Imagine your OTP going on a date to a drive-in movie theater and, halfway through the movie, climbing in the back seat to make out.
Ryder braked the car, stopping just before he rear-ended the car parked in front of him. Marley reached her hand over and pressed her hand to Ryder's chest, making sure he didn't fly forward like she did. She placed her hand on the dashboard in front of her and let out a sigh.
"Ryder, you got to learn how to control your driving!" Marley shouted, taking her hand from Ryder and unbuckling her seatbelt. "You're going to kill us one day."
Ryder shrugged at her, "It's your fault for not having your license yet." He unbuckled his seatbelt as well and reached his hand over, taking Marley's hands in his.
Marley rolled her eyes at her boyfriend and gave his hand a little shake in between them. "It's actually your fault for telling me I don't need a license because you want to drive me everywhere."
"Good point, Marley Rose. Good point." Ryder laughed and leaned down, giving her cheek a soft kiss, his nose brushing up against the soft skin of her cheek. He pulled away and gazed up through the car's windscreen at the giant screen in front of them. "But honestly, wasn't this a good idea? To see a drive in movie?"
"It sounds like a great idea!" Marley chirped, leaning forward to look up at the screen and then at Ryder. "Even though this date hasn't started yet and like, I've never been to one of these, I think this is going to be a great date."
"If I organized it, then yeah it is." Ryder laughed and fell back in his seat, glancing out the window at the car next to him – where another couple were sitting and talking, just like he and Marley were. Looking just as in love with each other as he and Marley were.
Marley chuckled, "I love you, and you know that, right?"
"Yeah, I know." Ryder gave her hand a squeeze. "I love you, too."
Grinning, Marley looked up at the screen again and saw it start to flicker. She began to hit Ryder's bicep frantically. "Oh, Ryd! The movie's starting! Quick!" She looked up at him and continued to hit his arm, Ryder only laughing at her.
He reached his other hand out and turned on the radio, and it began to play the opening theme to the movie that was playing on the big screen. "Do you even know what movie this is?" Ryder whispered to Marley, raising his eyebrows as she finally stopped hitting him.
Marley shook her head. "No… what movie is this?"
"I don't know, I was asking you." Ryder shrugged at her and fell back in his seat, taking Marley's hand again.
"You're the one who set up this date, you should know, idiot." Marley playfully said, sticking her tongue out to her handsome boyfriend, who gazed over at her and used his left hand to tuck a strand of Marley's hair behind her ear.
"I know, I know." Ryder replied quietly, smiling down at her and hesitantly looking back at the screen, where it read, Groundhog Day in big white letters.
"What?" Marley said, glancing up at the screen and letting out an annoyed grunt. "Why does it have to be Groundhog Day?" Marley whined and leaned forward, hitting her head against the dashboard of Ryder's car. "Why didn't you check what movie it was first? Why couldn't it have been Beaches?"
Ryder looked between Marley and the screen. "Wait – what's… what's wrong with this movie? Why are you so upset?" He watched Marley, still in the same position and still making the same noise – a high pitched whine that echoed throughout the car.
Marley sat back up and gave Ryder a wide-eyed stare. "Have you ever watched this movie before, Ryder?" Marley heard the music playing through the speaker in the car and slammed the mute button as Ryder shook his head at her, stunned. "Okay, well, you don't want to see this movie."
"Why not?" Ryder asked quietly.
"Mom and I watched this movie together and we both hated it. Maybe it was just us two because it got 8.5 stars out of 10 but I hated this movie more than anything in the world." Marley shook her head, her hair flying around the front seat of the car. "I just wish Beaches was on instead." Marley murmured, giving Ryder's hand a squeeze.
"Oh," Ryder sighed. "Well, um, if you get too bored we can, uh, sneak into the back seat and… make-out?"
Marley smiled and leaned forward, pecking Ryder's lips and loosening her grip on his hand between the two of them. She pulled back, her nose still rubbing against Ryder's cheek. "You mind if we sneak back there before the movie starts? So we don't have to put ourselves through the torture of watching this?"
Ryder nodded at her, breathless – it wasn't that often that Marley actually agreed to have a make-out session in the back of their car. She didn't like being so intimate that in public. Especially since she was sounding so sexy.
Marley grinned at Ryder and pulled away, jumping into the backseat and lying down as best as she could, resting her feet against the windows of Ryder's small blue, second-hand car. She was probably too tall to lie down in the car, but she shrugged it off as Ryder came back and sat on top of her, pushing the strand that had fallen out from behind her ear back again, running his finger down the side of her soft cheek.
Marley squirmed underneath Ryder, resting her legs against the foggy window and accidentally hitting her head on the door. Ryder laughed at her and knelt on top of her, putting a leg on either side of hers. "You alright?"
"Yeah, just a bit cramped down here, that's all." Marley laughed and stared up at her boyfriend's brown eyes. Ryder opened his mouth, about to say something, but Marley stopped him. "Don't even try to suggest lying here instead of me, because that'll just be messier than having me down here."
Ryder shrugged and muttered, "Alright, whatever you say," before leaning down and pressing his lips to hers, his nose brushing against her cheek.
Marley laughed into the kiss and brought her hands up to Ryder's shoulders, rubbing her hands over his back and eventually linking her hands on Ryder's neck, pulling him closer to her.
"You're so hot," Ryder whispered, barely pulling away from Marley while he spoke.
"You're so hot, too." Marley mumbled, sticking her tongue out and giving Ryder's lips a quick lick.
Ryder laughed at her and leaned over, giving her neck a few soft kisses along her neck and sighing against her skin. "You don't always get what you want, Marley Rose, but maybe later." Ryder mumbled, slowly kissing downwards until he came to her t-shirt.
"Why not?" Marley let out a deep sigh as Ryder shoved the shoulder of her t-shirt down and Marley brought her hand from his neck and placed it over where her bra strap was. "Ryder Lynn, we're in a public place." Ryder looked at her face, expecting to see Marley's stern look gazing back at him, but instead he saw her eyebrows raised and a smile on her face. He was hoping she was going to let him pull off her bra soon – he could just see that look in her eyes.
Ryder laughed and moved back up slightly, kissing Marley's lips softly. "God, you're so beautiful, Mar."
Marley just smiled at him and leaned up onto her elbow, giving Ryder's nose a soft kiss and then pecking his lips. "I know what you were hinting at before… but do we have time?" Marley asked in a whisper, his lips brushing up against Ryder's as she spoke.
"This movie goes for like, two hours… we have more than enough time, babe." Ryder whispered, moving his head up slightly to stare at the bright screen and watching the main character of the movie telling everyone the weather.
Marley laid back down and pulled his face closer to her, kissing down his jaw as he stared at the seats in front of him, his eyes wide. "You…" Marley took a deep breath and slid her hand down from Ryder's face to his chest. "You've gotta be quiet."
Ryder gasped and turned his face to look at Marley, licking his lips as he turned right into her bright blue eyes. "Deal," he mumbled, leaning down and giving her another kiss on the lips – this time it was rough and quite harsh, and Marley let out a little moan.
He pulled away again and watched her slightly open mouth. "Ready?"
Marley nodded with a smile and slipped her hand down a little further, resting her palm against the top of Ryder's thigh and letting out a quiet sigh. "Ready."
It's been decided - I should never write make-out sessions again. Oh my God, I'm so sorry.
