Kindness ch. 7

Naruto was in the apartment, painting the walls in Kimi's room. He was painting the wall a light blue color. Naruto was planning to paint on top of the light blue with all of Kimi's favorite flowers on them. He knows that Kimi likes lilies and cherry blossoms. Naruto painted the walls light blue the day before and were dry so he was ready to draw on it.

He started drawing a huge cherry blossom tree in a corner with petal flowing in the wind in either direction. Next, Naruto drew lilies of different colors on the bottom. He drew the sun in the top corner of another wall with a fox with nine tails sleeping in the grass with baby fox sleeping on the bigger fox's back.

Naruto thought it kind of looks like him and Kimi in a way when Kiba walked in. He was carrying the paint cans that Naruto had asked him to pick for him. Naruto took the paint cans from Kiba and opened with them with a screwdriver. He started painting when Kiba picked up a paintbrush. Naruto stared at Kiba in confusion.

"It'll go faster if two people were working on this… don't worry; I can stay in lines" Kiba said rolling his eyes.

"Thank you Kiba" Naruto said smiling.

Kiba nodded and they got working on the paint. Naruto was surprised that Kiba was right. It did go faster with two people. It was midnight when they finished painting the entire room. Naruto looked at the room and he was pleased with it. It came out better than expected and he couldn't wait for Kimi to see it. Naruto knew that she was going to love it. Now, he just had to pick up some furniture for the room and it will be complete.

"Kiba, do you know where I can get some kid furniture?" Naruto asked curious.

Kiba walked back into the room. He was trying to get some of the paint that managed to get on him. Kiba thought about it and he has some old furniture that he and his sister weren't using more since they're too big for it.

"I'm sure that I got some furniture that would be perfect for Kimi's room" Kiba said smiling.

"I can't keep taking stuff from you. You've done more than enough" Naruto said shaking his head.

Naruto liked taking handouts from people. It made him feel like he couldn't take of his family and sorts less than a man. Kiba has helped him more than enough and didn't want to seem like he was begging him.

"Naruto, take the offer besides I don't need the furniture anymore. Just take it besides we're friends and friends help each other" Kiba said placing a hand on Naruto's shoulder.

"Thank you" Naruto said smiling a little.

Kiba left to wash the rest of the paint off. Naruto closed the door and decided to take a shower. He discards his clothes and jumped into the shower. Naruto loved the feeling of the warm water his skin and feel his muscles relaxing. He stood in showers when his thought shifted to Kim. He was wondering what she was doing. What was Kimi behaving? Was Kimi having fun with Hinata?

He was hoping that she didn't think that he had abandoned her there. Naruto misses his baby. She was always with him so it's kinda weird that Kimi's not with him. Naruto stepped out of the shower and changed into a t-shirt and some shorts. He lay on the couch with his hands under his head. Naruto looked up at the ceiling and was having a hard time going to sleep.

He had gotten used to having Kimi sleeping on his chest and that's how he's gotten to sleep. Now that Kimi was at Hinata's, he couldn't sleep. Naruto toss and turn trying to get comfortable but his body wouldn't rest. He decided to just draw until he goes to sleep. Naruto pulled his sketchbook out and started drawing. A few hours, Naruto was still drawing when he heard a knock on his door. He got up and opened the door to see Kiba.

"Why are you here so early?" Naruto asked raising an eyebrow.

"What are you talking about? It's noon" Kiba said frowning.

Naruto looked at a clock on a nearby wall and it say noon. What the hell? He had stayed up all drawing. Naruto couldn't believe it but it wasn't that surprised. He has gone days without sleeping before but that was when he didn't have a place to sleep. On those days, he had to sleep with one eye open to make sure that nothing happen to Kimi. Naruto let Kiba in and he stared at him weirdly.

"I'm sorry, I didn't sleep at all last night" Naruto said rubbing his eyes.

"Why?" Kiba asked curious.

"I have gotten so used to sleeping with little cousin sleeping on my chest that since she's at Hinata's. I couldn't sleep"

He knows that it sound weird but it's the truth. Naruto was just now realizing it. Kiba told to him to change into the clothes since they were going to his home to the pick the furniture. Naruto changed into an orange t-shirt and jeans. He put on his grey hoodie since it was freezing outside. Naruto followed Kiba to his car and they drove to Kiba's house.

They walked to the garage when Kiba's held all of his and his sister's old furniture. Kiba found a bed that they could put in Kimi's room. Naruto found an antique dresser that would be perfect. They found an old desk that Kimi could use to do her homework that has a bookcase attached to it. Kiba found his old basketball hoop that he attach to the back of door and play basketball on it.

He thought Kimi might like it. They found a desktop computer and a small dresser. They loaded up the stuff into a small trailer that Kiba borrowed from a neighbor and returned to Naruto's apartment. They carried the stuff up one by one. Naruto and Kiba carried the bed up the stairs. Naruto was carrying the top end and Kiba had the bottom half.

"Don't drop it on me" Kiba said through gritted teeth.

They carried to Kimi's room when they lay it against the furthest wall. They brought in the rest of the stuff and organized it. The desk was parallel to the bed and Kiba hooked up the computer on the desk. Naruto set the small dresser next to the bed and the bigger dresser in next to the door. Kiba attached the basketball hoop to the door.

"I got the computer set up but I'll have my buddy set the internet sometime this week" Kiba said his hands on his hips.

"I can't afford internet services. I can rig the cable but I can't afford to pay someone to set up the internet" Naruto said frowning.

"Don't worry; my friend owes me a favor so he'll do for free" Kiba said giving him a thumbs up.

"Thank you Kiba for everything" Naruto said smiling.

"No problem" Kiba said before leaving.

Naruto hopped the bus to go and get Kimi. With Hinata and Kimi Hinata woke up that morning with a weight on her chest. She opened her eyes to see that Kimi was lying on top of her and Kimi snuggled up to her. Hinata smiled and she didn't have the heart to wake the little girl up. She laid there and started catching up on her reading. A few minutes later, Kimi woke up and rubbed her eyes. She sat up to realize that she hit her head on a book.

"Morning sleepy head" Hinata said giggling a little.

She put her book the nightstand.

"Morning, I'm sorry I fell asleep on you. I gotten used to sleeping on Naruto-nii's chest that I do a lot" Kimi said rubbing her head sheepishly.

"It's okay, I don't mind. Want some breakfast?"

Kimi nodded and got off Hinata. She followed the other female into the kitchen. Kimi sat on the counter as she watched Hinata make breakfast for the two of them. Hinata made pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast. She poured the both of them orange juice. On Kimi's plate, there were 3 pancakes, 3 pieces of bacon and sausage, a piece of toast and 2 eggs.

Kimi poured strawberry syrup on her pancakes before stuffing her face. Hinata watched to the in her mouth It was like Kimi couldn't get the food in her mouth fast enough. She tried to get the younger brunette's attention and when she did, Kimi has her cheeks puffed out with food.

"Kimi-chan, slow down or you're going to choke. The food isn't going anywhere and if you're still hungry, you can get some more" Hinata said smiling.

Kimi nodded and swallowed the food in her mouth. She actually chews her food. A few minutes later, Hanabi walked out of her room in another skimpy outfit and tries to walk out the front door when Hinata saw her.

"You better go change your clothes before Konan sees you" Hinata said looking at her.

Hanabi sighed and stared at Kimi in confusion.

"Who's the kid?" Hanabi asked raising an eyebrow.

"She's someone that I'm babysitting. Why are you dressed like that? You know that Konan and I don't like you dressing like that" Hinata said frowning.

"Hinata-chan, who's the slut?" Kimi asked curious.

Hanabi and Hinata were shocked and surprised. Hinata was shocked that Kimi used that word. She was wondering if she knew what word meant. Hanabi was surprised because she hasn't done anything sexual in her life. Least not yet anyways. They were both were caught off guard by the simple question asked by an eight year old.

"Kimi-chan, do know what that words mean?" Hinata asked snapping out of her shock.

"I lived on the street long enough to know the difference between a whore and a slut. The way your sister is dressing, she looks like a slut" Kimi said eating the last of her bacon.

"You don't even know me so you can't call me that" Hanabi said frowning.

"I call it like I see and I see a slut. Feel free to prove me; that's up to you. I couldn't care less what you do" Kimi said shrugging her shoulder.

Hanabi was trying really to keep her temper under control and it was proving hard to do. How dare this little kid call her a slut? She wasn't a slut and will never be a slut. Hanabi decided to prove to this kid that she was a slut and she was going to start now. She went to change her school and Kimi turned to Hinata.

"I think I fixed your problem" Kimi said leaning back in her chair.

"You used reverse psychology on her Brilliant" Hinata said high-fiving Kimi.

Kimi was grinning. She liked using reverse psychology on people but Kimi only use it for good… most of the time. Hanabi came out in normal teenage girl clothes and goes off to school. Hinata washed the dishes when the doorbell rings. She asked if Kimi could get it and Kimi opens the door to be swept off her feet. It was Naruto and he grabbed Kimi into arms the instant he saw her.

It was 2 day but he missed her like crazy. He kissed her on the cheek repeatedly and Kimi giggles. She was excited to see her big brother. She wasn't expecting to see him so soon but she missed him. Naruto closes the door behind him and see Hinata in the kitchen. She was still in her pajamas but to him, she stills beautiful. Hinata had tied her hair in a loose ponytail and she put the last dish in the cabinet. She smiled when she saw him and Naruto blushes.

"Good morning, Naruto-kun. Are you hungry?" Hinata asked curious.

Naruto was about to say no but his stomach beat him to the punch. It grumbled loudly and Naruto blushes even redder. Hinata giggles a little and made him a plate of food. Naruto sat at the table and Hinata sat the food in front of him. He took a bite of a pancake and it was delicious. Naruto wanted to stuff his face but he didn't want Hinata to think that he was a pig or something. He ate normally as possible.

"Does this mean I gotta go home?" Kimi asked curious.

"Yea, I have a big surprise for you when you get home" Naruto said smiling.

"Can Hinata-chan come?" Kimi asked excited.

"Can I come, Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked looking at him innocently.

Kimi imitated the look that Hinata was giving Naruto.

"Please Naruto-kun?" Hinata and Kimi asked in unison.

Naruto couldn't resist the look that they were giving him. He was pretty sure if it just only one of them giving them that look, Naruto could resist but it was both of them.

"Okay, okay just don't do that look anymore" Naruto said hanging his head in defeat.

Hinata and Kim giggled and high-fived each other.
