What are these lights?

What could these lights that shine brightly at times be?

It seems like you can touch them and yet cannot.

So could these lights be shadows of something?

If they are shadows, their bodies must exist somewhere else.

Could things that exist somewhere else in some other world be creating these lights?

"It's done," a girl in a simple white dress said to me.

I turned around and saw a girl standing next to a machine.

"Let's give it a try," she continued.

I nodded.

I could only nod.

I cannot speak in this world. I cannot even feel emotions.

The girl carried me and placed me on the new machine.

"There you go," she said after she secured me on her creation.

She lifted my hands and put them on some type of rod.

I firmly grabbed onto the rod.

The girl walked away and sat on the opposite side of me.

My feet were lifted above the ground as she was pulled down by the gravity.

"See," she called, "this is how you play with this."

She pushed her feet against the ground, and now she was lifted up. I was pushed down.

When my feet touched the ground, I pushed my feet against it, trying to copy her.

I rose, and she descended.

The girl and I continued this cycle.

I heard her giggle.

"It's fun, isn't it?" she said.

I nodded in agreement.

Toys meant to be played by two people.

Before I came into this world, she couldn't do this even if she wanted to.

I wonder what she did when she was alone...

...when she was alone in this sad world...

When we walked away from the toy, we sat in a field nearby.

"If only I could shed tears," she sighed.

Wind blew her hair, and she grabbed onto her arms, shiverring.

"I guess winter exists in a world like this."

Does this sky lead to another world?

Would that world, perhaps, be where I came from? The warm and lively world?
