Chapter 5
It was now the end of August, Louis, Hugo and Lily would soon return to Hogwarts. The family was gathered at the Burrow for the regular Sunday lunch. In recent weeks more people had started coming to Sunday lunch, Scorpius with Rose, Augusta Longbottom with Albus, Jared with Molly, Eli with Lucy, even Jennifer Macmillan had come with Hugo a few times.
Bill was washing his grandson Will's face after lunch in one of the bathrooms, as they went to leave, he spotted something in the bathroom. Now Bill Weasley wasn't one to normally go through rubbish bins, unless you count the one time Louis accidently through his wedding ring in there when he was a toddler.
Bill grabbed a tissue of the vanity and picked up the object out of the bin. It was a pregnancy test, after referring to the box that was below the test, e worked out it was negative.
Fleur came by wondering why her husband was taking so long.
"Darling, is everything okay?" she asked entering the bathroom.
Bill turned around and held the pregnancy test up with the tissue.
"Oh!, where did you find it?" Fleur asked him.
"In the bin"
"Whose is it?"
"I don't know, do you think we should say something?"
"No Bill, it that person's decision if they want to say something"
Bill put the pregnancy test back and in the bin and the couple went back downstairs.
He pulled Fleur aside once again.
"Are you sure we shouldn't say something about pregnancy test?" he asked her quietly
Unfortunately he the wrong moment to do so, and his mother walked and heard every word.
"oh my, you found a pregnancy test? Was it yours Fleur?" Molly asked her daughter in law.
"No Molly, it wasn't mine, and anyway it was negative" Fleur told her mother in law.
"Well then we should find out, who thought they were almost pregnant"
"Mum I think…." Said Bill trying to stop his mother from running into the living room where everyone was gathered and asking them. But he was too late
Bill groaned and followed his mother into living room.
"Excuse me everyone, can I have your attention please" Molly Weasley yelled over everyone.
Little Will Lupin who was busy telling his dad about his new toy wand from his uncle James was not happy at being disrupted and frowned at his great-grandmother.
"What is it mum?" asked Charlie Weasley who was visiting home, he had been telling Jared about Dragons.
"A pregnancy test was found in the bin, does someone have something they want to share?" Molly asked her family.
There were a few gasps around the room.
Teddy led his son outside before he could ask any questions.
"What was the result of the test?"
"It was negative Percy" Molly told her son.
"All the more reason not to find out who's test it was" Bill told his mother quietly.
She waved him off.
"Well it's obviously not Vic or Dom's, we all know they are pregnant" Louis said.
Fleur shot her son a look.
"And before you ask, I doubt Desiree would have taken the test anyway…..we haven't ever you know done that…." he told his mother.
Dom snorted at her brother's words.
Louis glared back at her.
"We never forget the spell anyway" Louis whispered to his cousin James.
"Well it wasn't mine" said Ginny.
"Nor mine" added Hermione.
"Or mine" said Angelina.
Everyone looked at Audrey.
"It wasn't mine either"
"I would hope not mum, that's an 18 year age difference" said Lucy.
"Okay so we know it's none of the younger Mrs Weasley's or Mrs Potter's" Charlie said looking at his nieces or nephews, not ruling out their girlfriends.
"Maybe because it was a Muggle test…..we should look at who's able to buy such a test, you go into a Muggle chemist and get one" said Percy.
Ron looked at his daughter, being the grandchild of Muggles Rose knew a lot about the Muggle world.
Rose chose not to look as Albus interrupted "Everyone here has access to Muggle chemists" he stated.
"Well it definitely does not belong to me "joked James.
Some people laughed at him.
"So no one has anything to say?" Molly asked looking at her granddaughters, well those that weren't already pregnant.
"Mum I think you better leave it at that, if that person thought they were pregnant and they aren't they shouldn't have to come forward especially in front of their family, it's their own business." Ginny told her.
Molly Weasley conceded defeat and went back in the kitchen to continue cleaning up.
"How did you get her to stop harassing everyone?" Bill asked Ginny.
"Easy, I'm her daughter and I reasoned with her" she winked at her oldest brother.
A few nights later, she came home from work. She found him the kitchen cooking dinner.
"Oh, what are you making for dinner?" she asked, kissing his cheek.
"I hope meatballs and pasta are okay?" he smiled back at her.
"That sounds fine, there's something I need to tell you" she said looking down at her feet.
"Oh this sounds serious, what is it?" he asked turning of the stove with his wand.
"That test that grandma was asking about the other day, it was mine, I'm sorry Scorpius, I didn't mean not tell you, I was just scared" she said starting to cry.
"Well, don't worry about that now, remember you and I can handle anything. I love you Rose" he said hugging her.
"I love you too"
