Hello any loyal people still here! I have no better excuse than I piled myself up with too many extra curricular activities and that I've been trying to keep my grades super duper high. Luna is so sad and regretful. Here is chapter fours and the other story's chapters should be coming out soon. :P
Fangs POV
It was just a regular Saturday, or as regular as a Saturday could be for a person like me. I'm Fang and I have a special, power so to say. I can cut off all emotions from myself or others. Whoa, were you even expecting that? I don't know, I don't know you. I lived in a large house with four other people with special powers as well. There's Nudge, the speed talker, she's able to live without the necessities of life. Like air, which she uses highly to her advantage. Still, breathing was so natural sometimes she just did it to amuse herself. Then there's Gazzy. Not only does he have a powerful fart, but he can produce any sort of toxin, acid, gas, poison, etcetera. Not exactly the best to put in the hands of an eight year old. Angel, his little sister, she's able to change your mind with a single thought and project an aura that challenges the authority or leadership of others. Last of all there was Iggy. He's blind but can still use it to his advantages. He can have these visions and can do a certain thing where he can see in another persons point of view.
We were just a really weird flock, as we called ourselves. There was also Doctor Martinez. She was a veterinarian but also our caretaker. She was nice and a great cook, often making chocolate chip cookies, even though none of us were super huge fans of them. She also has a daughter names Ella. Ella is a normal girl but is super cautious and acts very close to us.
We all went to a school called 'West Riverview High' at least Iggy, Ella, and I did. Nudge went to 'West Riverview Junior High' and Gazzy and Angel went to 'West Riverview Elementary'. Aren't those just the most creative names ever?
I have a girlfriend, Lissa, who is overall pretty nice but can be harsh to those who try and be friends with me and is a bit controlling. She has super red hair which is dyed since no hair could be that freaking red and green eyes. She's popular and most of my family is not. No one knows about our 'powers' but if they did they would taunt us forever, either that or be scared and horrified.
My small flip phone buzzed on my bedside table and I flipped it open. Another text from Lissa, it read 'Hey babe! ;)' I rolled my eyes slightly, she had been sending me a lot of texts lately. I'm pretty sure I went over my monthly text limit.
'Lissa, could you stop texting me. I don't have unlimited texting.' I quickly typed at her. I heard the door downstairs squeak open and some talking but ignored it.
'Oh, yeah, sorry Nick!' She answered, calling me by my actual name. I didn't like to use it and I hated people using it on me but she always did as a little joke. I smiled slightly and heard a loud screech from downstairs.
"HEY EVERYBODY! THERE'S SOMEONE HERE!" That would be Ella. She had huge lungs probably because of her playing the Tuba. The others rushed downstairs, but I stayed put on my bed.
"FANG STOP SEXTING YOUR GOD DAMN GIRLFRIEND AND GET DOWN HERE!" Ella yelled again. I sighed audibly and majestically clunked down the stairs. There in the doorway was a girl around my age standing jitterishly. She had long blonde brown hair and brown eyes along with a tan. I guess she was pretty.
Nudge was the first to step up, "Hi! I'm Monique, but call me Nudge! Monique is pretty and all but totally not me, do I look like a Monique to you? I wish my name was, like, Morgan or something, my friends name is Morgan but we call her MoMo for short! I love that nickname! Anyways, who are you? I'm Monique, but you can call me Nudge." She said, smiling happily at the girl.
"Well, I'm Max, and I-" The girl started but Iggy cut her off.
"Guys, she's one of us." He said, his blind eyes widening. So did ours and Max looked at us suspiciously.
"One of what?" She asked suspiciously. Ella quickly shut the door behind her and we dragged Max into the kitchen, all while she withered around, trying to get free of our tight grasp. We finally got her into a seat at the large wooden table and closed the curtains on a woman jogging with her dog.
"We know what you are." Ella said menacingly.
"Fine, just don't take me back to that hell hole. I'm already dead meat where I stand." Max said exasperatedly. Then, she started laughing. Like full blown crazy laughing. As if she just heard the best joke ever.
We looked at each other, seriously contemplating if she was crazy or something. I nudged Iggy, as if saying 'go look through her eyes.' He nodded in understanding and his face contorted with concentration before he became ridged. He was in Max's mind. While Max would still have control, Iggy would be like a spectator for a show.
Iggy POV
I concentrated, my face screwing up as if I was in pain. I tried to get my consciousness into Max's body. It wasn't easy but I finally did. I could see everything through her eyes. She soon stopped laughing and started to look around slowly at all of our bodies. I would still never find it normal to see my own body from someone else's point of view.
"What's up with him?" Max asked, pointing at my rigid body.
"He's, err, constipated." Nudge answered uncertainly. Seriously Nudge, constipated? I almost didn't notice the girl by my body. I gasped from inside Max's mind. There was a girl who seemed about eighteen but was almost completely see through. If you looked at her from the corner of your eye she seemed solid. She had golden ringlets and a baby blue eyes. She was wearing an old fashion baby blue dress and seemed to be from some other time century. She poked my body, her finger going right through my body. I shivered, feeling the cold even from here. When she pulled her hand out it was bloody and she wiped it on her ghostly dress.
"He does not seem constipated." The weird ghost like girl said, "Fio, Shay girl. Come here. Does he seem constipated." She crossed her arms and leaned back as if to examine my body. Two girls came over. One looked like Nudge with darker skin and an orange African halter on. Her dark hair was in a long braid held by a blood stained ribbon. The other seemed like she was from the grunge era, with punk clothes and piercings.
"Definitely not." The punk girl said.
"Not in my opinion." The Nudge twin said.
"If I wasn't dead I'd punch his arse." The punk one said. Wait, dead? This Max girl could see dead people. Cool.
"Shay. That is not appropriate." The ringlet girl snapped. I felt a pull at the gut of my consciousness and was quickly pulled back into my body. I gasped and doubled over, surely scaring the ghosts away.
"She…she can see ghosts!" I gasped out before having to take a seat at the table. Max's eyes widened by about an inch and so did everyone else's. They suddenly became more defensive of every gust of wind that billowed through the still air.
"What, no no I can't." Max said, shaking her head quickly.
"Yes you can. I'm Iggy, I get visions and can send my consciousness into others bodies. Fang can cut off all emotions, Angel can change your mind if she wants and can send off a leader aura, Gazzy can produce dangerous toxins, gases, acids, etecetra, and Nudge is able to live without the necessities of life." I said slowly, "And you, Maximum Ride, can see the dead." Max's eyes widened a bit.
"How did you know my name?" She asked, her breathing hitching as her eyes flickered out the silver in the window curtain. I knew she was looking at the tips of the trees in the forest. That's where all of our eyes would flicker every once and a while.
"I didn't, just a lucky guess. But listen Maximum, you can trust us. We are like you. We fear the same thing as you. We are alike and we are connected. You can trust us, if we can trust you."
Umm…okay, that was my update. So sorry again! The others plan to be out soon. Lazy Loser Luna Lacks The Skill To Properly Learn To Love Her Readers Devotion And Actually Update Sooner.
