I don't own Danny Phantom.
The first thing Lancer saw when he woke up was a white ceiling. Was the entire thing with Dani, Danny, and the Wisconsin Ghost a dream? He sat up and found that it wasn't. For one thing, his entire body was aching. For another, the room he was in was not his bedroom.
The walls were painted light gray with a black carpet on the floor. He was sitting on the only bed in the room, which, going with the monochrome coloring, was black and white. A dresser and a desk with a computer stood on the opposite side of the room.
He swung his feet over the side and slowly got up.
There was a childish laugh outside of the room. Curious, he opened the door and found himself in a family room by the looks of it.
The walls were painted white while the ceiling and floor were painted black, although the floor had a white shaggy rug on it. There was a black couch and a couple of black beanbag chairs. A white coffee table was across from the couch. The couch was facing a flat screen TV on a white stand.
The laughter was closer now. And it sounded familiar.
"Danielle?" he asked to no one in particular. Lancer walked into a doorway and found himself in a kitchen that was an exact replica of the Fentons' kitchen. Danielle was sitting at the table while Danny was humming and cooking at the stove.
"Hi, Mr. Lancer!" Danielle greeted, waving with a smile on her face.
Danny looked towards his teacher and gave a quick smile, lips not parting.
"Hello, Danielle and Daniel," the teacher said. "Um, am I allowed to ask where we are?"
Danny nodded slightly. "We're at a place that Sam, Tuck, Jazz, Dani, and I use to hang out or just to get away from life."
"How did we get here?"
Danny smirked. "I managed to fend off Plasmius—that's the Wisconsin Ghost—until Danny Phantom arrived. I grabbed you and Dani, since you'd both been knocked out cold by this point and dragged you here."
Lancer folded his arms. "So you kidnapped us?"
The older halfa turned around teeth barred, fangs showing. "Lancer, Vlad Plasmius is one of the most dangerous ghosts out there. And he wants Danielle over there. He wants me too. But mostly he wants revenge on Dani. And since you helped her, he wants revenge on you too. He used his so-called 'pawn' to injure Danielle enough that he thought she would die. But she managed to drag herself to the closest house: your house. You helped her and let her call me. You saved her from dying. He wants her dead. He's now after you! And Danielle. And me. If we stayed there or anywhere else where he would've been able to find us, we'd be dead! I didn't kidnap you. I SAVED YOUR LIFE!"
Danielle and Lancer stared at him.
Danny's now-green eyes narrowed before they faded back to icy blue again. He sighed and put some scrambled eggs on a plate. "Help yourself, Mr. Lancer. I've gotta go talk to someone."
He walked out of the kitchen but stopped at the doorway. "She's allergic to blood blossoms and ectoweapons. Although ectoweapons isn't really an allergy." He shrugged. "Just keep her away from anything made of or uses ectoplasm. Bye."
….
Clockwork didn't even have to turn around to know that Danny had entered his lair. "Hello, Daniel."
Danny grinned and waved. "Hey, Clocky."
The time ghost rolled his eyes at the nickname but smiled. "Let me guess, you're here to ask why you suddenly have fangs?"
Danny laughed. "You don't have to guess. You know everything."
Clockwork smiled. "Follow me, Daniel." He floated over to a side room. Danny followed behind him.
The hybrid noticed a familiar metal thermos on the table. "Dan?" he asked.
His guardian nodded. "Daniel, you may have avoided Dan's timeline but you will still gain some of Dan's looks."
Danny groaned. "I'm not going to have flaming hair am I? Fangs are going to be hard enough to explain."
Clockwork laughed. "Only time will tell, Daniel. But I want to warn you about one thing."
Danny looked up at his ally.
"You can't keep Lancer and Danielle in the Ghost Zone forever," Clockwork said. "Well, actually you can't keep Lancer in the Ghost Zone forever. There are two possible outcomes that I can see. Vlad will find you three. Or he'll threaten Amity Park. Either one, he'll get you out of there."
Danny sighed. "I understand. Speaking of Dani and Mr. Lancer, I've gotta go."
"I'll see you soon, Daniel," Clockwork said as he waved at the hero as he left. When he was gone, Clockwork turned to the screen, viewing an image of Danielle in her human form, battered and bruised, as a large piece of cement fell from the ceiling. "Everything is as it should be."
….
Danny opened the door to the lair and glanced around briefly before walking in entirely. "Dani? Mr. Lancer?"
"In here, Daddy!"
Danny laughed and walked into the family room. Danielle was lying on the ground coloring a picture of Danny Phantom. Lancer was sitting on the couch reading.
"I'm back!" Danny announced.
Danielle grinned and jumped to her feet. "Look, Daddy! Look!" she said, showing him her picture.
Danny grinned and swiped her beanie.
"Hey!" Danielle whined, playfully, jumping up and down to attempt to grab her hat. "Gimme that!"
Her genetic father laughed and held it higher.
Dani grinned and jumped up higher, using her superstrength and grabbed her hat.
"Hey! No fair!" Danny whined.
Danielle laughed and ran out of the room to her bedroom.
Mr. Lancer watched in amusement as the girl successfully got her beanie back. But, in all honesty, was it possible to jump that high?
Danny laughed as he watched her go. "Only you, little halfa," he whispered, low enough that Lancer couldn't hear him. "Only you."
"Daniel?" Mr. Lancer asked, making the teen turn around. "I have a question for you about you and Danielle."
"Shoot," Danny said. "Not literally though."
"Well, when I first met Danielle, you both said that she was your adopted daughter," the teacher started. "Yet yesterday, you said that you share the same DNA. Which one was the truth?"
Danny bit his lip. "That was the little slipup I'd hoped you missed." He sighed. "I'll tell you the truth. But you might not believe me."
"Tell me," Mr. Lancer said.
Danny sat down. "It all started a few months ago…"
