Please let me know what you think, I have big ideas for this story but this is my first time ever posting anything so if all goes well I will continue it, I'm just testing the waters:)

I of course don't own OUAT or swanqueen would be cannon.

for the sake of the story Marian will be alive, I'm not sure how much magic I will include, we will just have to see how it goes.

Hopeless, Regina felt hopeless. She was meant to be happy, she had Robin, her 'true love'. Everything was going great, he adored her, looked after her, made her feel loved, made her feel like she was enough, like she was good, like she was never The Evil Queen. Yet she still wasn't happy, something was still nagging at her, something was still missing, she didn't feel complete, it didn't feel right. She was nursing her hot chocolate, something she had come a custom to in recent months thanks to a certain blonde. Her and Emma had settled thier differences, for the sake of Henry of course, they'd agreed that they were both his mother and the best thing for Henry would be to raise him together, so to speak, Regina had traded her large mansion in for a smaller three bedroom house next door to Emma's so that Henry didn't have to have a scheduled amount of time with either of them, he could choose who he wanted to see and when, without the fear of hurting either of his mothers, he was very content with the arrangement and had even roped them into doing a 'family' day once a month, just the three of them. Over a small amount of time, family day had become movie night once a week, after school trips to the park twice a week, dinner three times a week, until fencing separting the two homes had been taken down and two households almost merged into one, they has sleepovers, built forts and even spent hours together talking over a few glasses of wine way after Henry had retrated to his bedroom, Henry had a room in both houses however he spent more time at Emmas, which didn't bother Regina as much as you'd think it would, mainly because Regina only crossed the path to her own house to sleep. They were friends, dare she say it, her and Emma Swan, The Saviour, the biggest pain in her ass, were actaully friends. That however didn't explain the way her heart beat three times as fast anytime Emma was close by, it didn't explain the dark magic bubbling inside her everytime she saw the pining pirate touch Emma. It was Emma, Emma was the missing piece.

"Regina"

She was brought out of her thoughts by the very outlaw that she was supose to be head over heels for.

"Is everything okay my love?" Robin looked concerned she must not be able to mask her facial expressions as well as she once could.

"Everythings perfect" she smiles, although it is forced, and shes not sure if he can tell. He seems to have brought it though, he smiles brightly, giving her a small quick kiss before making small talk. Regina however isn't listening, the door to Granny's opens and brown eyes meet green. Regina cannot stop the smile that spreads from ear to ear at the sight of the blonde, Emmas smile is just as bright as hers, however Regina doesn't have time to think too much into it as the pirate comes tumbing in after her.

God she hates this man, Emma could do so much better than him, hell rumplestiltskins son was a better option. Regina looks Emma up and down, shes beautiful, shes was dressed in tight black jeans and the signture red jacket with a blue blouse that Regina is postive belongs to her. I could give her everything, I would give her everything she thinks to herself.

"Gina.."

She is once again brought out of her thoughts by the very person she cannot stop thinking about.

"yes? sorry" she mumbles blushing slightly

"Are you okay? you are in your own little world" Emma strokes her arm gently, it means nothing more than what it is but Regina's heart is racing and her breathing quickens at her touch, this doesn't go unnoticed by Emma who she could swear just smirked at her.

She shakes herself out of it, grabbing Robins hand, almost to reassure herself that he is the one she's with, the one she suppose to love.

"I'm fine" Regina mutters "Long day that's all" Robin strokes her hand while Emma raises an eyebrow at her. She knows I'm lying Regina thinks to herself she always knows when I'm lying.

"Why don't you girls go for a drink later? I'm sure me and Hook can watch Henry, I have Roland tonight anyway" Robin suggests, Regina glances at him but Emma is beaming as Hook comfirms he is more than happy to watch Henry.

"Let's do it Gina, I feel like I've barely seen you this week " Emma replys with such excitment it melts Reginas heart, she loves the way Emma calls her Gina, nobody but her would ever get away it.

Regina agrees reluctantly, she almost feels nervous, but deep down she's longing to spend time with just Emma, she was right after all they had barely seen each other this week and it wasn't for lack of Emma trying, no, it was Regina, running from feelings she knew she shouldn't have. Her mind wonders back to a week ago, they'd been having their regular movie night once Henry had gone to bed they had put Grey's on (they were watching it together, or trying but Emma of course talked through every episode) Emma had repositioned herself so that her head was on Regina's lap, Regina had began playing with Emma's hair without even realising what she was doing, Emma fell asleep and it was then that Regina realised just how close they were and just how content she felt, it was then that she realised that she felt more, more than a friendship, it scared her, so she avoided Emma and her feelings.

She wouldn't call it love, not yet anyway.

I have more, I just want to see how it does first. If anyone has any prompts or anything they would like me to add please feel free to let me know. Criticism is welcome too:)
