Happy Endings pt 1
"Supper's ready!" You call out to everyone in the lair. You waddle back over to the stove and dish the rice into a huge bowl.
"Something smells good sis!" A cheerful voice chimes up behind you. You turn around and smile at Lauren, one of your three sister-in-laws. She's always reminded you of a pixie. She was small and petite in stature with somewhat pointed features. She had her light auburn hair in a chopped pixie cut and her stormy blue eyes were hidden behind long lashes. She looks to the food you've prepared and groans.
"What? I thought you love it when I make Mexican for dinner." You say as you sit the bowl on the giant table.
"I do, it's just… now I'm going to have to sleep on the couch tonight." She says in a huff and starts helping you set plates out. You look at her in confusion.
"Why?" You ask.
"Let's just say I'm not going to be able to breathe if I sleep next to Mike tonight." She smirks. You both laugh and then your other two sister-in- laws come in to help set up.
"What's so funny?" Audrey asks as she grabs a chip from the bowl on the table.
"Oh nothing." You giggle. "So, how was dress shopping?"
"Great!" Mia smiles and gets down cups from the cabinet. "We found the perfect dress for Abby. It's going to look so nice when her hair is up and she's got a bit of make-up on!"
"Yeah. Case will need much more than a hockey stick to keep boys away from her." Audrey smirks, her dark brown eyes shining mischievously. She pulls her dark hair up so she can continue helping without getting brown locks in everything. Being the tallest of you four, she reaches up to get the nice center piece you wanted to place on the table. Mia pushes the frames of her glasses back a bit before helping you get the enchiladas from the oven. Her dirty blonde hair is back in a braid and her dark green eyes are focusing intently on making sure she doesn't drop the pan of food. She sits them down delicately and then goes to start making Master Splinter's tea and Don's coffee.
"So, is Meg still pretty upset?" Mia asks slowly. You sigh and nod a bit.
"Yeah. She really wanted to go and help Abby pick out her dress. But I think she's more bummed about the, 'I'm half mutant turtle' thing. She told me she really wanted to go help Abby pick out her dress since she would never get to go to a prom of her own." You say sadly. Mia just nods a bit.
"Aw. My poor Meggie." Lauren pouts.
"Abby really wanted her there. But we just didn't see how we could take her with us…" Audrey says.
"I know guys. Don't feel too bad. I'm sure she'll be over it in no time." You say. Just then, three speedy flashes zoom through the kitchen.
"Was Daddy right? Is Aunt [Y/N] really making enchiladas?" An excited voice asks. You look down to see three small mutant turtles.
"Yes dear. Now give her some space. We can't crowd the baby, remember?" Mia chides her 6-year-old daughter, Dani, short for Danielle.
"Is Yoshi okay, Mama?" A small voice asks you. You see your 7-year-old daughter, Kimi, looking up at you in worry. She has a beautiful color of green skin that is exactly like Leo's only a bit lighter. Her small plastron and shell fit around her figure while her [H/C] hair is up in a ponytail with her bangs hanging in her face, almost covering up all of her light blue mask. You smile gently and cup her face with one of your hands while your other hand sits on your extended stomach.
"Yoshi is fine, baby." You smile. She sighs in relief and then turns to give Dani a stern glance.
"Careful Dani, you almost ran over Yoshi!" She says.
"You were running too!" Spencer, Lauren's 7-year-old boy, chimes in. They start bickering back and forth until Master Splinter walks in a few seconds later. They all stop, face him, and bow.
"Good evening Grandpa." They chorus. Master Splinter smiles.
"Good evening children." He says. "Come sit at the table, it is time to eat." They obey and get up in their chairs.
"Where are the guys?" Audrey asks.
"I'll go look for them. I need to check up on Meg anyways." You say. You waddle out of the kitchen and head for your teenage daughter's room. On the way, you pass your room and smile when you see Leo meditating in the middle of the floor. You make a detour and head in the room. "What are you doing, Fearless?" His eye ridges furrow a bit, letting you know something is wrong. "Okay, what's up?"
"What's wrong with Meg?" He finally says. "She's been shut up in her room all day. She won't even let me in so we can talk about it." He opens his eyes and looks up at you.
"She's just sad that she couldn't go dress shopping with Abby today." You say.
"Dress shopping?" He asks in confusion.
"Yeah. Abby's junior prom is coming up in a week and a half. She and Meg wanted to go shopping together, but Meg can't…" You say.
"Oh…" He says.
"But don't worry. I'm going to talk to her now." You say. Just then, you feel Yoshi kick hard inside of you, knocking your breath away for a second. Leo jumps up and runs to you.
"Are you okay? Is everything alright?" He asks frantically. As soon as you get your breath back, you giggle and smile at him.
"I'm fine, Leo. It's just your son is one tough kicker. He kicks harder than Meg and Kimi did." You laugh. He smiles and sets a hand on your stomach. As soon as Leo's hand is on you, Yoshi goes still. You smile a bit. Lately, the little turtle has kept you up all night with his constant kicking. But a few nights ago, you and Leo found this little trick. So now, you sleep flat on your back while Leo keeps a hand on your stomach the entire night. "Uh huh. Little stinker. He's going to be such a daddy's boy." Leo laughs and you feel Yoshi stir around a bit to the sound of his daddy's laugh. You look back up from your stomach but immediately Leo captures you in a kiss. He pulls away after a while and sets his forehead on yours.
"How did I ever get so lucky?" He whispers to you. You just smile a bit.
"Oh it wasn't luck. You're just too irresistible." You grin.
"I know that." Leo chuckles. You playfully hit him and roll your eyes.
"Go get your brothers. Dinners ready." You say. "I'm going to talk to Meg." You get up and waddle away, heading towards your teenage daughter's room. You knock on the door slightly.
"What?" A small voice says.
"Meg, it's me. Let me in dear." You say. There is silence for a few minutes before she opens the door. Meg has taken her white mask off and you see her eyes are blood-shot red from crying.
"What is it?" She asks as she walks back to her bed and sits. You enter, closing the door behind you and walk over to sit by her. Meg plays with her mask in her hand while sniffling back tears.
"Well, dinner's ready. I made enchiladas. But I also came to see what's wrong." You wrap your arms around her.
"Nothing's wrong." Meg claims. You smirk.
"Ya know, I think you inherited that trait from your father. He never tells me when anything is wrong either, but I've learned to look for signs." You smile. "He scrunches his eye ridges together, and pushes his mouth into a flat line. And his voice doesn't sound right when he's sad. It sounds flat. Luckily for me, you inherited those habits too." Her eye ridges push together at this.
"No I haven't." She mutters. You roll your eyes.
"Oh, and lets not forget your stubbornness." You chuckle. "I'm convinced you got it from your father, but he says that's an Uncle Raph trait."
This coaxes a small smile out of your girl. She sighs. "I just wish I could have gone with Abby today." Meg says.
"I know dear, but you know how difficult that would have been. I'm sure she'll come by and tell you all about it."
"It's not the same!" Meg suddenly yells. You stare at her for a second.
"This isn't just about the shopping, is it Megami?" You scold her. She sighs for a second. She rubs her chocolate-brown eyes with her light green hand.
"Why can't I be human? Like you and Abby? You guys are beautiful. I'm just… an ugly mutant." She whispers. A tear starts to swell up in your eye. You wrap her in your arms, letting her cry on your shoulder.
"Meg, my love. You are beautiful. You are so beautiful. It breaks my heart that you think like that." You pull her away and make her look in your eyes. "Beauty is only skin deep dear."
"Mom, if you haven't noticed, my skin is green." Meg replies.
You chuckle a bit. "Love, that means it's what's on the inside that makes you beautiful. You are an amazing girl. You are strong, kind and caring, funny, smart. You are beautiful Megami."
"You're just saying that because you're my mom." Meg says. There's a knock on the door.
"Hey Meggie!" Abby says as she walks into the room. She sees Meg crying and she stops. "Meggie, what's wrong?"
You kiss Meg's head. "I think you are gorgeous dear. And so do all of your friends and family. Don't tell him I said this, but your dad thinks you are the most beautiful girl in the world. More beautiful than me. And so do I love." You stand and walk out the door to let the two best friends talk. You meet your family in the kitchen and sit down by Leo.
"Is she okay?" He asks you, grabbing your hand under the table.
"She will be. Abby is in there talking to her now." You grin at him. "She'll be okay." Audrey and Mia start passing out the food and everyone starts to eat.
"This is great sis! I love Mexican!" Mikey says to you. Lauren gives you a look that says 'Yeah, thanks so much'.
"You're welcome Mikey!" You grin. Abby and Meg walk into the room, arms around each other and laughing and smiling.
"There still some food left over?" Abby asked.
"Of course there is girls!" You say as you get up to go get more plates. Suddenly there is a very sharp pain in your stomach. You drop the plates and grab your stomach, starting to scream. Leo is suddenly by your side, helping you stand up. You look up at Leo while panting heavily. "It's time!"
"Time?" Leo panicked. You see the panicked faces of your two daughters as they rush to your side.
"Donny!" You scream.
"Leo, get her into the lab! She's in labor!" Donny says, while running to the lab and setting things up. Leo picks you up and sprints to the lab, following Donny. Just as he gets you in there, your water breaks.
"Okay, [Y/N], start breathing. Here we go." Donny says.
Okay, obviously this is part 1 of a 2 or 3 parter. I haven't decided how many parts yet.
How do you guys like yours and Leo's kids? I think it would be funny to give Leo a daughter who acts like Raph. XD Just when Leo thinks he gets away from Raph's attitude as an adult, he has a girl just like him. And girls are so much worse than boys. :D
I feel bad for Leo. He's afraid to talk to Meg. I bet he thinks having a "feelings" conversation with his daughter is worse than fighting the Shredder!
