconscious, or did he represent someone from her past or the future?
As she approached the man, she could feel her heart racing with anticipation and anxiety. Vomi opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. She was too afraid to ask him who he was or why he was in her dream.
Instead, she simply stood there, watching as the man continued to talk to Gevo, his identity still a mystery to her. Vomi couldn't shake the feeling that there was something significant about this man, something that she was supposed to understand, but she couldn't quite grasp what it was.
The unknown man turned his head to face Vomi, causing her to freeze like a statue. He said, "Hey babe," before floating out of the chair and wrapped his arms around her waist, and pressed his lips on her's.
Vomi's eyes widened in shock, feeling a chill go down her spine. She could feel emotions flooding through her that she had never felt before, and it both scared and excited her immensely.
As the man kissed her, Vomi found herself kissing him back sloppily, her inexperience with physical intimacy evident.
As the kiss continued, Vomi's mind raced with questions and confusion. Who was this man, and why was he in her dream? Why did she feel such a strong connection to him despite not knowing anything about him?
Despite the questions, Vomi allowed herself to become lost in the moment, savoring the experience of feeling the rush of emotions and sensations that came from the unexpected kiss.
As the man began to pull away, she broke from the kiss, her lips still tingling as she struggled to catch her breath.
She looked up at the man, her blue eyes filled with curiosity as she asked him, "What's your name?"
To her surprise, the man responded, but his words were muffled and indistinct, making it impossible for her to understand him.
Vomi strained to hear him, but it was as if his voice was being deliberately obscured.
The man ended their embrace, slowly beginning to fade away into light. As he began to fade away into particles of light, Vomi felt of desperation and sadness deep in her chest.
"Please don't leave me," she begged, her voice filled with emotion.
But the man didn't respond, and soon he was gone completely, leaving Vomi alone in the dark void of her dream. She felt a coldness and hollowness that she had always had felt, and a feeling of loss and emptiness that made her heart ache.
Vomi wanted nothing more than to feel the rush of emotions and sensations she had experienced during the kiss again, to be held in the man's embrace and to feel his lips on hers once more.
She screamed internally, feeling the despair that was consuming her.
For the first time in her life, Vomi realized that she desperately wanted to feel the emotion that people called love, to experience the connection and warmth that came from being with another person.
She longed for someone to hold her, to kiss her, to make her feel alive and whole.
Vomi punched into the void, screaming out her frustration and anger. She was trapped in a lab, unable to leave or experience anything like love, or experience the things like she had done with the man.
Her life was filled with nothing but research, day in and day out, with no end in sight.
The only companions she had were the android she had rebuilt, Gevo, who she loved like a son, and the medical droid, TX-01.
She was grateful for their presence, but at the same time, it only reminded her of how alone she truly was.
She clenched her fists as she thought about the new arrival at the lab. She had just saved the life of a fallen sith emperor, one who had once been a powerful ruler of the multiverse.
And yet, she couldn't bring herself to regret it.
Vomi knew that her actions would not be appreciated by him. That he would see her as weakling who had chosen the path of compassion.
And the reminder of his grandfather's wrath hanging over her head should he ever discover his grandson is not in fact dead, it just filled her with even more hopelessness.
A figure had shrouded in darkness, its features indistinct and impossible to discern had entered from the void. It seemed to radiate a sense of menace and cruelty, and Vomi instinctively knew that it was not here to bring her comfort.
"You seek love, little one?" the figure hissed, its voice cold and mocking. "You think you are still bound by those pathetic human needs? You are beyond such things now."
Vomi recoiled, feeling a surge of fear and anger rising within her. "Who are you to say what I am or am not bound by?" she spat, her voice trembling. "I may be different from people, but that doesn't mean I don't have feelings and desires."
The figure laughed, a hollow, eerie sound that sent shivers down her spine. "You are a creature of the sciences, Vomi."
It started to belittle her. "Your existence is meant to be cold and empty. You are not capable of feeling love, or any other emotion for that matter."
Vomi refused to fall prey to this figure's verbal attacks. "You're wrong," she insisted, her voice growing stronger with every word.
"I may have been created by science, but that doesn't mean I can't feel anything. I refuse to believe that I am doomed to a life without love or happiness."
Vomi stood in a fighting pose as the spectral figure circled around her, its ghostly presence sending shivers down her spine. She had read about many strange and otherworldly beings in her years as a researcher but this was something else in its own.
The figure paused for a moment, its ethereal eyes fixated on Vomi. It spoke, its voice echoing through the empty chamber. "Tell me, Vomi. Why did you save Alex O'Donnell from death?"
Vomi took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. She knew that the answer to this question could be the key in getting her out of the nightmare or staying in it forever. "I saved him because it was the right thing to do," she replied, her voice steady despite the fear that threatened to consume her.
The figure circled around her once more, its presence growing more intense with each passing moment. "Is that so?" it said, its voice dripping with skepticism. "Or perhaps you have feelings for the man you yourself would never admit to having."
Her heart skipped a beat at the mention of her feelings for Alex O'Donnell. She had always tried to keep her emotions in check, knowing she could not afford to be swayed by her personal desires. But now, faced with the spectral figure's accusation, she found herself struggling to maintain her composure.
"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, her voice betraying her inner turmoil.
The figure let out a cold, hollow laugh. "You can't fool me, Android. I saw the way you looked at him on his throne through the palace holo-cams, the way your heart quickened as you read about his heroics from the Clone Wars."
It jabbed it's spectral finger onto her chest saying. "You have feelings of love for him. And you're delusional enough to think he will have those same feelings for you one day."
Pacing back and forth it went on. "The same man who will lash out at you for saving him, the one who will hate you every day that he is in you lab, and the very same one will end up killing all of you once he has regained his strength."
Vomi stood her ground, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination. "You may think that my feelings for Alex O'Donnell have clouded my judgment, but I assure you that is not the case," she said, her voice strong and unwavering.
Her voice began to rise. "Regardless of what he may think of me, or how I may feel about him, I saved him because in my heart I knew he needed help."
Vomi jabbed her finger onto the figure's chest. "I will help him see that there is still good in him, and bring him to the path of the light."
The spectral figure regarded her with amusement. "And what if he never sees you as anything more than a caretaker, or worse, an enemy?" it asked.
Vomi shrugged. "That doesn't matter to me," she replied. "I don't care if he hates me every day that he lives in my lab. All that matters is that I do my best to be a good friend to him, and help him in any way that I can."
She looked up at figure, her eyes glaring at it. "If he never reciprocates my feelings, that's fine. I just want to make a difference in his life, and help him become the best version of himself."
As the figure's cackling echoed through the air, Vomi felt a cold dread wash over her. She tried to defend herself , but before she could, the figure blasted her with a crimson force lightning that sent her flying across the void.
Vomi writhed on the ground, her body convulsing with agony as the lightning coursed through her. She gritted her teeth, trying to withstand the pain, but it was too much. She cried out, begging for the nightmare to end.
But the figure was not finished. It continued to unleash its god-powered force lightning upon her, taunting her with cruel words.
"You are nothing more than a foolish scientist with the ideals of those who have failed," it spat. "The words you speak are lies, a mask to hide your own weakness and fear."
Her vision began to blur as the pain intensified. She knew she had to do something, anything, to stop the figure. She reached deep within herself, drawing her power, and with a great effort, she summoned the strength to push back against the lightning.
The figure seemed surprised by her sudden resistance, but it did not let up. It continued to attack her with renewed ferocity, determined to break her spirit.
But Vomi was not so easily defeated. She summoned all of her willpower, and with a surge of energy, she blasted the figure with a powerful wave of ki energy, knocking it back and dissipating the lightning.
Gasping for air, Vomi staggered to her feet, her body still trembling from the onslaught. She looked at the figure with a fierce determination, her eyes blazing with anger and defiance.
"I am not weak," she said, her voice shaking with conviction. "I am an Android, and I will not be defeated by the likes of you."
Her heart stopped as the figure revealed its true identity. She had suspected it was a powerful Sith Lord, but she never could have imagined the horror that stood before her now.
The male Sith Pureblood's appearance was terrifying, with his soulless black eyes and red, tattooed skin. Vomi could feel the dark energy emanating from him, and it made her skin crawl.
As he clapped his hands together, the figure spoke in a deep, menacing voice.
"Bravo, Android," he said, his lips curling into a sinister smile. "You have proven yourself worthy of my attention."
Vomi stepped back, her hands in fight pose. She knew she was no match for this entity, but she refused to back down.
"Who are you?" she asked, her voice steady despite the fear that was gnawing at her insides.
The Sith Pureblood chuckled. "Only a select few know who I am." he said.
In a hollow voice he revealed who he was. "I am known as Vitiate, the entity who fused with greatest of the Empire's Sith champions to create the God Emperors. But you may call me Tenebrae."
Vomi glared at the Sith Pureblood, her fists clenched at her sides.
"What do you want with me?" she demanded, her voice shaking with anger and fear.
Tenebrae circled around her, his form flickering as if there were multiples of him. Vomi tried to keep her focus, but it was disorienting, and she stumbled slightly.
"I wanted to meet the Android who saved Alex O'Donnell," Tenebrae said, his voice lacking any emotion.
He continued with a hint of curiosity. "I was intrigued by your actions, and I wanted to know more."
Vomi narrowed her eyes. "Why would you care about my actions?" she asked, suspicion creeping into her voice.
Tenebrae's mouth turned to frown. "Because, you foolish droid, I had left Alex O'Donnell for dead," he then snarled.
He voice began showing signs of a cold, unearthly rage as he continued to talk.
"He was part of a failed fusion, the one that had led the Sith Empire I had built over six millennia to ruination."
His face began to twist in anger, and he pointed his finger directly at Vomi.
"And you are the one who has defied my will by saving him!" His voice boomed over the darkness of the void.
Vomi felt a fire ignite inside her, and she grabbed Tenebrae's hand that was pointing at her and began to twist it with her iron grip. She yelled fiercely.
"Do you think I give a damn about your will?! I'm stronger than you think, Tenebrae, and I'm not afraid of your intimidation tactics! You do not control me!"
She then aggressively lunged forward, pushing her forehead up against Tenebrae's and securing him in an unbreakable headlock.
Vomi continued grinding her forehead against his, her tone turning menacing. She squeezed his hand tighter, making sure he felt every ounce of her strength.
"I'm glad I defied you," she whispered closely in his ear. "I'm glad that I saved Alex O'Donnell."
Vomi stared into his black eyes for a few moments, before finally releasing him and pushing him away with a kick. She took a few steps back, glaring angrily.
"And now that you know I won't bow down to you," she finished with a smirk, "I dare you to try and say another word"
Tenabrae narrowed his eyes as he stared at Vomi. "You have impressed me with your daring," he sneered. "But I'm still going to make you pay for your defiance."
He walked over leaning in closer and grinned wickedly, "I am coming to your lab to finish off Alex O'Donnell soon and you will be forced to watch my every move."
Tenebrae put his mouth next to her ear, whispering in a dark tone.
"I will also kill your beloved Android son Gevo, and you will watch every single part of his dismantling by me as he's still functions."
Tenabrae's voice was cold and menacing as he said this, a promise of reckoning radiating in his cold, black, and soulless eyes.
Vomi trembled with rage at Tenebrae, the demonic Sith entity, who had barged into her dream. This was her fist her first time ever dreaming since being released from the growth pod.
A dream that had been started by her lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of a heartbeat monitor of the man she had saved from being disintegrated by Wolfaunse's Super Thunder Gun.
This night could have special for her, as she would finally started to feel little closer to being human. What could have been a pivotal moment in her life was now a living nightmare.
Vomi felt a deep, cold anger rise within her as tears streamed down her face. She couldn't bear the thought of any harm from Tenebrae coming to Alex O'Donnell, the man whose mysterious hold on her heart she could not rationalize, or her beloved android son Gevo, who she loved like a parent loves a child.
Compounding her sadness was a burning rage that blazed fiercely, a rage whose magnitude and ferocity she had never before experienced.
Her resolve to protect those she loved from Tenebrae surged within her. Vomi was ready to fight.
Vomi didn't hesitate, she powered up, her aura intensifying into a black and red inferno. She braced herself, her clothes billowing in the rage of her energy, and unleashed an almighty uppercut aimed straight for Tenebrae's jaw.
With a thunderous crack, he flew backwards, leaving a trail of red sparks in his wake.
But before Vomi could take any further action, Tenebrae recovered and glared at her with a burning intensity. His voice took on a grave, warning tone.
"How dare you strike a god!"
With that, Tenebrae unleashed a powerful crimson aura, glowing and pulsing with incredible power. His eyes shifted too, going from black to a menacing glowing red. It seemed he was ready to unleash his power and take on Vomi.
She could feel the great force of magneficence emanating from him, and knew her own power was nothing in comparison. She braced herself for the coming onslaught, preparing for the worst.
Vomi gasped for breath as Tenebrae squeezed her throat with the force , the power of it was enough to shatter Phrik. She was losing air fast, her muscles unable to fight back against the supernatural power.
Before she could even comprehend what was happening, a wave of crimson Force lightning arced from Tenebrae's free hand, searing through her body. The pain was unbearable, and Vomi could not help but scream as the electricity surged through her muscles.
Tenebrae held the lightning in place, an unstoppable torrent of energy that mercilessly wracked Vomi's body with excruciating pain.
He kept up his onslaught, a cruel and sadistic pleasure filling his eyes as he revelled in her suffering.
Vomi writhed in agony, the Force lightning burning and searing her until she was on the brink of unconsciousness.
Such was the power of Tenebrae, but he was not do yet. With a sadistic grin, Tenebrae kept punishing Vomi, delighting in her cries of agony.
He lifted her with telekinesis and slammed her onto the ground with an echoing thud, disregarding her pleas for mercy. Again and again, he flung her body into the ground, reveling in her pain.
Vomi didn't have the strength to fight anymore, and her despairing sobs only fed Tenebrae's malicious pleasure. Despite her tears and cries for help, Tenebrae refused to let up, intent on giving the young android a valuable lesson on the consequences of defiance.
She trembled in fear and pain as Tenebrae finally ended his vicious torture on her.
He looked down at the broken woman as if he was going to spit on her.
"Look at what you've become, Vomi," Tenebrae growled, his glowing crimson eyes flashing in the darkness.
He kneeled down to her locking his eyes with hers. "This is the consequence of your foolishness. I wonder if you have truly learned the valuable lesson that I have imparted onto you."
He grabbed her jaw and forced her to look into his eyes, letting her absorb the horror of his reality. "Have you learned, droid? Have you learned? Answer me!"
Vomi shuddered as Tenebrae's glowing eyes bored into her soul, the existential fear gnawing and consuming her. She forced out a shaky whisper, "This can't be real, I'm going to wake up any minute."
Tenebrae shook his head, a smirk curling on his lips, and he gripped Vomi's bushy auburn hair as he leaned in closer. His breath was hot on her face as he spoke.
"I'm afraid not, my dear. We'll meet again soon, when I come for Alex O'Donnell and your lab colleagues. You'd best prepare yourself, because when I arrive I will kill everyone you love."
Filled with a new resolve, Vomi slowly stood up and met Tenebrae's gaze, her blue eyes burning with a fierce fury.
"I am not afraid of you!" she declared, her voice beginning to rise. "And I won't let you kill the people I love!" She said as she let out an eldritch scream.
Vomi's shrill screams pierced the air her as her body abruptly morphed right before Tenebrae's astonished eyes. Her long, auburn tresses were replaced by a pale pink mane that cascaded down her back.
Her skin turned pink and her features, like her pointed ears and long tail, all seemed to come from a new world. To complete her new look, Vomi wore a black tube top, keeping her black arm sleeves, and white baggy pants that she hadn't possessed moments before.
Tenebrae was in awe of the sudden change. He had never seen such an impressive transformation take place outside of what he had seen with the saiyan Alex O'Donnell.
Before he could ruminate more on this, his eyes widened as he saw Vomi flying towards him at ungodly speeds. She grabbed Tenebrae's face with both hands and gouged her black nails deep into his eyes.
He screamed in anger as Vomi started to thrash his body about wildly, her screeching vocals reverberating through the void. "You will pay for your transgressions!" she shouted.
Vomi unleashed ferociously with a flurry of punishing punches and kicks, sending Tenebrae flying through the air like a ragdoll.
She bellowed a shriek, her eyes blazing with rage, "This is the consequence of interrupting the first dream I have ever had, asshole!!"
She followed up with a punch that could easily crack a planet, and brutally slammed it into his gut.
Inflicting further pain and suffering, Vomi then gave a kick straight to his right arm, her voice echoing with seething anger, "This is the consequence of torturing me, you sick bastard!!!"
With a ferocity Tenebrae had never seen, Vomi shrieked, "This is the consequence, of having the courage to tell me your going to horrifically kill everyone I love!!!!"
Delivering the final blow, she did a chop to Tenebrae's neck that sent him crashing to the floor.
"Tenebrae, how dare you look so unphased by my actions!" she seethed as she brought down her high heels on his crotch with a fury, each thud of impact resonating through the otherwise silent void.
She began stomping faster and harder, her ire growing with every passing second once she noticed the sith entity still hadn't flinched.
"You think you're untouchable, huh? I'm here to tell you that you don't have such a luxury anymore!"
Vomi's rage reached its boiling point as she kneeled on top of Tenebrae pinning him to the ground, unleashing a flurry of head-butts that shook the ground of the void beneath them.
She glared into his glowing red eyes and snarled, "Have you had enough? Have you learned your lesson?"
But Tenebrae just stared back, emotionless and unfazed. The fury that surged through her was like a wildfire, and before he could move, she had already started lashing out at him with her tail, whipping his face with a flurry of blows.
Tenebrae roared with rage, letting out a Force scream that unleashed a torrent of crimson force lightning at Vomi, binding her hands and legs tight with its crackling energy.
The force of it threw her backwards, the glowing restraints searing her flesh with each desperate attempt to break free.
Before she finally succumbed to its power, Vomi looked up into Tenebrae's eyes and growled, "Have you learned the lesson I've imparted upon you?!"
Tenebrae glared at Vomi in disgust as he spoke. "You had no lesson to teach me, droid." he spat. "Your little tirade was foolish, and because of it the death of your loved ones shall be more cruel than you can imagine."
Raising his hands to the void, Tenebrae filled the air with crimson force energy. It began to swirl and roil in the air before becoming tendrils of electric energy that charged the atmosphere with a deep humming sound.
Suddenly, Tenebrae let down a terrible force storm from the sky. Bolts of lightning crashed down around Vomi, each one carrying a searing pain. She screamed in agony as the force of the storm enveloped her.
Unconsciousness quickly enveloped her, and the last thing she heard was Tenebrae's laugh, carrying with it an air murderous intent.
Vomi jolted out of the chair she was sleeping in, almost letting out a scream of agony before she clamped her hand tightly over her mouth, muffling her terror. Her eyes darted to the clock; it read 5:45AM.
In the bed next to her lay Alex O'Donnell, in a state of peaceful repose after his life-saving operation administered hours before.
She closed her eyes and her mind travelled back to the nightmare she had just experienced—a confrontation between her and the sith entity named Tenebrae.
Vomi began to tremble, remembering the torture he had inflicted, of her losing control and attacking him viciously, and of his ultimate threats to kills everyone she loved. The sheer terror that coursed through her veins was palpable.
She began to sob, gripping her head in her hands as she shivered, her fear mounting towards a crescendo. Her thoughts churned of Tenebrae's promise to come to her lab and the death and destruction he would bring to all those around her—all while she stood powerless to stop it.
Vomi felt her body tremble as she realized the full extent of her actions. She had manifested her true form in the face of the Tenebrae, unleashing a powerful and chaotic force that she had been warned would cause her to become too volatile, throwing her into a state of uncontrollable instability.
All at once, she was flooded with remorse, feeling as though she had broken something deep within herself that could never be repaired.
The nightmare which had spurred by her acts was vivid in her mind and felt so alive. It was as if, in that moment, all the pain that she had experienced, a cumulation of the rage and hurt she had felt over the years had come to the surface, that had caused her to lash out at Tenebrae.
Vomi knew the appalling violence she had inflicted on Tenebrae was wrong and never again wanted to inflict that kind of brutality onto another living being ever again. Not even someone as pure evil as the entity she had faced in her nightmare.
Her heart ached as she thought about the blissful part of the dream. The kiss she had shared with the mysterious man she had never seen, yet somehow felt deeply connected to. She remembered how it had felt as he embraced her, his warm and gentle lips pressed against hers.
It had been a feeling both unfamiliar and exhilarating; one she craved to experience again. Tears stung her eyes as she wondered if the man was real, or just a figment of her imagination.
But what if it had all just been a dream? She wondered, a dream that hadn't included a face or a voice or any identifying features of the man. How could she find him if she didn't even know who he was?
Vomi felt a longing deep in her soul, a longing she wasn't sure could ever be filled. Yet, despite the hopelessness of her situation, she couldn't help but cling onto the hope that one day, she'd find the man from her dream, and share one more kiss with him.
Vomi's heart felt like it would burst as her gaze settled nervously on Alex O'Donnnell, lying in the hospital bed. With a trembling voice, she whispered, "Are you…the man from my dream? The one who kissed me…?"
Tears welled up in her eyes and spilled over onto her cheeks. Her chest rose and fell rapidly with her labored breathing, as her chaotic emotions spun out of control within her. She wanted to say something, but for once in her life, words failed her.
Slowly, Vomi's trembling hand reached out and took his in her own. It felt strange and unfamiliar, and it was everything she wanted. She was overwhelmed by a strong ache of yearning, and tried to focus on the feel of his skin against hers.
She wanted to tell him so much, she wanted to express the pent-up feelings that had been welling inside her, but still, her lips stayed sealed. Instead, she squeezed his hand tightly, conveying a silent message of love.
Vomi's fingertips trembled as she let go of Alex's hand, carefully tucking it beneath the sheets of the recovery bed. Still standing, her piercing gaze was capturing the sleeping figure before her.
Vomi knew when he awoke, the man who lay before her would be furious at the face that she had saved him from death.
Alex's infamous sith eyes were sure to spark with rage, his face would contort into pure fury, and when he had found she had failed heal his spinal injury he would no doubt cruelly question her ability as a doctor.
But those reactions were to be expected. What hurt the most was the fact she would never become accustomed to being loved by him, nor having the feelings she held for Alex ever being reciprocated back to her.
Vomi felt a sharp pain creep through her insides, a realization that she would most likely would never find love or be loved. With a heavy sorrow weighing her down, she slowly turned to leave.
Vomi trudged out of the room, her head slowly turning behind her to the still figure of Alex O'Donnell sleeping soundly in the recovery bed.
Her heart heavy with feelings that ran deeper than emotions, she fought hard to resist the unrelenting desire she felt to speak her mind, yet she knew if she were to do so now she would only be met by silence.
Forcing herself to control the turmoil within her, her barely open mouth still quivered as the words lingered forever unsaid on her tongue.
As she steadied herself, she eventually allowed the door to close behind her and tonly the soft clicks of her high heels on the laboratory floor persisted against the tense yet reverent atmosphere.
Her shoulders drooped in despair as the harsh reality of her life came to her in as a thundering wave. For ten long years she had been enslaved by the Red Ribbon Army, unconditionally bound to a life of research and testing.
With not a living soul to share her thoughts with, the bio-android had felt nothing but despair since the day she had been activated.
A single tear slipped down her angelic face, reflecting the unspoken pain she felt inside. Her purpose in life was clear. Research the science, perfect the science, create the science. This was her reality.
A reality she loathed, despised, and wanted out of. She made a silent promise to herself that she would free herself from this hell. She had to, for her own sanity.
