The Final Battle

Asyree's POV

We were flying over the city of Falier, the one that is evacuated, when we saw the army. It spanned for miles on either side and could actually fit several Warfangs in it. I couldn't believe the amount of apes there were. And they were only a few miles from the city.

I searched and searched for the hostages who include my mate, Cynder, and Ali and Cyrus's respectful girlfriends. When we flew closer I saw four cages. They were all being carried by large apes. I spotted my mate and I wanted to fly to her, but I knew that could've been a bad idea.

Instead we all landed just a few feet in front of army's front lines. The apes all growled and cursed, but stopped their moving and didn't even try to attack.

"They're up to something," I deduced," or told to stop."

Hiali spoke up," I will try to gather up any resistance I can."

"No," I said, "just get somewhere safe. The people need a guardian.

She nods and flies off into the distance.

After she left, a white dragon flew out from nowhere. He was exactly the same one from yesterday of course. He had 4 horns on his head. His underbelly was also white and his wings were a scary red color.

He landed in front of us with a smile on his face.

"My name is Axis, and I will be your destroyer today," he said.

None of us were entertained, in fact, we were just really mad.

Axis only smiled at us," I see you just want to die. Fair enough."

He smacks us with his tail so fast we couldn't react. We all fly miles and into the city. We recovered and he was already flying toward us. We needed a plan.

"Shifts" Spyro suggested, "Two fighting him, two trying to defend the city. Use everything except the strongest elementals."

We decided: Spyro and I will fight while Ali and Cyrus defend.

Ali and Cyrus flew to attack the army. Axis stopped in front of us.

"They going to take on the army? Too bad. They won't get to die with you…" he said.

"No," I said, "Too bad they don't get to kill you first!"

Spyro and I attacked him with Fire. Axis took burns all over his body and he flew back, muttering curses.

Spyro and I continued our attack. I switched to electricity while he went to ice. It annoyed Axis further, while he was being frozen and shocked. He broke free however, and shot a blast of convexity at us.

We barely dodged, and he had enough time to throw Spyro into a building. He whipped his tail at me and it hits me on my side.

I grabbed it while in a lot of pain. Axis wasted no time and began to relentlessly punch me in my face.

"Had enough?" He said through punches.

With a bloody lip I replied, "Only more reasons to see you fall."

He growled at my reply and throws a punch that sends me flying. I landed on the ground, hard.

I coughed up blood, but wasn't hurt too bad. I flew up in time to see Spyro engage him. For a minute he had the upper hand, sending barrages of large ice shards at him. They hit him and they definitely hurt him. He finally hit Spyro with a hard punch to the chest. He got the upper hand again and proceeded to hit him with more punches.

"He's going easy on us," I said to myself," Using melee and not convexity. He wants to torture us."

I stopped watching my friend getting beat and caught Axis off guard with a flame attack.

"You bugs can't wait to be squashed?" Axis said.

I ignored him and landed a clean punch across his face, giving Spyro a chance to get away from him.

We attacked as a team this time, delivering multiple blows over Axis's face. He seemed to struggle with our attacks, but I knew it wasn't enough. I just hoped the boys were lessening the army.

Cyrus's POV

Pretty basic stuff. We tried to kill off the apes and stop complete destruction of the city. So far we were doing alright. The apes were trained but still pretty stupid. They had no strategy other than swing swords and shoot bows. They often missed us because of our speed and hit other apes, starting huge fights that ended with them all being killed.

I still wanted a shot at Axis for taking Tina, but for some reason I couldn't find the cages.

I stuck to my job and slayed apes with ease.

Ali then looked at our fathers battling Axis and I followed his gaze. The offense switched again and again, and either side got the upper hand at times.

"Is it time to switch?" Ali said.

"I dunno," I said.

Suddenly a lound bang occurred and our fathers were knocked to the ground below us. They weren't in the best shape.

"Switch, boys" Asyree said.

He didn't have to tell us twice.

Together we rushed at Axis.

"New competition," Axis said, "How nice."

We shot blasts of fire and electricity at him. He dodges and countered with convexity.

We dodged as well, and met him in melee combat.

We did a little better than our dads. Ali attack his back and I would hit the front.

No homo.

It worked until he ducked when both of us punched, then hit both of us away.

We recovered quickly however, and shot fire and earth attacks at him. He seemed to be overwhelmed with trying to avoid them, and got hit anyway.

"All of us! Attack now!" Spyro said as all four of us rushed at Axis.

He couldn't defend himself, and for a moment, I thought we could win right now.

We got a good combo going. I smacked him into the air, Ali knocked him back down, then Spyro froze him halfway, then Asyree burned him.

He'd finally had enough.

"YOU DAMNED INSOLENT TWITS! ENOUGH! I will kill the ones you love while you watch!" Axis said.

"You mad bro?" Ali said.

"SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR LOVED ONES!" Axis said.

He flew up into the air and spit out a small white ball. It looked harmless, but still it headed straight toward his army. We were too far away to intercept it.

"NOOOOOOO!" Ali said.

It hit the ground and a huge, deafening explosion destroyed the entire army.

I found the cages before they were completely obliterated before my eyes.

We all watched as the dust cleared and the grass was littered with ape bodies. I didn't see any dragon bodies, and I assumed the worst.

And despair and sadness turned to pure unadulterated rage.

I turned slowly over to Axis, who laughed and taunted us.

"Now, pests, it is time for you to join them!" Axis said.

He flew up to the top of the building. He prepared another white breath attack. This one was bigger, and so powerful that it warped the area around us, even from that far away.

We didn't care about that.

We didn't care that he could kill us.

We didn't care that he wanted to destroy everything and make a new empire.

He killed my mother. He's going to pay dearly with his life.

My scales began to turn dark.

Asyree's POV

Everyone's scales turned jet black as we got ready to face Axis. The ground around us lifted up in chunks. The earth rumbled around us.

I knew this was the moment. This was where we would defeat him. We had to give everything we had into this one all charged the elements.

Ali used Fire, Spyro used Ice, I, electricity, and

Axis seemed to finish charging before us, "IT IS TIME!"

We got ready anyway.

"TIME TO DIEEE!" Axis said.

He fired his pure white beam at us.

No choices left we shot our own beams at him. The tornado-force winds blew around us as the attack raced toward Axis.

And then they clashed.

We began to struggle. We were forced into the ground, and we barely held on.

"It appears you are already failing. This will be easy!" Axis said.

He was right. We were failing everybody. Sparx, Alio, Alia, Ignitus, Cynder, Terrador, Hunter, Volteer, Cyril. We could lose and they'd all die.

In fact, I thought I could see the Guardians now, firing their own beams to support us.

It took a minute to process.

They are here, and supporting us!

"We couldn't help ourselves! After they went missing, we knew we had to get here!" Terrador said.

Their efforts actually help us out a little.

Axis struggled, "Ugh, I hate these new guys already."

Despite the Guardians being here we can't win this struggle.

"We have to give it all we got!" I said.

"Cross the beams?" Cyrus said.

"No," Ali said, "bad idea."

I had an idea. I remembered a technique that could be used as last ditch.

"Don't try to stop me guys," I said.

"What?" they said.

I didn't answer and I stopped my beam. Luckily they didn't weaken too much, so I could carry out my plan.

I flew up behind Axis. He turned his head a little.

"What are you doing?" he said.

"Distracting you," I said.

I struck him multiple times, clearly annoying him.

"CUT THAT OUT! OW, OW!" he said.

I kept going on. I wouldn't stop until….

Axis turned to me halfway, trying to keep his breath focused. He failed anyway, and the beams from my friends and family disintegrated his left wing.

He yelled out in pain and really got to cursing now. He was getting ready to attack but it was already too late for him.

Just as planned, I thought.

I summoned every last bit of energy I had. I then concentrated it and…

I exploded it out.

Axis couldn't handle it. He was shocked to nothingness. He was completely gone forever. It was the last thing I saw before I closed my eyes.

I didn't think I could kill him instantly honestly. I thought he'd be weakened too much for him to fight back.

Regardless, our war is over and peace has returned. To both my world and this world.

"Peace," I said before I blacked out.

Later that day…

I woke up in a soft bed in a nursery with a splitting headache. There was breakfast on the desk next to me, but I left it alone as I looked around.

Spyro, his son, and my son, were all on beds to my right. I smiled and realized we'd did it. We really did it.

"Good morning, Asyree," a familiar voice said.

I turned and to my complete joy, my mate stood there.

"How did you-"

"Just after the explosion, Hiali used a technique that teleported us out with lightning bolts, cool huh?" Alia said.

I hugged her, tight. I didn't ever want to feel like I lost her ever again. She giggled a little and hugged me back.

We sat there for minutes, just glad to be alive and seeing each other again.

All I wanted to do now was just go home and take a long nap.

One Week Later

It's been a week. We're back home, Ali dating Shia, and Cyrus with Tina. The Guardians are back to their duties and so are the ones of the other world. In fact, Hiali's world is currently being rebuilt, and we will visit them in the future to see their progress.

Today, we were all in the temple. Truly Everyone I'd met in these years. We stood there, remembering.

"13 years ago. I met Spyro and Cynder here 13 years ago," I said.

"It really wasn't so long ago, I feel," Cynder said.

"It wasn't. Like yesterday we'd just met, and today, best friends," Spyro concluded.

We finished our "day of remembrance" with a fly to my old, old cave. We haven't been here in years. It had spider webs and was super dusty. I looked at the beautiful lake and sighed a satisfied sigh.

"Good ol' days" I said.

Suddenly something falls down from the sky. It was too far away to tell what it was but it landed in the large lake.

"Here we go again," I said as we flew toward the site.

Yes, this is the end of Dragons To Behold. And I left big cliffhanger at the end too. Is it the start of another adventure? I am thinking of a crossover, and again I mention someone popular from Sega. If you like the idea and want me to continue with it, Review or PM please.
