"People dream of living in the world I live in. Magic with wands, creatures of the wildest imaginations, and timeturners. They have this idea that it's whimsical and ever breathtaking with never ending wonder and adventure. People believe with their hearts, hearts oblivious to the obvious. Every world... has bad people, terrible events, and their people die. People dream of living in the world we live in….why?"

Birds flew above her head, wind from wings caressed her skin, their chirping and whistling was the only sound in the room besides her soft breathing. Hermione laid on her bed, their bed, and stared at her creation that only magic could have completed. She laid in a black dress that fell below her knees, except it laid spread out on the bed. Hand folded on her stomach, she stared, and stared, and stared. Blinking burned her eyes from holding them open so long because every time she closed her eyes, she saw his face, and heard his words.

His mouth was bloodstrained.

"I had a feeling," Draco said, "I'm glad I came in your place."

Her eyes blinked involuntarily, and it burned, again.

"I love you." He whispered.

Thump. Her heart beat grew louder.

"I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you," he could only whisper.

"Stop it…." The birds started flying faster.

"I love you, I love you."

"I LOVE YOU! STOP PLEASE!" She pleaded, crying.

"Stay," she found herself talking out loud again, remembering him bleeding out too fast. The birds were going so fast, their relaxing chirps and whistles now sounded like whales of anger and despair.

"I love you," he was fading away now.

"No," the birds were fighting each other now, "no," feathers fell and faded before reaching her on the bed, "no."

"Hermione, my Hermione," he whisper so soft, such a whisper, "I love you."

She stared at the birds, watching them fight to their death.

His last breath left, lingering in the air, "I love you."

Then there was silence. It was like slow motion to her. The birds had killed each other, and they were falling down to her, and they faded just as their feathers did, they faded from this world. Just like Draco did. Just like her husband had. Just like her world had.

She blinked, it burned, and silent tears fell down the sides of her face.

Harry and Ron looked at each other, knowing that after three knocks, Hermione wasn't going to open the door for them. Harry muttered a simple spell, surprised she didn't have the whole place on lockdown when it opened for him.

They walked in, and didn't find her in the living room or kitchen, the found her in her bed, laying there in her black dress, hands folded on her stomach, tears falling down the sides of her face. She was staring at the ceiling.

Harry and Ron didn't ask her any questions, they simply walked over to the bed, Harry on one side, and Ron on the other side, then they laid down beside of her and placed their hands on their chest. Not a word was said, they just stared at the ceiling with her.

Looking into the eyes of her almost husband, standing at the top of the alter; her knees were still weak from being nervous. She couldn't quit grinning like a mad woman. It was time.

He looked handsome. His tie laid undone around his neck, he few buttons of his white button up still laid apart. Yet his hair still looked neat, his face looked didn't look phased, and he was smiling at her, right at her, right into her soul.

"I don't have anything extravagant to say to you," she reached for his hands, "I just want you to know a few things Malfoy."

Her hands were shaking, she felt him squeeze them in encouragement, and when she looked in his eyes, she saw the world, and then it just came to her.

"Thank you," she sighed, "thank you for finding me. I'm am in debt to you, and all I have to offer is my company, my love, and my soul to you. I hope that's enough because that's all I'll ever have to give you, and today is the day I can do that." How can I explain this? She thought.

"So I give that to you right now, and it's yours until I'm not living anymore. You're it for me. I didn't see it before, I ran away from you, and I pushed you away when you caught up. I'm so glad you kept fighting for me, and I'm sorry I wasted all that time."

He smiled at her, nodded for her to continue.

"Draco Malfoy I'm giving you what time is left of me today, until I'm old and feeble, I'm yours, I love you."

"What the bloody hell are the three of you doing?"

Hermione looked away from the sky and saw Draco standing above them.

"We are cloud watching," she explained, "if you look close enough, Harry's charmed them to look like all sorts of things. It's quite wonderful."

Ron stood up and brushed his hands off on his pants, "I'll be off then, Lavender has an appointment at St. Mungo's to check up on the baby," he waved awkwardly, "see you then Harry, Mione, Malfoy."

Malfoy watched him leave briefly before turning to look back at Harry and Hermione on the ground. He looked up at the sky and saw nothing out of the ordinary.

"Ministry called Granger," Malfoy held out his hand for her to take, "they have some papers you need to go and sign."

Hermione took his hand and stood up, "Alright, alright, Harry, I'll owl you and Ginny later to come over for dinner."

Harry stood up and watched her walk back into the Weasley's house to get her things.

"Have a good chat with Bill there, Malfoy?" Harry asked.

"I did, he asked me if Hermione and I would like to come spend a weekend with him and Fleur in the country, said we'd think about it." Malfoy eyed Harry.

"What?" Harry asked.

"You didn't do anything to the clouds." Malfoy stated.

Harry smirked, "I'll never tell."

Malfoy rolled his eyes and went to find Hermione to leave.

"Arghhh!" Hermione stomped her foot on the ground, looking up at the beautiful sky in frustration.

"Love, calm down."

"Draco, I need to figure this out! Harry won't tell me," she ground out, "I've never been able to not figure anything out! Why?!"

Draco laughed, put an arm around her waist and pulled her face up to his by her chin and kissed her on the lips tenderly while smiling.

"Watch," he pointed to the sky with his finger, then pulled out his wand and looked up, "but don't look."

"That's what Harry said, wait is that the-"

"Shh." Draco smirked looking up.

Hermione huffed in annoyance and looked up, waiting for the charm to take place. She looked and looked and looked. Then she saw it, when she stopped looking, and started watching.

It was simple, small, and probably silly to anyone else, but she loved it. Flowers among flowers waving, petals flying by in the wind, all made of clouds, shaped liked daisies.

"How do you two do that?"

"We'll never tell." Draco said softly, smirking mischievously, and walked back into their flat building.

"Prat!" She yelled, watching him throw his head back in laughter, loving every second of deep baritone joy that heard.

"…People dream of living in the world we live in…why?" Hermione repeated again. She spoke calmly, softly, never looking away from the people attending her husband's funeral.

"I know the answer to many things, but that question has so many different meanings to so many different people that it can not be answered and set in stone. I just have the answer that I would give if I were asked that question…."

Hermione breathed deeply, and exhaled slowly.

"The two most unlikely people in the world ended up falling in love. A magnificent example of love overpowering hate in the aftermath of war. I will carry those days of him with me forever. The days where he hated me, just because of the blood that flowed in my veins, to the days where he loved me just because of the way I crinkled my nose. People would dream to live in any world that offered that adventure. " She explained.

"Everyone has had wonderful things to say, and it's greatly appreciated. I know what I'm saying is nonsense, but it's because I'm angry, and hu-hurt." Her voice finally faltered.

Breathing fast, feeling her self starting to unravel, she finished. "Every…..world has the opportunity to be amazing. Mine did and it was, but now it's gone, in that damn casket ready to be lowered six feet into the ground."

Hermione walked out, not looking back.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron laid on the bed, looking at the ceiling, hands across their chest.

The funeral had been over for quite some time now, they were still in their outfits from it.

"I…" Harry began, "I..,"

"What?" Ron whispered.

"Hermione, I never charmed them."

She didn't say anything. Turning her head to look at him, her tears still falling slowly, she said nothing.

"I didn't charm the clouds at all, ever, neither did Malfoy." And then he laughed.

It was a small laugh, quiet really, and then it just started to grow, until he was holding his stomach with one arm, and covering his face with the other.

Then Ron laughed.

And then Hermione laughed.

"Three years, two days, and 37 minutes later, here I stand at your grave Malfoy."

There it was, his headstone, with two very important dates and a quote.

"It's hard to come here, James told me to tell you hey, and he gave me these every flavor beans to leave here for you, said he ate all the ice cream so you'll have to wait until next time. Little bugger is five now." Harry said as he laid the candy on base of the stone.

"Expect him to sing Bad Moon Rising the next time he visits. He can't get enough of that." Harry laughed, sticking his hands into the pockets of his coat, trying to stay warm.

"Ron still works with me at the ministry, his children are doing fine, turns out Lavender is pregnant again, their fifth child now. It was a surprise to all of us, they had told us religiously told us that they weren't having anymore." Harry scoffed, and you could see his breath in the cold air.

"Molly is excited though. I think your mother gets tired of hearing her talk about it all the time. Can't blame her, she can be a bit to enthusiastic about things. I'll tell you thought, Albus is a handful, he won't leave Lily alone for the life of him. Ginny says its normal, but I swear James was never that way towards Albus. Who knows…"

Harry looked around, "I know..I'm rambling on about nothing. It gets hard to know what to say, sometimes I forget if I've already said it or not…" He trailed off.

"The thing is, I'm here today because I've bought Hermione with me. First time she's been here see..I'm sure you know that though. She's waiting out by the entrance, so I'm going to go get her, and I'll see you next time mate."

Harry walked away…and then there she came. Hesitant, slowly stepping, closer….

She even fluffed her hair around nervously trying to make it look neater.

And then she was in front of her husband's resting place.

"What am I doing.." she whispered.

"Yea, Granger, what are you doing?"

Her head snapped up to see…to see him sitting there, on his headstone, just sitting there..and relaxing and..and..and…

"I've lost my mind…I've lost my mind!" She began to walk away.

"Wait, Hermione," the impossible Draco said, "please."

She stopped but didn't turn around.

"Ok…explain."

"I'm here for just a short time…."

"I don't understand. This is cruel."

"I'm here for a reason, trust me."

She turned around slowly, and found him standing right in front of her…she felt like her heart was going to go out of this world, her breathing couldn't be calmed.

"I….. I've missed you."

"Merlin Hermione, I've missed you love." He smiled.

"Can I….can I t-"

"No, you can't touch me..I'm here, but I'm not here."

"Draco, I….don't know how to h-ha-handle this." Hermione was shaking.

"I'm here to give you something." He told her.

Hermione laughed, and felt tears on her cheeks, so she rubbed them, and kept them there, afraid to look at him any longer.

"Hermione, you have to look at me."

She shook her head no vigorously.

"Hermione, look at me, please."

She dropped her hands, but kept her eyes squeezed shut…and then..then she felt the lightest tingle on her face, trailing from her hairline to her cheeks, down to her lips….and under her chin.

"Look at me, " he whispered.

Finally, she did, and seen he had his hands near her face, not touching, but mere millimeters away.

"I'm here for a reason, to give you something. It's your decision as to rather or not you keep it." He paused, and looked around.

"I'm running out of time, I know this is cruel, and I'm sorry but just trust me please. I love you, and I wish you nothing but happiness. I am still glad that I went in your place. I had a feeling and I knew you shouldn't have went please don't hate me-"

"I could never hate you." She sobbed.

"Here," and he was able to grab her hands and she gasped, they were so warm, like the cold hadn't bothered him at all when it should have…it should have…

"I've finally lost it haven't I, there was a reason I never came here-"

"Take this," he placed an object in her hands, "you know what to do, if you want to-"

"I don't understand this is just too much-"

"Hermione. The two most unlikely people in the world ended up falling in love. A magnificent example of love overpowering hate in the aftermath of war. A love that powerful can't have ended like it did with us. Here. Take this."

She opened her hands that were still being held by his and gasped, "A timeturner. No. No that's against all magical law, terri-"

"A love that powerful," he repeated, grinning, "can't have ended like it did with us."

And he was gone. Gone from her life again forever. She was left there with only the timeturner in her hands, hands that were growing colder now that his impossible ones weren't holding hers anymore.

She stared into the space before her, her eyes only reaching his headstone.

"Hermione? You alright, what's that?" Harry walked up to her, stopping a few feet away, and pointed toward her hand.

"Harry." Was all she said. Her mind brainstorming the impossible, did it really happen, was it real?

"Hermione? I'll help you back to the house-"

"Harry, I've got to go."

"Alright, let's-"

"No Harry," she rushed over to him, hugged him quickly, placing a kiss on his cheek and stepped back, putting the time turner on her neck, holding it both hands in front of her face.

"I've got to go. Don't wait for me."

"Hermione, Hermione what are you doing?" Harry started to panic. "Hermione!" He shouted.

"Don't worry, I'll see you soon." She turned the hour glass many times, calculating in her mind.

"Hermione don't," he stepped close trying to grab her, "HERMIONE!" He screeched.

Opening his eyes and looking into his arms..they were empty. Hermione was gone.

OH MY GOSH! I didn't see myself ending I that way. It just opened a whole new WORLD! Seriously, I had it planned out, she was going to be miserable, and slowly come back to life and move on. But my heart and hands went against my mind and led me down this path with Hermione and Draco. Can you believe that happened? How did Draco come back? How was he allowed to give her that. I mean what just happened! I have to think it through myself. This probably a whole bunch of nonsense but seriously in my opinion beautiful! I'm excited. Keep an eye out, I may just continue this! –takes a deep breath-. Thank you for taking this journey with me! Leave a review! Thank you to those who have already left their opinions, you've been such an inspiration! I can't stop putting exclamation marks, I'M EXCITED!
