Kindness ch. 6

Kimi looks around the house. It was really big and amazing. Kimi never seen a house so big and she was going to hang out with Hinata for the next few days. She wasn't sure why she was staying with Hinata but she was happy nonetheless. Hinata giggled as Kimi wonder through the house. She never seen a child so fascinated with a house but that's Kimi for you.

She keeps things interesting. Hinata was gonna have to explain this to Konan but she didn't think that Konan would mind too much. Hinata went through Kimi's backpack to see what Naruto had packed. In it were a few clothes, undergarments, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a picture of Kimi and Naruto and an asthma inhaler. Hinata didn't know that Kimi has asthma.

Kimi looks like a very energetic kid to her. She had to get Kimi more clothes because she has the clothes she already has on and a spare pair of clothes and some basketball shorts to sleep in.

"Kimi-chan, come on. We're going to the mall" Hinata said grabbing her keys.

Kimi followed her to Hinata's car. Hinata put Kimi in the backseat and buckled in her in. She sat into the driver's seat and drove to the mall. Hinata parked the car and Kimi unbuckled herself. Hinata held Kimi's hand so she wouldn't lose her in the mall. Kimi was amazed by how huge the mall was and all the different stores that were there.

She never been inside of a mall but she stood outside of one before. Naruto and she were begging for spare change for food. Hinata walked into Kids Old Navy where she found a cute yellow shirt that a glittering heart in the middle with the words "You break it, you buy it" in black lettering.

"What do you think?" Hinata asked showing Kimi the shirt.

"It's okay but I like this one" Kimi said pulling a different shirt.

It was a light blue shirt with the words "HEARTBREAKER" in red lettering and a broken heart on the front. Hinata giggled and ruffled Kimi's hair little. Hinata picked it up and a few other cute shirts. Kimi picked a black hoodie and a red denim beanie. Hinata picked up pajamas for Kimi to wear instead of the basketball shorts. They walked to the cashier and Hinata paid for the clothes.

Kimi wanted to carry the bags and Hinata let her. They walked into Kids Footlocker and Hinata let Kimi pick out two pairs of tennis that she wanted. Kimi was excited look through all of the shoes.

She was having a hard time deciding on what shoes but she finally decided on what she wanted. One pair was red and black Nike high-tops and other were blue and white Jordan. A guy that worked there got them the shoes in Kimi's size and Hinata paid for them as well. The guy that helped them tried slipped Hinata his phone number.

"I'm sorry but I have a boyfriend" Hinata said as they walked out. Kimi looked at him and shook her head at him. She followed Hinata out the store.

"You have a boyfriend, Hinata-chan?" Kimi asked curious.

"Well not yet… I'm waiting for the right time to ask your cousin to be my boyfriend" Hinata said smiling.

"Well my cousin is really dense so you might wanna spell it out for him" Kimi said folding her arms.

Hinata smiled and shook her head. They walked to the food court to grab something to eat. Kimi wanted chili-cheese dogs so they brought some from Hot Dogs on a Stick. They sat and eat… well Kimi was stuffing her face. She had already eaten 5 chili-cheese dogs, 3 orders of fries and was gulping down a large Coke.

Hinata was wondering where Kimi was putting it all. Kimi let out a loud belch that cleared the two tables next to them and was rewarded by pats on the back by 3 frat boys. She stared at Hinata with a sheepishly grin.

"Hehehe sorry about that, I was really hungry" Kimi said blushing a little.

"It's okay but where do you put it all?" Hinata asked curious.

"Naruto-nii, calls me the human garbage disposal because a lot even though we don't get to eat all the time" Kimi said shrugging.

Hinata was wondering what Naruto and Kimi go through. She wanted to help them in any way she could but she didn't know how. Hinata and Kimi were about to leave when someone called Hinata's name. She turned to see that it was Ino.

Ino is a dear friend of Hinata from high school. She helped Hinata get over her shyness and Hinata was grateful to her. Ino is a fashion designer's apprentice. Ino loves fashion and cute things.

"Hello Ino-chan, long time no see" Hinata said smiling.

"It has been a long time… Hina-chan, when did you have a kid?! Why didn't you tell me?!" Ino yelled looking at Kimi.

Kimi was clearing out her ear with her pinky because the blond yelled in her ear. Why was she so loud? Why did she think that Hinata was her mother? Hinata was explaining to Ino and finally calmed down.

"Oh my bad but she does kinda look like you" Ino said smiling.

Hinata shook her head. She couldn't believe that Ino thought Kimi was her daughter. Ino does tend to jump the gun before getting any evidence. Hinata wouldn't mind having Kimi as her daughter but oh well. She told Ino goodbye and they left the mall. Hinata put the bags in the backseat with Kimi and on the way home, Kimi has falling asleep.

Hinata had parked in the driveway and carried Kimi inside. She laid on the couch before going to get the bags from out the car. Hinata put the bags in her room when she found Konan and she was staring at Kimi. She pointed at the kitchen and Hinata followed her.

"Oh Lucy, you have some explaining to do" Konan said doing her Ricky impression.

"Okay Konan-nee before you jump to conclusions. Kimi-chan isn't my kid. She's Naruto-kun's little cousin. I'm taking care of her for a few days while he's redoing her room" Hinata explains.

Konan let out a sigh of relief. She wasn't ready to an aunt just yet.

"Okay, thank you for the explanation. Just don't rush into anything" Konan said patting her shoulder.

Hinata woke up Kimi so she'll change into her pajamas. Kimi groggily change into a tank top and basketball shorts. She was gonna flop on the bed when Hinata stopped her. Hinata wanted to wash Kimi's hair because it was dirty.

She pushed out a bottle of strawberry shampoo and conditioner. Kimi held her head under the warm water of the tub and Hinata began to wash her hair. A few minutes later, Hinata was dying Kimi's hair with a towel and Kimi was falling asleep.

"Kimi-chan, I need you to stay awake a little bit longer, okay?" Hinata asked trying to keep Kimi awake.

Kimi nodded and tried to keep her eyes awake. They walked into Hinata's room and Hinata has Kimi sit on the edge of the bed. Hinata turned her blow-dryer on and begins to blow dry Kimi's hair. A few minutes later, Hinata turns off the blow-dryer and ties Kimi's hair in a ponytail.

Hinata puts on her pajamas and crawls into the bed with Kimi. Kimi was already asleep and Hinata pulls the covers over them. Kimi snuggles into Hinata when she turns her lamps off. Hinata kisses Kimi on her forehead.

"Good night Kimi-chan" Hinata said going to sleep.
