The Other Girl Chapter 3: Surprise bitch, I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me
Disclaimer: I don't own Pretty Little Liars. I wish I did, but I don't.
"Ezra, hey." Aria said once I grabbed her hand under the table. She quickly gave me a peck on the lips. Everyone else at the table soon started saying their greetings to me.
"Hey guys," I said waving at the entire table. "Sorry I'm late. Traffic wasn't the best tonight."
"It's alright Fitzy, we didn't order yet." Hanna said before a twenty year old waitress walked up to our table.
"How are we doing tonight? My name is Leah and I'll be your waitress this evening. Can I start you guys off with anything to drink?" Leah said in an overly happy and excited voice. It matched her appearance from the short brown hair to the sparkly red shoes on her feet. The first two buttons on her white uniform blouse were unbuttoned.
"We'll have eight Cokes." Hanna spoke for the group. Agreements were heard around the table.
"Actually I'll have a Guinness, please." I heard myself say before I could stop myself. What am I doing ordering beer with teenagers present? That's not professional. Does it matter right now though? This isn't the most professional situation of the moment.
"Okay, seven Cokes and a beer for the gentleman. Any appetizers?" Leah asked writing in her booklet.
"No, no we're good, thanks." Aria said giving me an odd look. To which I replied with only a shrug of my shoulders. I have to start making better judgements or else this night could end up being a total disaster.

The night progressed with Aria having the time of her life and with me awkwardly trying not to look at Spencer but it was hard with the fact that Spencer is sitting directly across from me. Toby and I seemed to share a bit of interest over cars and some music. I'll admit I am a bit jealous of Toby for being able to hold Spencer's hand, for being able to kiss Spencer, for just being able to be with Spencer. I wanted nothing more than to be the man Spencer was going home with tonight.
Even though I was trying to not look at Spencer, I did notice that she wasn't as engaged in conversation as everyone else at the table. There were moments when Hanna was trying to tell Spencer something and she was just looking at her plate lost in thought. I can't even begin to describe how beautiful she looked, so I won't. Its better that I don't.
At the end of the evening Spencer and I shared zero words apart from "hello" and "goodnight". I was driving to my apartment with Aria when she said something that fought me off guard."Do you think Spencer was acting weird tonight? I mean I know it is a little odd to be breaking bread with your English teacher but everyone else seemed to get along fine with you being there."
"Well," I didn't know how to continue. I didn't want to think or talk about Spencer. I quickly decided to just say anything and hope it doesn't come off like I want to get off."Spencer, she isn't like everyone else. I mean this is the first time that we've done something that isn't student teacher related, but I'm sure over time that she and I will be the best of friends." Aria and I laughed at the thought of Spencer and I as friends but Aria stopped laughing as soon as she begun. By the look on her face she was thinking about something.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked after a moment. We finally made it back to my apartment but neither of us made any move to get out the car. Aria looked at me for a moment. "You know, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. You and Spencer being friends I mean. I think you guys could really hit it off."
"Aria, don't you think that's kinda a bad idea, I mean what can we talk about? 'Hey Spence! You know that homework assignment I gave to your class the other day, how's that going?' " I had to get this idea out of her head. I can't afford to be more attracted to Spencer.
"Ezra, you're both smart people. I'm sure you'll think of something to talk about." And with that she walked out of the car. Oh Aria, if you only knew that I want to be a bit more than friends.
Haha, hey guys! Wow it's been like what, two years? You look great. Granted I don't think anyone who originally subbed to this story is still following it but hey, I felt like it was time to update even though this kinda sucks.. Such a small chapter for two years of writing. If I don't update by next Saturday can you please yell at me or something? That'd be great
