Sahara and Nuko gasped. "So you mean Monjo left his family and didn't turn back to find them himself?" The female cub asked. Kovu chuckled. "No. I mean, he didn't know his way back home, so he decided to tag along with the two cubs he met." The two children nodded. "Oh," Nuko started, "Continue please."
With Monjo's parents, they walked for hours on end and were very tired an thirsty. But this was their son, they were looking for, so their health wasn't of their concern at the time being. As they walked, a strange looking baboon showed up out of no where and offered a type of fruit he called, "Pine Pen Fruit." Ibano and Luana were very skeptical about this unknown fruit. "What kind of fruit did you say it was?" Ibano asked. The baboon replied, "Pine Pen Fruit. Tis very good! Why don't cha' try it!" Ibano and his wife, backed away a step or two. The lion looked to Luana and they shrugged. They each took a bite of the fruit and after a moment, they started to feel very dizzy. Suddenly, Ibano fell to the ground unconscious as well as Luana. The baboon laughed and waved at them, "Good night!" He cackled.
"No.." Kiara emphasized. Kovu looked at her. "Sorry.. This is a interesting stor-" She was interrupted by Sahara, "Mom! shhhh! Let daddy finish the story!" Kovu looked at Kiara and said in a teasing tone, "Yeah, let Daddy finish the story." Kiara laughed and kept quite.
After a while, Ibano woke up to see he was back at Pride Rock with not recollection of what happened or how he got here. But what he did remember was that he needed to find his son and soon. As he stood, a lioness that was a light cream color and purple eyes came up to him. Her name was Shani. "Ibano, are you alright?" She asked with concern in her tone. He looked to her, "Shani, how did Luana and I get back here?" "Well, Uhuma found you two unconscious on the ground and she gathered some lionesses and we got you two back here." Ibano frowned. "We were after our son Monjo, because we haven't seen him around the pride lands. And Uron said he placed our son, somewhere under a bush. We were walking for quite some time till... i dunno.. everything is hazy after that." Shani nodded. "Well, I can gather the others and we can form a search party?" Ibano looked to the ground. "Well.. I not sure about that..." "Ibano, what is you run into Hyenas? You two cant fight them all off alone.." She spoke. Ibano contemplated hard on her thoughts. "Fine... we need to start as soon as possible though. I need to find my son.." He said in a sad determined tone. Shani nodded. "I will speak to the the King and Queen." She said then left. Ibano sighed and looked over to Luana who had been listening the whole time. "We're going to find him, Luana..." Idona came over with Averry. "Any luck?" She asked her father. Ibano looked to the two cubs. "Not yet.. Idona.. Not yet.."
It was getting dark in the pride lands and Sahara and Nuko were getting tired. Sahara was curled up in Kovu's paws and Nuko was curled up next to Kiara. "Night... Daddy..." Sahara said as she drifted off to sleep. Kovu nuzzled his daughter and laid his head down. "Night sweet heart.." He said before nuzzling Kiara as they fell asleep.
