D9 Female-Emily Canton (15):
The most devastating thing about leaving home was having to say goodbye to my wolves. Other than my parents, of course. They were in hysterics. I guess it's understandable, as I am their only child, but I'm not too terribly worried. Most arenas are nature based, and that will be my advantage. While I may not be the strongest or smartest (at least to my knowledge), I have the survival skills only a wild child can. However, I don't know if I'll win. Survival skills may not help too terribly much if someone has a knife to my throat. I guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it. Especially if Joel is planning what I think he is. I can tell he wants me dead. But hey, it's not all MY fault. I mean, if you pick on someone who has animal friends, you can pretty much guarantee something bad is going to happen to you. Just because he can't have children due to, um, issues involving some reproductive systems since my wolf bit him and all (not that anyone would want to have a kid with that jerk anyways) doesn't mean he should plan my death. I walk into the living room to watch the other Reapings. The first tribute to catch my eye is Luxa. Not because she looks entirely intimidating, but because she isn't a volunteer. That's strange for a Career district. The other Careers, especially that creepy little boy from 4, look slightly worrying. Not as strong as previous years though, so I guess that's good. The first tributes I want to ally with is the boy from 8. He looks strong, yet caring, as he volunteered for the boy he was next to. Other prospective allies I spot are the girl from 5, who looks a little young, but feisty, and the boy from 12. Joel just grumbles next to me the entire time about "Weak ass tributes," and "I got this thing in the bag". A little confident if you ask me, but hey, I'll let him fight his own battles.
D9 Male-Joel Grasher (16):
This whole entire thing is stupid. First off, I'm paired with that fucking Freak of Nature. Couldn't I have gotten a GOOD district partner? She looks like I could snap her like a twig. Second off, our mentor is crap. Her name is Ariel Tyler, and she barely won by hiding in the trees in her lame-ass camping ground set up of an arena and taking out the last tribute, the boy from 6, with a blow-dart to the neck. If that's the kind of tributes I'm going to be facing, I'll win this no problem. I saunter my way into the living room to watch the dumb Reapings, and am not impressed. All of these tributes, with the exception of maybe TWO of the Careers, the muscular boy from 1 and the serial-killer looking one from 4. Again, I have this in the bag. Hell, with the Career pack this year looking as weak as it is, they might just beg me to join to save their wimpy lives.
AN: Hi guys! I am SOOOOOOO sorry about the wait! I've been extremely swamped between taking AP classes and doing 3 shows at once. However, as one of those 3 is about to end, I should have more time to update! Yay! After the train rides, expect the style of writing to slightly change. Instead of doing one district at a time, with both tributes, I plan on doing all 12 per chapter, with one tribute's POV for that chapter and then the next one's for the chapter afterwards. I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, and story! Thanks!~Parkman977
