Waltz in the Moonlight
miraculously melting into his sheets,
her dark hair fades into the snowy silk
and he sings to her soft skin
until it's returns his sleepless lullaby
they waltz in the moonlight
their feet leaving stains
on the earth's soft grasses
she asks him not to plant seeds
he has no intention of watering
and he holds her close
close enough to besmirch her heart
and doesn't say a word.
