(Amy's POV)
I smiled at Cole before departing the hospital room. Then I quickly turned my head beforeg he could see my blush. Of course she had to take me at the wrong time. I followed Dr. Martinez out to the lobby only to find myself face to face with angry parents. "Amy I've been worried sick!" My mom said. "When your dad and I saw the note we rushed here."
"Don't you EVER do that again!" My dad snapped. Thank god Cole wasn't here to see this; I would be seriously embarrassed.
"I..know dad..I'm...so sorry," I said with a hint of fear in my voice. Scoffing my dad turns to leave by my mother grabs his sleeve.
"Don't be upset at Amy she was just doing what she thought was best; I...would have done the same,"
(Silence)
"...Humph Whatever." It didn't matter what I did I would always never get my dad to like me..ever.
"Amy's let's go," my mom says. I nod my head and follow her out. Leaving my dad standing there silent for the first time.
I sat crossed-legged on my bed staring at my phone on the bed. Sounds of muffled voices filled my ears. My parents were arguing once again. It was because of me and my dissaperance. I breathed quietly as my heart raced faster and faster. This wasn't certainly the first time my parents fought and it won't be the last. I heard my father yell then the door slammed shut. Then that's when I heard the D word.
Divorce
Yes I know saying "the D word" sounds a little childish but I can bear to think of my parents living in separate houses. I set my phone beside me and pulled up my covers and slept.
