Kindness ch. 12
Hinata was walking around the mall along with her boyfriend Naruto. They were looking for presents for Kimi. This will be her first Christmas that she'll have more than one present and it wasn't from a toy giveaway. Naruto wanted to make it extra special since he'll be able to afford to get her a present and have mean something. Kimi is the best thing in his life and wanted to show it to her.
Naruto had asked Hinata to take to the mall to get Kimi something and Kiba had paid him that day. She happily agreed and wanted to get the little girl something as well. Hinata drove to Naruto's house and they got into the car. They had to drop Kimi at Hinata's house and she made Hanabi watch her. Hanabi groaned about babysitting Kimi and she wasn't happy about it either.
"Hinata-chan, do I have to stay here with her? Can I go with you, pretty please?" Kimi asked latching herself onto Hinata's leg.
"I'm sorry Kimi-chan but you have to stay but I promise that I'll make it up to you" Hinata said unlatching Kimi.
Kimi pout and huffed out her chest. She didn't want to stay with Hanabi because she was bossy. Hinata had left her here with the older teen and they were at each other's throats until Hinata had gotten back.
"Okay but I won't be held responsible if I choke her out" Kimi said staring at Hanabi.
"Dido" Hanabi said looking at Kimi with a "come and try it" look.
Hinata giggled a little and kissed both girls on the cheek. She and Naruto left and drove off towards the mall. It was a short 15 minute drive to the mall.
"Do you know what you want to get her?" Hinata asked curious.
Naruto looked up at the ceiling in a thinking matter and scratches his head. He hadn't really thought of anything that he wanted to get Kimi. She wasn't one of those kids that who ask for a lot of things that they see on TV. Kimi barely asks for anything in general so that makes it even more difficult to get her something.
"I don't know what I'm gonna get her. She doesn't really ask for anything except for getting feed" Naruto said chuckling a little bit.
Hinata giggled a little too because she's seen first-hand of how much Kimi can put away. A certain store caught Hinata's attention and she drags Naruto into it. Naruto looks around the store and sees that it's mostly toys in it.
"Are we in a toy store?" Naruto asked raising an eyebrow.
"Yea, it's Toy R' Us. It's the perfect place to get Kimi's presents" Hinata said smiling.
Naruto looked around the toy and avoided the Barbie section of the store. Dolls gave him the creeps with their no blinking eyes and painted on smiles. Naruto shuddered a little bit. He picked up a red, blue and white basketball and starts dribbling it. Naruto was doing tricks and bouncing it in-between his legs. He was testing out the ball because he was pretty good at playing basketball.
When he was younger, a boy that was 4 years older than him taught Naruto how to play and he passed it onto Kimi. Basketball is the first thing that Kimi ever learned from him that Naruto was proud of. Naruto has taught Kimi other things but it was in order to survive on the streets and he's not proud of it. He wants to provide her with a better life and he was feeling like that it's possible.
Naruto has Hinata to thank for that. He never experience just acts of kindness from another person but Hinata has been nothing but kind to him and Kimi. He found Hinata in the video games and was playing on the Ps3. Naruto smirked as he sneaks up behind her and put his mouth near Hinata's ear.
"I thought we were here for Kimi-chan" Naruto said as Hinata jumped.
She wasn't expecting Naruto to pop up behind her like that. She almost had a heart attack since she wasn't expecting it. Naruto was laughing his butt at his girlfriend's reaction. Her expression was priceless.
"Naruto-kun, that was mean" Hinata said pouting.
"I'm sorry but that was funny. I couldn't help myself" Naruto said smiling.
Hinata felt a smile tug at the edges of her lips. She couldn't stay mad at Naruto for too long since she was planning on getting him back for it later. Hinata walked up to Naruto and puts her mouth close to his ear.
Naruto froze for the moment as his girlfriend smirks as she whispers something in his ear. His face instantly turns red as Hinata giggles at his reaction. Payback is gonna be sweet. She walks away as Naruto is as stiff as a statue. He couldn't believe what his girlfriend had just told. Naruto didn't know if he should be afraid or not.
"Come on Naruto-kun, we got more shopping to do" Hinata said smirking.
Naruto was slowly following his girlfriend throughout the store. He was relatively proud of himself and paid for the stuff that he gotten for his cousin. Naruto was holding 2 big bags of stuff.
"I think I went a little bit overboard" Naruto said looking down at the stuff.
"Don't worry, she'll love the stuff that you gotten her especially that basketball" Hinata said smiling.
Naruto smiled back and kisses Hinata on the lips. Hinata blushes like a tomato. She wasn't expecting Naruto kiss her so suddenly like that. They are dating but they were taking slowly.
"W-What was that f-for?" Hinata asked blushing.
"Because I wanted to and to say thank you" Naruto said as he put the stuff in the trunk of Hinata's car.
"Thank you for what?" Hinata asked confused.
"For everything, being there for Kimi, being my girlfriend and just being beautiful" Naruto said smiling.
Hinata was touched. She never knew that Naruto felt that way about her. She smiles at her boyfriend and kisses him on the lips. Naruto wraps his arms around Hinata's waist and licks her bottom lip. Hinata parts her lips a little and Naruto snakes his tongue in her mouth. Hinata moans a little bit as they battle for dominance. She wasn't going to lose to Naruto and he lets her inside of his mouth.
Hinata searches her boyfriend's mouth and could tell what he had for breakfast this morning. His mouth tasted like vanilla ice cream. They would have kept kissing until they heard someone cough behind them. Naruto and Hinata were blushing until Hinata realized that it was Temari and Gaara. Gaara was trying to keep his jealousy under control.
He barely knew the guy but he wanted to beat the crap out of him for touching Hinata like that. Gaara wants Hinata back in his arm but knows that probably not going to happen… well not with this guy around.
"Hey Hinata-chan, this is the guy you were telling me about? Does he have a brother?" Temari asked teasing.
"Temari-chan!" Hinata said embarrassed.
"Um hi, I'm Naruto Uzumaki" Naruto said holding out his hand.
"Hi Naruto-san, I'm Temari and this is my brother Gaara. We're friends of Hinata's" Temari said shaking his hand.
"Sup" Gaara said in a monotone.
"What are you doing here?" Hinata asked curious.
"Doing some last minute shopping. What are you doing tomorrow night?" Temari asked curious.
"I'm going to hang with my family and Naruto-kun" Hinata said smiling.
"We're having a Christmas party tomorrow night, why don't you swing by?" Temari asked smiling.
"Do you wanna go Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked looking at him.
"I'll go if you do" Naruto said smiling back.
"Okay, we'll come" Hinata said smiling.
"Okay, see you there" Temari said as they walked toward the mall.
"This is my chance to get Hinata back" Gaara thought smirking.
Christmas Morning
Kimi woke up early that morning to see the tree has a bunch of presents underneath it. She was surprise to see so many present under it but was excited. Kimi opened the presents as Naruto walked in, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
He sees Kimi opening her presents and has the biggest smile on her eyes. It makes Naruto happy to see her happy and she deserves it. Naruto thought that Kimi's smile couldn't get any bigger but it did when she unwrapped her basketball. She turned to Naruto and tackled him to the ground.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you so much, Naruto-nii" Kimi said hugging him tightly.
"You're welcome but Kimi loosen up your grip, I can't breathe" Naruto said as Kimi loosen her grip on his neck.
"I love my basketball and my other presents. I got you something" Kimi said placing a present on Naruto's lap.
Naruto looked at the present and it was wrapped in a green wrapping paper with tiny Santa Clauses on it. He opened it and inside was two new sketchbooks, charcoal, color pencils and other art supplies. Naruto was very happy about the new art supplies that Kimi gave him but something was bothering. Where did she get them? How could she afford all of this? She didn't steal them… or did she?
"Kimi-chan, where did you get the money for all of this?" Naruto asked raising an eyebrow.
"I've been saving up the money that I found for a while and Hinata helped me with the rest of it. I told her that I wanted to get you something special and she was willing to help me. Do you like it?" Kimi asked curious.
Naruto smiled and kissed her on the forehead.
"I love it. Thank you, Kimi-chan" Naruto said smiling.
"Welcome" Kimi said giving him a toothy grin.
Naruto made Kimi a big breakfast consisting of pancakes, hash browns, eggs, sausages, bacon and toast. Kimi's mouth was overflowing with drool as she stared at the buffet in front. She never seen this much food in her life and she wanted to devour it all.
"Thanks for the food" Naruto and Kimi said in unison.
They started devouring everything in their paths. They couldn't stuff their mouths since they never had this much food in a long time. A few minutes later, everything was completely gone and Kimi had a mini potbelly. Naruto chuckled at his cousin as he clean the dishes. He was planning on taking over Kimi over to Hinata's because she said that she has a surprise for them.
Naruto wasn't sure of what she was planning but it should be interesting. Kimi had changed into her regular clothes and a thick jacket since it was snowing outside. Naruto changed as well and put on his grey hoodie and green beanie. They walked all the way to Hinata's house and Naruto knocked on the door. Konan opened the door.
"Um is Hinata-chan here?"
"You must be Naruto. I'm Konan, Hinata's older sister" Konan said ushering them inside.
"Nice to meet you, Konan-san" Naruto said smiling.
"Hi Konan-chan" Kimi said smiling.
"Nice to finally meet you, Naruto and hi to you too, Kimi-chan" Konan said ruffling Kimi's hair.
Hinata slides down the railing of the stairs and hops onto the ground. She was still in her pajamas which was a blue tank top and sweatpants. Kimi hopped into the older female's arms and hugged her tightly.
"Merry Christmas Hinata-chan" Kimi said grinning.
"Merry Christmas to you too, Kimi-chan. I think your present is under the tree" Hinata said putting Kimi down.
Kimi ran towards the tree to find her present and Konan followed her into the living room. Hinata looked at Naruto and walks him. She points to something over his head and Naruto looks up. He sees the mistletoe over his head and smiles at Hinata. Whoever you're standing with under the mistletoe is who you have to kiss. He was starting to think that she planned this from the start. Naruto grabs Hinata by waist and kisses her on the lips.
"Heh Merry Christmas Naruto-kun" Hinata said smiling.
"Merry Christmas Hina-chan. I'm starting to think that you planned this" Naruto said smiling.
"Hmmm maybe, maybe not. All depends" Hinata said she lead him to the living room.
She handed him his present from her and Naruto opened it. It was a new black hoodie and the inside of it was lined with fur to warm. Hinata wanted to get him because his grey one was falling apart at the seams. She didn't want him to get sick. Naruto took his grey one and put the black one. It fits perfectly and he liked this one better because it was gift from his beautiful girlfriend. Naruto kissed Hinata on the lips.
"Thank you, I love it" Naruto said smiling.
"I'm glad. I'm gonna get change and we can go to Gaara's party" Hinata said getting up.
Naruto, Konan and Kim were the only ones in living room.
"So Naruto-san, what are your intentions with my sister?" Konan asked looking her sister's boyfriend.
"Well I like Hinata a lot and I hope to spend a lot with time with her to get to know her better" Naruto said honestly.
"Are you working or going to school?" Konan asked curious.
"I'm working at Kiba's store but I plan on going to school to become an animator for maybe Studio Ghibli. I like drawing and I'm a decent drawer"
"That's true, Naruto-nii. You're an awesome drawer. He can draw just about everything" Kimi said smiling.
Hinata walks back in. Naruto turns his attention to his girlfriend and his jaw almost fell to the ground. Hinata was wearing a grey blouse with a pink shirt over it, 3 gold bangles on each wrist, and black skinny jeans that hug her curves in all the right places. Hinata notices Naruto's reaction and that's what she was hoping for it. She closed his mouth and he blushes like a tomato.
"Ready to go?" Hinata asked smirking.
"Y-Yea, Kimi-chan be good for Konan-san. Got it?"
"Yes sir" Kimi said saluting him.
Naruto smiled a little and rolled his eyes a little bit. The couple got into Hinata's car and she drove to Gaara's place. The party was going on and there were plenty of people there. Naruto was never good in crowd since he used to pickpocket and he was really good. He stared at the party but jumped a little as something grabbed his hand. Naruto looked to see that Hinata was holding his hand.
"No worries, I'll be right by your side" Hinata said smiling.
Naruto nodded and she led him inside. Hinata instantly found Gaara and Kankuro talking to Ino and another one of their friends. She remembered that the girl had a really big crush on Gaara when they were in high school. Her name is Matsuri and by the way she's looking at Gaara, she still has feelings for him. Gaara notices the couple and makes his way towards much to the dismay of Matsuri.
"Hey Hina-chan… Naruto-san" Gaara said in a monotone.
Naruto noticed the change in Gaara's voice when he said his name. He seemed happy when he said Hinata's name but quickly changed it when it came to him. Naruto wasn't sure why that was but let it go. It wasn't that big of a deal to him. He wasn't there for him or anyone else. Naruto meets the rest of Hinata's friends: Ino, Sai, Choji, Shikamaru, Shino, Kankuro, Lee and Tenten.
They were a pretty okay group in Naruto's opinion and were willing to except him into their group. Kiba was there as well. He does think Shino is a little weird since he barely says anything. Naruto was outside on the porch with Choji, Shikamaru, Kiba, Shino and Gaara. Gaara had handed Naruto a red cup of eggnog which he laced with liquor.
He was planning on getting Naruto and proving to Hinata that he was a better fit for her. Naruto looks at it and smells it. He notices that it was laced and stares at Gaara out the corner of his eye. Why would Gaara give him a laced drink? Is eggnog supposed to have liquor in it? He wasn't sure if he supposed to drink it, Naruto wasn't even 21 yet.
"Naruto, just drink it. There's rum in it" Kiba said drinking it.
"I can't, I'm 21 yet" Naruto said looking at it.
"How old are you?" Shikamaru asked curious.
"18" Naruto said shrugging.
Choji, Kiba and Gaara were surprised.
Hinata was 2 years older than her own boyfriend.
"What?" Naruto asked raising an eyebrow.
"Do you know how old Hinata is?" Choji asked.
Naruto shook his head. Why should that matter? They were the same age… right?
"She's 20" Kiba said surprised that Naruto didn't know.
"What? Since when?" Naruto asked surprised.
"Her birthday is in two days so she'll be 20" Shikamaru said nonchalant.
Naruto didn't think too much that Hinata was older than him. He likes her and she likes him, that's all that matters. Besides there wasn't that much age difference. Naruto chugged his drink down and Kiba patted him on the back. Gaara kept loading Naruto with eggnog until the blonde was completely wasted. Naruto could barely straight and her speech was slurring.
He knew that he was wasted and waited on the porch to sober up a little bit before going back inside. Hinata was inside of house looking for Naruto. She knew that he was outside with the guys a little while ago but they came inside already.
"Gaara-kun, have you seen Naruto-kun?" Hinata asked getting worried.
"I don't know" Gaara said shrugging.
Hinata asked Kiba and said that he was on the porch trying to sober up. She was confused on why Naruto was sobering up for. Hinata walked out onto the porch and found Naruto watching the snow fall. He was obviously drunk and she sat down beside him. "Hey H-Hina-chan, hic I think I'm drunk. Too much hiccup eggnog" Naruto said giving her a drunken smile.
"Okay Naruto-kun, I think it's time to go home and Kimi-chan is going to stay the night with Konan. Stay here and don't go anywhere" Hinata said as Naruto nodded obediently.
She got up and said her goodbyes to her friends. Hinata walks out to see Naruto leaning against the wall, fast asleep. She wraps his arm around her shoulder and walked him to the car.
Hinata buckled him inside and got in. She drove to Naruto's apartment and took the keys out his back pocket. Hinata carried Naruto to his room and changed his clothes. She put him into a plain t-shirt and shorts. Hinata put him to bed and was about to leave when something grabbed a hold of her. She looked to see that it was Naruto.
"Please… stay with me" Naruto pleaded.
Hinata smiled and slipped her shoes off. She crawled under the sheets and snuggled up to him. Naruto wrapped his arms around her waist and fell asleep again.
